Israel-Gaza: How much money does Israel get from the US?

In 2020, the US gave $3.8bn (£2.7bn) in aid to Israel - part of a long-term, yearly commitment made under the Obama administration. Almost all of this aid was for military assistance.

This support came as part of an agreement signed by former president Barack Obama in 2016 for an overall package of $38bn (26.8bn) in military aid over the decade 2017-2028.

This represents an increase of about 6% (adjusted for inflation) over the spending commitment for the previous decade.

How has Israel used US money?

Over the years, US aid has helped Israel develop one of the most advanced militaries in the world, with the funds allowing them to purchase sophisticated military equipment from the US.

When I first entered the Republican presidential primary field in June, I knew I was a dark horse candidate with a path to victory that would contain many obstacles. But as I traveled across the country, I met so many Americans who believed in my campaign’s message of unity and common sense.

I urge donors, voters, and other candidates to unite around an alternative candidate to Trump. Otherwise, we will repeat the same errors as in 2016. If the Republican party nominates Donald Trump or the various personalities jockeying to imitate his divisive, crass behavior, we will lose.

I entered this race for a few simple reasons. First, to do what I can to ensure this experiment called America lasts for another 247 years. Second, Americans deserve better than the rematch from hell between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Third, not enough people are talking about real, achievable solutions to the generation-defining challenges that are in front of us, including artificial intelligence, our new Cold War with China, and the complexity of the ongoing crisis at our southern border.

Our nation deserves a leader who can unite us and navigate the complex challenges we face, particularly when it comes to our national security. I believe Ambassador Nikki Haley is the best person in this race to do that. Ambassador Haley has shown a willingness to articulate a different vision for the country than Donald Trump and has an unmatched grasp on the complexities of our foreign policy. I wholeheartedly endorse Ambassador Haley and look forward to supporting her for the remainder of this race.

Thirty-one years ago, then-President George H. W. Bush created the ENERGY STAR program, a certification of "energy efficiency" scheme that you have probably noticed emblazoned on at least one of your home appliances. Well, it turns out that ENERGY STAR, like most things in the United States, is a total scam.

The very concept of "certified" energy efficiency is a myth that hinges on another myth known as "climate change," which back in 1992 when the ENERGY STAR program first began was more often referenced as "global warming." The whole thing is, as usual, a money-making scam that serves to tighten the noose on American freedom.

When Papa Bush first launched ENERGY STAR, his regime claimed that government scientists had somehow developed new technologies to reduce electrical consumption in consumer products. The problem is that these alleged scientists never published any actual evidence to back their pie-in-the-sky claims.

"As the government made extraordinary claims about their new premium-priced brand, very few knew it was supposedly part of a voluntary program," explains Conor Coughlin, writing for Lid Blog. "That was simply not true. The ENERGY STAR brand has been mandated for use by the government since early 1993, and the program had connections to the UN since day one."

ENERGY STAR designed to funnel TRILLIONS of dollars to select "stakeholders"

From the start, Bush lied about what ENERGY STAR even was. It was never a strictly government program designed to benefit the public interest. Instead, it was crafted in such a way to enrich the one percent while destroying the lives and liberty of everyone else.

The "science" behind it came from foreign sources using what Coughlin describes as "a Multi-Agent System (MAS) known only to a few high-level Globalists." The multinational corporation that was chosen to be an authorized ENERGY STAR provider is South Korea-based Samsung.

When Bill Clinton became president after Bush's reign of terror, he passed an executive order mandating that every subdivision of the government purchase only EPA-approved products with an ENERGY STAR label and approval.

"That set up a massive Pay-To-Play scheme, which allowed national, regional, and state bureaucracies to act as power brokers for corporate partners that could operate under the UN's new business-driven agenda," Coughlin explains.

"When considering the EPA's delusional energy-saving claims, the media supplied their own subjective judgment. They were getting paid well to portray their business partners as the UN's protector for the world's poor and downtrodden. In a process that is literally known as Virtue Signaling!"

Unfortunately for Americans, the ENERGY STAR program is still evolving to become an even worse threat to the country. Just this year, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a media release stating that the program has now "advanced" to include a new energy management system for so-called "smart homes" that will supposedly help Americans to save energy, money, and of course, the climate.

Since ENERGY STAR at its very inception forced the country into the United Nations' Agenda 21 Development Plan – Bush was, of course, a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director – it only makes sense for the program to continue morphing into the wealth redistribution scam it always was.

The UN Agenda 21 Development Plan, as Coughlin explains, is all about "forcing rich industrialized nations to pay the UN to protect poorer nations." And all the while, those running the show are funneling as much cash into their own pockets as possible while everyone else gets poorer.

The US military has brushed off media concerns about ammunition and equipment

Washington can meet all of West Jerusalem’s requests for weapons, equipment and ammunition while continuing to support Kiev, a Pentagon spokeswoman told reporters on Monday.

“We are able to continue our support both to Ukraine, Israel, and maintain our own global readiness,” a senior Defense Department official said in a background briefing.

“While we are providing and will continue to provide a significant amount of support to Ukraine, we are careful about ensuring we can also respond to other crises and contingencies, support other partners and maintain our own military readiness and our ability to support others,” the official later added.

The US has been able to meet “every every request that our Israeli counterparts have made” and anticipate to see “continual delivery” on some of those requests, the official also said. While declining into specifics, the spokesperson said this does apply to ‘Iron Dome’ systems and other air defenses.

The Pentagon is “working as fast as possible”to expedite the delivery of “critically needed”ammunition and equipment, as well as contacting military contractors to expedite pending Israeli orders.

When reporters voiced concerns about how the US weapons might be used, the Pentagon official said there were “robust end-use monitoring practices and procedures” in place, and that the US was “in constant dialogue with the Israelis about their operational plans.”

US cargo planes have already begun landing in Israel, even as the government in West Jerusalem announced a “total siege” of Gaza in reprisal for Hamas incursions that began on Saturday. The conflict, which began on Saturday, is the bloodiest that Israel has seen since 1973.

The Pentagon has described the deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean as “an unequivocal demonstration in deed and not only in words of US support for Israel’s defense.” The carrier is supposed to “serve as a deterrent signal to Iran, Lebanese Hezbollah, and any other proxy across the region who might be considering exploiting the current situation to escalate conflict,” the official said.

Most of us have been aware of Hamas for decades now. They are widely recognized as a radical Muslim terrorist group committed to the destruction of Israel. Hamas holds the official designation of a “terrorist group” by both the United States and the European Union, and they govern Gaza with a ruthlessly firm hand. Their actions, including rocket, mortar, and suicide attacks, have resulted in numerous Israeli casualties over the decades. However, what’s not as widely known is that Hamas owes its existence to Israel and the United States. These two allies played a significant role in the formation and creation of this terror group.

Back in the 1970s, the U.S. and Israel took a fringe group of Palestinian Islamists and transformed them into one of the world’s most notorious and deadly terror organizations ever.

The Intercept:

This isn’t a conspiracy theory. Listen to former Israeli officials such as Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, who was the Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s. Segev later told a New York Times reporter that he had helped finance the Palestinian Islamist movement as a “counterweight” to the secularists and leftists of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Fatah party, led by Yasser Arafat (who himself referred to Hamas as “a creature of Israel.”)

“The Israeli government gave me a budget,” the retired brigadier general confessed, “and the military government gives to the mosques.”

“Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation,” Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official who worked in Gaza for more than two decades, told the Wall Street Journal in 2009. Back in the mid-1980s, Cohen even wrote an official report to his superiors warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing Palestinian Islamists against Palestinian secularists. “I … suggest focusing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face,” he wrote.

They didn’t listen to him. And Hamas, as I explain in the fifth installment of my short film series for The Intercept on blowback, was the result. To be clear: First, the Israelis helped build up a militant strain of Palestinian political Islam, in the form of Hamas and its Muslim Brotherhood precursors; then, the Israelis switched tack and tried to bomb, besiege, and blockade it out of existence.

While this information has been accessible for quite some time, no one has explained it as effectively as our own Ron Paul back in the day. He revealed how the United States and Israel played a role in the creation of Hamas as a countermeasure against Yasser Arafat, the Palestinian political leader and chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

Sadly, this isn’t really “shocking” news when you consider the history of the United States. Many of the terrorist groups currently in existence have been influenced or supported in some way by the United States. This often happens when the U.S. is involved in funding wars or supporting certain groups labeled as “rebels.” As time passes, these same “rebels” we once supported often become our sworn enemies, perpetuating the cycle of endless forever wars.

FBI Knew New York Post’s Hunter Biden Laptop Story Was Real Ahead Of 2020 Election, FBI Form Shows

The FBI knew the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop featured in the New York Post’s reporting ahead of the 2020 presidential election were real, according to a newly released FBI FD-302 form summarizing the bureau’s interview with Hunter Biden’s former business associate, Tony Bobulinski.

The FBI interviewed Bobulinski on Oct. 23, 2020 after the New York Post’s story contained emails from the Hunter Biden laptop archive Bobulinski was copied on, the FD-302 form states. Bobulinski told the FBI he knew the emails were legitimate and had records of the emails on multiple cell phones, the form asserts. READ THE FBI FORM:“In addition, the New York Post recently published HUNTER BIDEN emails in which BOBULINSKI was copied. BOBULINSKI’s name was not redacted from the published emails, which put his name in the public domain and caused significant concern for his family’s safety,” the document reads. The FD-302 form’s contents were first reported by the New York Post.

“Nonetheless, BOBULINSKI was aware that the emails published by the New York Post were legitimate because BOBULINSKI was copied on them and had records of the emails on his own cellular devices,” the document adds.

“BOBULINSKI declined to provide his three cell phones to the FBI for imaging. BOBULINSKI voluntarily provided the interviewing agents with copies of emails and text messages that were contained on PASSANTINO’s laptop computer. The emails and text messages were loaded onto a flash drive that was in the possession of PASSANTINO,” the document specifies.

The three cell phones Bobulinski brought that contained communications records were no longer in use. One of the phones Bobulinski was using, a Blackberry Key One, appeared to contain Hunter Biden’s contact information, the FD-302 form says. Neither of Bobulinski’s two active phones contained information relevant to the “SinoHawk” joint venture proposal with Chinese business associates that led to discussions about Joe Biden’s involvement.

Bobulinski’s counsel Stefan Passantino was present for the FBI interview, and he said there were no attorney-client privileged communications on the flash drive. FBI examiners observed Passantino loading the documents on the flash drive and ensured the files were properly transferred and saved. The FBI agents provided Passantino with an FD-597 form in connection with the receipt of the flash drive. Both the flash drive and original copy of the FD-597 are maintained as a physical 1A file, according to the FD-302 form.

“BOBULINSKI did not want the FBI to forensically image the iPhone, Blackberry Bold or the Blackberry Key. BOBULINSKI used the three devices for personal communications and other business transactions, and he was sensitive about permitting the entirety of the data on the phones to be imaged and retained by the FBI,” the FD-302 form indicates.

“BOBULINSKI was willing to provide forensic reports produced by a forensic expert recently hired by BOBULINSKI. The forensic expert had fourteen years of experience, including experience working with the FBI. The forensic expert had reviewed the data on the phones and had produced reports on the phones using Cellebrite software,” the form adds.

Bobulinski asked the FBI to take steps to verify the communications on his cell phones by confirming the make and model of the devices. The FBI agents reiterated to Bobulinski he was not obligated to turn the devices over and told Passantino the agents would not be able to selectively search for the relevant texts and data.

The New York Post reported on Oct. 15, 2020 an email sent by Hunter Biden’s former business associate James Gilliar. Gilliar asked about holding 10% of a potential equity stake for “the big guy,” an apparent reference to Joe Biden, who was not holding political office at the time.

“10 held by H for the big guy?” Gilliar asked his business partners in May 2017. Bobulinski was one of the business associates on the email thread featuring Gilliar’s question. Gilliar also apparently sent Bobulinski a text expressing paranoia about Joe Biden’s potential involvement with the joint venture.

The Taliban have been forced to deny claims that they are trying to join Hamas fighters after a fake post on the X social media platform claimed the Afghan militant group wants to travel to fight in the war.

Analysts say this has put the Taliban into the difficult position of publicly backing away from active support for Hamas and possibly angering some of their own cadres.

A social media account, Taliban Public Relations Department, which later changed its name to #Free Palestine, posted on Saturday that the Taliban contacted Iran, Iraq, and Jordan for passage to join Hamas in the ongoing fighting between the militant group and Israel.

The post was viewed 2.5 million times and was also carried by some media outlets.

The head of the Taliban's political office in Doha, Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, told a group of journalists in a WhatsApp group that the news was inaccurate.

"Not correct," he wrote, in answer to a question, adding, "These are rumors, not confirmed news."

The Taliban's spokesperson, Zabiullah Mujahid, told VOA that the Taliban's "foreign ministry has issued a statement, and the Taliban's position is the same."

The Taliban's foreign ministry's statement, issued Saturday, said it is "carefully monitoring the recent events in Gaza."

"The Islamic Emirate considers every kind of defense and resistance of the people of Palestine for the freedom of the land and the holy places to be their legitimate right," added the statement.

The fighting between Israel and Hamas started on Saturday after Hamas fighters breached the fence line along the Gaza border and entered southern Israeli towns.

Hamas was one of the first groups to congratulate the Taliban on taking power in Afghanistan in 2001.

Both groups have met several times since then.

Difficult position

Hashim Wahdatyar, a program director at the Institute of Current World Affairs in Washington, told VOA that the post on X, formerly known as Twitter, put the Taliban in a difficult position.

He said that the Taliban "tilt toward Hamas" and will provide "political, logistical and military" support to the group. Still, they will not "publicly announce" it.

"Taliban won't publicize its support to Hamas since it has obligations according to the Doha agreement that the Taliban must prevent any threat from Afghanistan to the U.S. and its allies, for example, Israel."

Sher Jan Ahmadzai, director of the Center for Afghanistan Studies at the University of Nebraska, said that Taliban involvement in the war would be a violation of the Doha Agreement.

"If the Taliban engage in the Palestine-Israel conflict, this would be considered a direct violation of the Doha deal," he said.

He added that it would be "unprecedented" if the Taliban got involved in the Middle East conflict.

Ahmadzai said that the Taliban might not officially engage; however, "there might be groups of the Taliban fighters who still believe in global jihad and consider the Palestinian-Israel conflict a religious deed to be engaged in."

'Vocal support'

Wahid Faqiri, an Afghan political analyst, told VOA that the Taliban leadership is "trying hard to stay away from foreign involvement."

"They know if they try to do this, the U.S. will cut all financial assistance, arm the opposition, and impose more sanctions," said Faqiri.

The U.N. says that Afghanistan is facing the world's largest humanitarian crisis as more than 28.3 million people, or over two-thirds of the population, are in need of humanitarian assistance.

Thomas Johnson, a research professor at the National Security Affairs Department at Naval Postgraduate School, told VOA that the Taliban's position is "extremely anti-Israeli."

"I just don't know if they have the resources to really add anything to Hamas other than vocal support," Johnson said.

These are Border Patrol apprehensions between ports of entry only, this data does not include CBP encounters at ports of entry.

Border Patrol sources tell me they have extreme concerns about who is coming into the country because they have little to no way of vetting people from these special interest countries. I’m told unless they have committed a crime previously in the US, or they are on some sort of federal watchlist, there’s no way to know who they are because most of their home countries don’t share data/records with the US so there is nothing to match a name to when BP agents run fingerprints.

A special interest alien is a term used by the U.S. government to refer to people coming from countries that have conditions that favor or harbor terrorism, or pose a potential national security to the U.S.

Canada has “debanked” hundreds of Canadian citizens in the past five years, a new report has revealed. Since 2018, a major debanking wave has swept across Canada,affecting over 800 citizens so far.

The number includes hundreds of brave citizens who had risen up against the far-left government as part of the Freedom Convoy protests.The data was unearthed through an access-to-information request by Blacklock’s Reporter.

The information unveiled a disturbing pattern where 837 individuals had their bank accounts shut downover a span of five years. Most of those people to were debanked had disented from the Canadian government’s official agenda.

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada was brought into the loop through grievances lodged with regulatory bodies. The agency shed light on financial strangulation that bypassed cases of validated terrorism and money laundering.

In a deeper dive into the numbers, it’s revealed that the financial shackles tightened around 267 bank accounts and 170 Bitcoin wallets belonging to Freedom Convoy supporters. The total help in the accounts that were shut downwas estimated at $7.8 million.

This exercise in financial censorship spun a web of scrutiny during a hearing onMarch 7, 2022.

Angelina Mason, representing the Bankers Association, testified during the hearing.

Mason outlined that while the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) supplied a list of names, banks were also mandated by separate orders to exercise their judgment in identifying account holders for debanking.

The narrative grew murkier when New Democrat MP Daniel Blaikiequeried about the fate of individualswho were debanked but never featured on the list provided to the RCMP.Mason’s one-word response was a stark “Yes.”

As Slay News reported last year, Canada’s liberal Prime MinisterJustin Trudeauwas interviewed over his role in shutting down bank accounts to quell protests against his tyrannical pandemic policies. Trudeau has said that he felt “serene” while he was ordering the bank accounts of Freedom Convoy protesters to be frozen.

Trudeau made the comment during his testimony before the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC). The PM tried to justify his use of the Emergencies Act to stop the Freedom Convoy protests.

During the protests, he used the Emergencies Act to blacklist and freeze the bank accounts of protesters who were supporting civil liberties.Trudeau admitted that the protests were not violentbut still insisted that he is “confident” with his decision to use a law that has never been used before to stop the protests.

• “There was no loss of life,” Trudeau testified.

• “There was no serious violence.

• “There hasn’t been a recurrence of these kinds of illegal occupations since then.

“I am absolutely serene and confident that I made the right choice in agreeing with the invocation,” Trudeau declared.

The commission isinvestigating whether the government’s decision to use the Emergencies Act was justifiable.Trudeau said that the “responsibility of a prime minister is to make the tough calls and keep people safe.”

Before the Emergencies Act was invoked, Trudeau said that those opposing Covid measures and restrictions were of a “small, fringe minority” who had “unacceptable views.”

Kevin McCarthy Opens Door to Another Run for House Speaker

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has opened the door to the possibility of running for House speaker again. During a new interview, McCarthy refused to rule out another run for his old job, provoking speculation he may be planning another bid.

As Slay News reported, McCarthy had previously said he would not run again as speaker. His comments seemingly closed off any avenue to a possible return and opened the door to other GOP candidates such as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

However, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt asked McCarthy whether he would be open to serving as speaker again if the House was unable to decide on a replacement.

The House GOP scheduled a new speaker election for this Wednesday. McCarthy would not say no, as the Hill reported.

• “Look, the conference has to make that decision,” McCarthy said.

• “I’m still a member,” he added.

• “I’m going to continue to fight and act.

Hewitt pressed McCarthy once more whether he would be willing to return as speaker if the eight Republicans who opposed him backed off.The congressman again refused to rule out the possibility.

“Look, whatever the conference wants, I will do,” he said.

“I think we need to be strong.

“I think we need to be united.

“The eight, in my view, don’t look to be — it was a personal thing.”

McCarthy also blasted the rebel Republicans who voted against the GOP-only stopgap proposal to fund the federal government. He then defended his surrender to the Democrats on the final bill.

“They’re the ones who wanted a government shutdown,” McCarthy said.

“We wouldn’t be paying our troops while we’re putting out a carrier strike fighter there – 30,000 American men and women in our armed services in the Middle East wouldn’t be being paid right now?

“I mean, what weakness would we be at?”

The Hill notes that a handful of Republicans have said McCarthy should be reinstated as speaker.California congressmen John Duarte and Tom McClintockargue that McCarthy should return in light of the terror attack in Israel launched by Hamas. (Primary these assholes.)

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) motion to vacate the chair against McCarthy passed after a vote on the House Floor last Tuesday. This officially removed him from the top job in the House.

Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC), a McCarthy ally, was then appointed as acting Speaker. In his first act as Speaker pro tempore, McHenry ordered former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to “immediately vacate” her private office in the Capitol, as Slay News reported.

(This is exactly the reason why Jordan should not be elected speaker. He’s too beholden to McCarthy and will just continue his policies of deception and lies.)

Hidden Orion from Webb

The Great Nebula in Orion has hidden stars. To the unaided eye in visible light, it appears as a small fuzzy patch in the constellation of Orion. But this image was taken by the Webb Space Telescope in a representative-color composite of red and very near infrared light. It confirms with impressive detail that the Orion Nebula is a busy neighborhood of young stars, hot gas, and dark dust. The rollover image shows the same image in representative colors further into the near infrared. The power behind much of the Orion Nebula (M42) is the Trapezium - a cluster of bright stars near the nebula's center. The diffuse and filamentary glow surrounding the bright stars is mostly heated interstellar dust. Detailed inspection of these images shows an unexpectedly large number of Jupiter-Mass Binary Objects (JuMBOs), pairs of Jupiter-mass objects which might give a clue to how stars are forming. The whole Orion Nebula cloud complex, which includes the Horsehead Nebula, will slowly disperse over the next few million years.
