Yes, actually the US has an absolutely enormous welfare state. Not only a corporate welfare state, which some rightfully complain about but there is tons of welfare programs in the US. From low income housing programs, to food stamps, to unemployment benefits, to child care subsidies, medicaid, etc. And recent stimulus checks included. Bailouts for banks, corporations and citizens. Also, forgot to note, I make my own burritos and they are, by far, the best! I got a quarter cow worth of hamburger meat in one of my box freezers (divided up by pound). Easy to make. Cook the beef with garlic and onions, add some spices like salt, cilantro, parsley and red pepper (or some Slap 'Ya Mamma from a local store). Get the tortillas and heat them up with cheese on them. Add all the cooked meat to it, wrap it up with sour cream. Boooyah!

If you are qualified for welfare, in most cases, you will be able to receive it, even in conservative states. Although you have to register and jump through the bureaucracy to be qualified. Not sure where you live, that could itself be a problem, depends where you live. Just as a note, and no offense to your political association, but if you live in an insolvent state like Illinois, yah….they're cutting back because they have a pension crisis! California rather give it to all the illegals, so that State may give you a hard time based on race. Many conservative States are cutting back unemployment benefits because businesses are complaining no one is wanting to work anymore, and they need to hire people. Again, this all depends where you live, what policies are in place and how solvent (or insolvent) a particular State is. However tens of millions of Americans are still on welfare services. You are likely one who is pushing for UBI, which is not currently a welfare service (the closest thing to UBI is the covid stimulus checks). All this welfare won't be available forever anyway once the US Dollar loses reserve currency status and faces hyperinflation due to debt insolvency. That day is coming so you best do your best to be prepared. Have a problem with that? Take it up with the government and central banking system, not us! Americans were warned over and over and over for decades about this, I really hope you pay attention to these warnings before it's too late.

That does suck anon, and it's a shame. It's partially the lockdowns that have put people out of work and forced smaller businesses to close. I'm sure some businesses are discriminatory during employment vetting too. The only tips I can give would be to use forward secrecy when on social media (don't use real names, emails, etc) or erase those accounts if you have it out there online, try applying to other jobs besides big chains or learn a skill in the trade and work your way up that way…. there is currently a lack of drivers. Plenty of warehouses out there that need drivers, or need employees to stock the inventory, etc. Lawn care services are in high demand in suburban communities with older residents. A lot of times you just have to go out there and talk to regular folk, I've met a lot of people tell me how they need stuff done (like plumbing) and they literally are so bogged up with demand and understaffed, consumers will have to wait two months just to get a damned leak fixed up. Ask people with money "hey, what services really suck?" You may get your answer right there!
