Holy shit, my aunt works at THAT EXACT courthouse as a clerk and got issued some kind of security clearance recently, I know because they came and asked me some basic questions as part of the process, even though I live 500+ miles away. It was pretty much just stuff about if she had a gambling problem, foreign boyfriend, anything that could have her be blackmailed or whatever. She's legit and I told them as much. It was US Marshals btw.
