5 seconds or less, two swings with a batting ram!
Takes about 5 to 10 swings if you have a katy bar or floor lock installed! About 20 seconds!
If you have 2 deadbolts w/ long strike plates re-enforced with long stainless steal screws, a katy bar and a floor lock, with re-enforced hinges THEN it may take a couple of minutes to break down that exterior door! JUST ENOUGH TIME YOU REALLY NEED FOR SUCCESSFUL SELF-DEFENSE….. IF YOU PLAN IT RIGHT.

If you have any glass patio doors, replace them ASAP! Knock them out and install a new wall in it's place! Not hard to do, all you need to do that is available at any local hardware store! Screws & bits, lumber, drywall and home exterior whatever may match the outside of the, maybe some R-16 for insulation from weather.

TRUTH: at my old home I had a full blown BARRICADE going….. I'm talking a SHTF extravaganza! The "katy bar" itself was thick galvanized steel salvaged from used warehouse shelving! You know how I installed it as a barricade? I got 1" wood bore bits, drilled through double 2x4s from the door jamb and the studs in the wall which I also re-enforced with double 2x4s! So 4 1" bore holes all the way through the re-enforced studs! Then I took 4 1"x10" bolts with big washers and nuts and mounted them through the holes! All leveled correctly. Then I measured/matched and bored 1" holes into the galvanized steel beam using heavy duty metal pilot bits! I then could attach the galvanized steel beam to the bolts and screw the nuts on, or off, when need be. I also had 2 floor locks and multiple deadbolts re-enforced into the door jambs with long strike plates and stainless steel screws! I then re-enforced the whole door jamb with galvanized 1/4" thick sheet metal, along with the hinges!!!!
THAT would have nearly impossible to defeat unless you used C4 to blast that shit out!
I now have a better idea which I cannot disclose, but trust me, it's tin foil to the core!
