To the degree that child sex trafficking is a problem in America, it is pretty much entirely result of a lack of housing, quality foster care, and a social safety net for the most vulnerable young people in our society. These are desperate people in desperate situations. We know what the solutions to these problems are, we just don’t do anything about it. It’s not that our government is run by pedophiles, it’s literally the exact opposite. It’s run by people who don’t give a fuck about kids.
