I have no idea about anime culture or any of that, but I did take a look at that "Internet Is Dead" thread out of curiosity. I don't know how to respond in that site, but I'll say this: Big Tech platforms and the adoption of HTML5 killed the real internet. Ever since then the censorship and banning began, the political division grew more and more, people became ostracized from certain online communities and the internet overall got a lot more like a booming town does: corporate. Now 80-some percent of all online users use about a dozen most-popular Big Tech services these days. In other words Google, Facebook, Instragram, Tick Tock, Snap Chat, Netflix, et al swallowed the normal user base. The internet was once like millions of small friendly towns. Like dummies, the masses decided to move to the big cities over the years. Those shithole cities are the Big Tech platforms of today.

Ironically the internet was being built and developed back in the late 1960s but it was the DoD's ARPANET infrastructure. Only mil/gov originally. Eventually they decided to release it to the banking system and universities, then into corporate and public domains. My guess is they wanted to experiment how average people would use it, but it was also designed to eventually spy on and control people in the future as they kept advancing it with more and more surveillance systems and monopolized it with govt-subsidized Big Tech companies. If everyone ditched their iPhones overnight and started using Tor and VPNs I bet the very next day we would see Congress passing legislation to ban the public internet.

literally most of this websites population is better off not having children because
