How many people are equipped to survive any length of time (30-60 days) without access to power, heat, water or sewage disposal? Probably less than 1 percent of city dwellers.

Then we have people who are dependent on medication. (diabetics, heart patients, kidney dialysis, etc) How many people have several months of stored medication to last until supply chains come back?

Between starving, medical deaths, looters/raiders and feral diversity, expect population to decrease by 20-50% in 60 days. That's without even ONE death from blast or radiation.

Rural people will not take kindly to large numbers of city refugees fleeing to the small towns and farms.
