If you so much had one piece of hair that fell out… or spit… or sweat… or a drop of blood (or any substance) from your body near that crime scene, it is going to be found and they'll run tests on it to trace it directly back to you (and all they need to have is a warrant to force check your DNA if they suspect it's you). There are many more ways to get evidence, I just hope you know they have a lot more ways to find criminals these days and when it comes to extremists, they'll have a hard-on to find and jail you so good luck.

That's a good point, but also consider the feds have a history of collecting DNA samples from doctors too to add into federal databases. Not sure if it was ever challenged in court, or if they can still use that as evidence, that controversy leaked a decade or so ago. Your tips sound pretty solid, just make sure whatever you use gets disposed of properly too, they may eventually stifle the case and it becomes cold via lack of solid evidence, but if they ever found and recovered anything damning in the future police are typically willing to bring back old murder cases. It has happened before.
