The Department of Justice interfered in the 2016 and 2020 elections, and with today’s indictment of the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP nomination has signaled its intent to lay waste to the republic to keep the ruling class' preferred candidate in the Oval Office. Does they fear Donald Trump? Of course.
But there’s something else, too — federal law enforcement’s unlawful efforts to tamper with elections are also designed to obscure Democratic Party corruption.
In 2016, the FBI alleged Donald Trump was a Russian agent to spy on his campaign to discover if it had any knowledge of emails hacked from Hillary Clinton’s unsecure server. The fear presumably was that it might give evidence of her corrupt financial arrangements with the foreign governments and enterprises that contributed to the Clinton Foundation while she was secretary of state.
In 2020, under the watchful eye of William Barr, the FBI set up a task force to block social media and press reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop by labeling them "Russian disinformation." The device was full of emails and other documents that gave clear evidence of the Biden family’s influence-peddling operation that sold access to foreign governments and enterprises.
For 2024, the Biden team’s most pressing concern is what the classified documents the President stored in unsecure facilities in his garage and office may reveal about the relationships he formed and arrangements he made as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and then Vice President. Trump is being indicted on charges related to holding classified documents for the same reason he was impeached for asking the Ukrainian government to help investigate what the Biden family was up to in Ukraine — they’re sizing Trump for a crime that fits Joe Biden.
Throughout the entire anti-Trump plot, from 2016 to the present, the underlying rationale motivating the Department of Justice and other US intelligence services, Democratic operatives, and the media has been to obscure the secret deals that the Party’s presidential candidates may have made with foreign officials.

NYT Reporter Highlights Something Peculiar About One of the Charges in Trump Classified Doc Case

We all saw it coming. Donald Trump was indicted Thursday night in the classified document investigation. We know it’s a witch hunt, and the whole affair was spearheaded by anti-Trump zealots in the highly political Biden Department of Justice. We can shout all we want—Trump is still indicted, and a trial date will be set.
If it’s slated for next year, Trump will be saddled with multiple trials, one more ludicrous than the other. However, it’s hard to see how the Republican Party can run effectively with their presumptive frontrunner under indictment. Should Trump win the nomination again, how can the GOP campaign without being peppered with questions about Trump? I’m referring to the races down ticket. The voters will settle that question. As for the charges, that’s another issue: who’s leaking details of the indictment?

Unsurprisingly, this investigative team has more leaks than the Iraqi Navy, but some of what we learned Thursday night shouldn’t have been disclosed. Also, as Katie noted, this indictment dropped just as we discovered smoking gun evidence that Joe Biden was involved in a bribery scheme.
Trump faces several charges, including making false statements and conspiracy to obstruct.
“Our understanding from two sources is that the seven counts against Trump include conspiracy to obstruct and willful retention of documents,” wrote New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. “A third charge is false statements, according to sources familiar with the indictment,” she added.
Yet, Haberman highlights a crucial part of one of the reported indictments.
“It's important to note that one of the charges is conspiracy to obstruct. That requires two people.”
So, who else is being charged and will be next to Trump in the courtroom? Does this person have the stomach to take on the Biden DOJ? I ask because a massive government agency with unlimited resources is quite an opponent, one that could force this other person, whoever they are, to try and hash out a deal, making for more drama.
Also, violations of the Espionage Act have been floated around. Keep an eye on that, too.

If we look to the comparative strength and resources of Spain and those new Governments, and their distance from each other, it must be obvious that she can never subdue them. It is still the true policy of the United States to leave the parties to themselves, in the hope that other powers will pursue the same course.
Each Government, confiding in its own strength, has less to apprehend from the other, and in consequence each, enjoying a greater freedom of action, is rendered more efficient for all the purposes for which it was instituted.

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Trump said his federal indictment is "election interference at the highest level," telling Fox News Digital that the Biden administration is "the most corrupt" in history.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital Thursday night, Trump said the case is "election interference" and "the greatest witch hunt of all time." Trump said he will "of course" plead not guilty to charges in federal court on Tuesday, and said he is "totally innocent."
Trump, the current front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, was indicted on federal charges Thursday evening stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith's months-long investigation into the former president’s alleged improper retention of classified records at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
Trump is listed in the indictment, which has not been unsealed, as a criminal defendant charged with at least seven counts involving obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and illegal retention of classified government material. He has been ordered to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday. The indictment remains unsealed.
"This is the most corrupt administration in history—there has never been an administration so corrupt, and they’re just starting to find it right now," Trump told Fox News Digital. "They are trying to deflect all of their dishonesty by bringing this ridiculous boxes hoax case."
He added: "They’re not going to get away with it."
JOE BIDEN ALLEGEDLY PAID $5M BY BURISMA EXECUTIVE AS PART OF A BRIBERY SCHEME, ACCORDING TO FBI DOCUMENT
"I did absolutely nothing wrong," he said, citing the Presidential Records Act, saying it "makes me totally innocent."
President Biden is under special counsel investigation for his alleged improper retention of classified records from his time as vice president in the Obama administration and as a senator.
When asked whether he thought Biden could, too, be charged, Trump said, "Probably not—nothing will happen."
He said the indictment was handed down Thursday because it was the same day an allegation, first revealed by Fox News Digital, emerged that Biden received $5 million for involvement in a bribery scheme.

Fox News Digital, hours before the indictment, exclusively reported that a confidential human source told the FBI during a June 2020 interview that President Biden was allegedly paid $5 million by an executive of the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, where his son Hunter Biden sat on the board.
Sources familiar briefed Fox News Digital on the contents of the subpoenaed FBI-generated FD-1023 form alleging a criminal bribery scheme between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national that involved influence over U.S. policy decisions.
"The reason that they did this today, at this time, is because of the fact that the $5 million was found out in the document, and that’s just the beginning," Trump said.
Fox News Digital exclusively reported that the FD-1023 form was an interview with a "highly credible" confidential source who detailed multiple meetings and conversations he or she had with a top Burisma executive over the course of several years, starting in 2015. Fox News Digital has not seen the form, but it was described by several sources who are aware of its contents.
Sources familiar told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source believes that the $5 million payment to Joe Biden and the $5 million payment to Hunter Biden occurred, based on his or her conversations with the Burisma executive.
The confidential source said the Burisma executive told him he "paid" the Bidens in such a manner "through so many different bank accounts" that investigators would not be able to "unravel this for at least 10 years."
The document then makes reference to "the Big Guy," which, has been said to be a reference to Joe Biden.
The Burisma executive told the confidential source that he "didn’t pay the Big Guy directly."
A source familiar said according to the document, the $5 million payments appeared to reference a kind of "retainer" Burisma intended to pay the Bidens to deal with a number of issues, including his effort to end the investigation into Burisma led by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin. Another source referred to the arrangement as a "pay-to-play" scheme.
Biden has acknowledged that when he was vice president, he successfully pressured Ukraine to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin. At the time, Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings, and at the time, Hunter had a highly-lucrative role on the board receiving thousands of dollars per month. The then-vice president threatened to withhold $1 billion of critical U.S. aid if Shokin was not fired.
In 2019, then-President Trump, pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to launch investigations into the Biden family’s actions and business dealings in Ukraine —specifically Hunter Biden’s ventures with Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and Joe Biden’s successful effort to have Shokin ousted.
Trump was later impeached by the House of Representatives for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress – all stemming from the phone call and the question about the Bidens' dealings. The Senate voted for acquittal in February 2020.
"I was asking the right question," Trump said, referring to his July 2019 phone call with Zelenskyy. "I said, ‘if you have any corruption on the Biden administration, call our attorney general.’ I was doing my job—and it turns out, my job was done correctly."

Jumping ahead of a pending judge's punishment, two federal prosecutors volunteered to be reassigned from their posts in U.S. District Attorney Alexander Acosta's Office.
The pair faced stiff penalties for allegedly trying to get an edge on the defense in a malpractice case by eavesdropping on recorded phone conversations between witnesses and the defense attorney.
A federal judge called their actions "flagrant" and had planned to deal with Prosecutor Sean Cronin and his boss, Narcotics Section Chief Karen Gilbert, in a written order.
But Cronin and Gilbert opted to take their punishment in their own hands if you believe Acosta, who probably had a little something to do with the decision.
Gilbert stepped down from her post and Cronin asked to be transferred from the criminal division, according to court records.
Hard to believe the two would give up after showing so much zeal in trying to convict Dr. Ali Shaygan, was acquitted of all 141 counts of writing illegal prescriptions.
The pair arranged for two witnesses to secretly tape record telephone calls with defense attorney David Markus and his investigator. They were ratted out by one of the witnesses on the stand, which prompted an investigation. Acosta said he knew nothing of the plan.

The Russian president said that the delivery of the weapons will begin immediately after facilities for their storage are prepared
The deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus will begin as soon as adaptation work at the relevant storage facilities is completed, around the first week of July, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart on Friday.
“Everything is going according to plan,” Putin told President Alexander Lukashenko, adding that on July 7-8 “the preparation of the relevant facilities will be completed and we will immediately begin measures related to the deployment of the relevant types of weapons on your territory.”
Putin previously stated that he would discuss pressing security issues with Lukashenko “face to face” on Friday during an informal meeting in Sochi, part of which will be open to the press.
The president noted that “in general, the situation is stable, I would even go as far as to say that it is good. We are confidently cooperating in this sphere.”
Before concluding the open portion of the talks, Putin told Lukashenko that “there is always something to talk about. And that’s what we’ll do today.”
In late March, Putin announced that Russia would place its tactical weapons in Belarus in response to the UK’s decision to provide Kiev with depleted uranium munitions. The US and UK have insisted that uranium shells were “a commonplace munition” that “has been in use for decades.” Lukashenko, meanwhile, has repeatedly raised the issue of threats posed to his nation by nuclear arms deployed by the US in EU countries.

Gwinnett police officer one of 4 arrested in child sexual exploitation case
A Gwinnett County police officer was one of four people arrested on child sexual exploitation charges after a GBI investigation in Butts County.
Investigators said they executed numerous search warrants in Butts County in May, which led to the discovery that Heather Clark was producing and distributing child sexual abuse materials.
Agents said Clark, with the assistance of Christopher Taylor and Breonna Jones, traveled to another state to avoid arrest and conceal evidence of the crime.
Jones had worked for the Gwinnett County Police Department since 2017. Jones was arrested on May 23 and subsequently fired from the police department.
Taylor and Clark were arrested on May 26 in Horry County, South Carolina. April Burns was also arrested in relation to the case, though it’s unclear when.
Clark, 29, was charged with three counts of distributing child pornography and one count of production of child pornography
Jones, 30, was charged with hindering apprehension of a criminal and child molestation. Taylor, 31, has been charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal and obstruction.
Burns, 52, was charged with false statements and writings and party to the crime of production of child pornography.
According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Jones served in the military from 2021 to 2023 and then returned to the police department this year.
The Internal Affairs Unit took possession of Jones’s firearm, badge, patrol car, uniform, ballistic vest, police computer, and all other county-issued police equipment.

The Pentagon has confirmed it is buying SpaceX’s Starlink broadband services to provide communications in Ukraine.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been supplying Ukraine with Starlink terminals since the Russian invasion of the country in 2022, providing vital communications after the destruction of infrastructure within the country.
However, SpaceX stated in September 2022 that it could not continue funding the Starlink service for Ukraine and had asked the Pentagon to step in and cover costs. A deal is now in place to provide the vital communications services.
"Satellite communications constitute a vital layer in Ukraine's overall communications network and the department contracts with Starlink for services of this type," Ars Technica reported, citing a June 1 Department of Defense statement.
"We continue to work with a range of global partners to ensure Ukraine has the satellite and communication capabilities they need," the statement continued.
The Pentagon did not reveal details of the contracts, citing operational security concerns.
SpaceX expressed concerns earlier this year over the use of Starlink by the Ukraine military for offensive means. Company President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell stated that the service was "never, never meant to be weaponized,"
SpaceX revealed in December that it is developing a partner project called Starshield. The service is designed for use by government agencies, particularly those in the national security sector.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Against the backdrop of newly painted walls and state-of-the-art collaboration tools, Space Systems Command (SSC) cut the ribbon on its newly established Commercial Space Marketplace for Innovation and Collaboration (COSMIC) in Chantilly, Virginia on Tuesday, June 6.
COSMIC is a partnership between SSC and Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC) to facilitate SSC collaboration with commercial industry, drive synergies with government agency partners, and deliver capabilities to the warfighter with greater speed and cost efficiency.
Attended by representatives from government, military, commercial and academic organizations, the ribbon-cutting ceremony placed emphasis on emerging threats in space and the key role that commercial partnerships will play as SSC pivots away from bespoke development to off-the-shelf acquisition of technologies, services, and products.
“Everything here today is about partnerships,” said U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. Michael Guetlein, SSC, commander. “Whether you are in government, a civilian, an ally, or a commercial partner, we’re all on the adversaries’ threat list. We’re all operating in the exact same environment, subject to the exact same physics, trying to vie for the exact same spectrum allocation. We are all fighting the same fight.”
Citing a thriving commercial space industry and exponential advances in adjacent fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cyber security, Guetlein said there are many areas in which commercial partnerships can fill warfighter capability gaps to quickly and cost effectively counter emerging threats and maintain U.S. freedom to operate in space.
In opening remarks, USSF Maj. Gen. Steve Whitney, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration, military deputy, said that strengthening the relationship between the Space Force and commercial industry is a key component of Hon. Frank Calvelli’s nine steps toward a more resilient space environment.
“As we transition from building big, highly capable, but vulnerable, satellites to smaller proliferated resilient systems, institutions like COSMIC are more important than ever,” Whitney said.
COSMIC was created in cooperation with the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Air Force Office of Scientific Research. U.S. Air Force Col. Janelle T. H. Jackson, AFRL Office of Scientific Research, acting director, addressed the ribbon-cutting audience with a call for urgency of action.
“We are at a pivotal moment in time where the United States is faced with growing strategic military competition,” Jackson said. “Our competitors and adversaries are rapidly moving to challenge and surpass the U.S. science and technology advantage and gain superiority in the air and space domains. Taking an integrative approach by partnering with industry and academia are one of many ways we can lead the challenge. “
In addition to 10,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space and commercial outreach services, the COSMIC collaboration includes data analytics and operational analysis, access to market research, and technology transfer and transition advisement provided by VT-ARC, a non-profit corporation affiliated with Virginia Tech.
Noting that innovation is a team sport, John Forte, VT-ARC’s CEO and president said that COSMIC will “enable partnerships of like-minded organizations across government, industry, and academia that can work together to accelerate technology.”
COSMIC is the latest initiative coming out of SSC’s newly rebranded and expanded Commercial Space Office (COMSO), which is focused on facilitating commercial technology and service transfer at the speed of need to enable “fight tonight” capabilities.
“The physical space and supporting services provided through COSMIC provide a place and means for us all to get together and best collaborate on commercial space capabilities, warfighter requirements, and how to best deliver those capabilities,” said USSF Col. Rich Kniseley, Senior Materiel Leader in charge of COMSO.
Already invested in commercial SATCOM and SDA services, COMSO is currently working through COSMIC and SSC’s Front Door for rapid scale-up of commercial tactical surveillance, reconnaissance, and tracking services as well as other off-the-shelf capabilities that can be leveraged to scale with speed and cost efficiency.

Ukrainian forces havelost up to 1,240 troops and 39 tanks during one 24-hour period, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported in its latest daily update on Friday. This adds to the heavy toll moscow claims Kiev suffered during a week when it is believed to have launched a long-expected counteroffensive against Russia.
The Ministry added that30 infantry fighting vehicles, 38 armored vehicles, as well as a dozen pieces of artillery and other military hardware, some of it provided by Kiev’s Western sponsors, were also destroyed.
Two Ukrainian military jets, two UK-provided Storm Shadow cruise missiles, and 13 droneswere intercepted and shut down during one day, the report added.
Russian and Western media have concluded that Ukraine has launched a major push against its opponent this week, trying to capitalize on the trove of weapons supplied by the US and its allies. Ukrainian officials have, nonetheless, offered conflicting reports on whether the operation has started.
Supporters of the country expressed hope that it could score significant territorial gains using Western-produced main battle tanks, which it didn’t have previously. The Russian military reported repelling a series of Ukrainian attacks over the week and said Kiev was paying a heavy price for probing the Russian defenses in various parts of the frontline.
Western nations have pledged to support Kiev for as long as it takes to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia. But media reports indicate that the scale of future military assistance would depend on whether Ukrainian troops manage to deliver battlefield successes. The White House is “anxiously watching” the action, since the reputation of President Joe Biden is at stake in it, Politico said of the Ukrainian operation.

Scientists document how space travel messes with the human brain
WASHINGTON, June 8 (Reuters) - Space can be an unfriendly place for the human body, with microgravity conditions and other factors tampering with our physiology, from head to toe - head, of course, being a primary concern.
A new NASA-funded study provides a deeper understanding of the issue. Researchers said on Thursday that astronauts who traveled on the International Space Station (ISS) or NASA space shuttles on missions lasting at least six months experienced significant expansion of the cerebral ventricles - spaces in the middle of the brain containing cerebrospinal fluid.
This colorless and watery fluid flows in and around the brain and spinal cord. It cushions the brain to help protect against sudden impact and removes waste products.
Based on brain scans of 30 astronauts, the researchers found that it took three years for the ventricles to fully recover after such journeys, suggesting that an interval of at least that duration would be advisable between longer space missions.
"If the ventricles don't have sufficient time to recover between back-to-back missions, this may impact the brain's ability to cope with fluid shifts in microgravity. For example, if the ventricles are already enlarged from a previous mission, they may be less compliant and/or have less space to expand and accommodate fluid shifts during the next mission," said University of Florida neuroscientist Heather McGregor, lead author of the study published in the journal Scientific Reports.
Age-related ventricular enlargement - caused not by microgravity but by brain atrophy - can be associated with cognitive decline.
"The impact of ventricular expansion in space travelers is not currently known. More long-term health follow-up is needed. This ventricular expansion likely compresses the surrounding brain tissue," University of Florida applied physiology and kinesiology professor and study senior author Rachael Seidler said.
The absence of Earth's gravity modifies the brain.
"This seems to be a mechanical effect," Seidler said. "On Earth, our vascular systems have valves that prevent all of our fluids from pooling at our feet due to gravity. In microgravity, the opposite occurs - fluids shift toward the head. This headward fluid shift likely results in ventricular expansion, and the brain sits higher within the skull."
The study involved 23 male and seven female astronauts - average age around 47 - from the U.S., Canadian and European space agencies. Eight traveled on space shuttle missions of about two weeks. Eighteen were on ISS missions of about six months and four on ISS missions of about a year.
Little to no ventricular volume change occurred in astronauts after short missions. Enlargement occurred in astronauts after missions of six months or longer, though there was no difference in those who flew for six months compared to those who did so for a year.
"This suggests that the majority of ventricle enlargement happens during the first six months in space, then begins to taper off around the one-year mark," McGregor said.
The fact that enlargement did not worsen after six months could be good news for future Mars missions on which astronauts may spend two years in microgravity during the journey.
"This preliminary finding is promising for astronaut brain health during long-duration missions, but it's still important that we examine MRI data from a larger group of astronauts and following even longer missions," McGregor said.
The absence of enlargement following short flights was good news for people who may consider short space tourism jaunts, Seidler added, as that industry develops.
Microgravity conditions also cause other physiological effects due to the reduced physical load on the human body. These include bone and muscle atrophy, cardiovascular changes, issues with the balance system in the inner ear and a syndrome involving the eyes. Elevated cancer risk from the greater exposure to solar radiation that astronauts may encounter the further they travel from Earth is another concern.
