Did John O. Brennan have 4 million reasons to commit treason and attempt to overthrow President Trump.
Brennan hid proprietary ownership of stock in an indispenable government contractor and arranged for that Govt Contractor to be spun off for an Initial Public Offering. According to SEC.gov documents and OGE.gov documents he owned at least 200,000 shares of GTEC stock that was sold for $24.25 each to Ares Management for cash. At one point Brennan had $4.85 million in cash in his 401K due to terms of the sale to Ares Management.
Brennan lied on his Personal Public Financial Disclosure forms for eight years (Title 18 USC 1001 violations) and stated the value of his 401k was only worth between $50K and $200K. The purpose of his false official statements was to hide his windfall while he violated Conflict of Interest laws because he was the President's National Security Advisor for Counterterrorism and Director CIA for the 8-years in question. The Intent to conceal portion of 18 USC 1001 rates a 5-year sentence for each count. For just these offenses Brennan is looking at 20-years in prison.
Damn straight he had motive to overthrow President Trump.
