This was actually an enjoyable documentary with footage I've never seen before. It wasn't The Money Masters in scope but it did a good job of showing the atmosphere leading up to the 1929 stock market crash. I didn't realize the founder of GM wound up penniless.

Workingman's Death is a tremendous documentary. There's poverty and there's Ukranians crawling on their bellies deep underground in slits 24" high to scavenge enough coal to keep their families warm throughout the winter.

Glawogger is consistently a filmaker of great genius.

The Weather Underground is excellent. It shows how a legitimate left wing political movement that was growing in power and savvy in its opposition to the Vietnam War, the Students For A Democratic Society was hijacked at their 1969 convention in San Francisco by some very slick operators (probably CIA backed), lead by Bernadine Dohrn and Fred Ayers and how they deliberately drove it to ruin in short order by turning it into a criminal vehicle for street violence and then a bombing campaign that ended disastrously both for the bombers and their victims. It then details their lives in hiding. If you want to fan the flames of antisemitism, this is the movie for you. It's a textbook of everything you hate about your favorite kikenvermin.

This isn't so much a documentary as it is an illustrated lecture but that doesn't make it any the less worthwhile. Webster isn't someone I agree with these days, but he is an excellent historian.

If the US civil war and the enduring malevolence of the British Empire to American interests is interesting to you you'll find a lot of excellent material here.

The Pentagon's New Map is a long running lecture given by Thomas Barnett to US military officers at the various war colleges. Barnett is an academic acolyte of Admiral Cebrowski. Their thesis is that the world should be divided between manufacturing areas and resource providing areas. Resource areas must have their entire infrastructure collapsed. No bridges roads schools hospitals police or anything. The only communication lines will be for the extraction of the desired resources without any recourse to giving compensation for whatever people happen to have been living on those lands.

You might be suprised to know this given that Thomas Barnett delivers his genocidal thesis with the same panache as a stand up comedian cracking jokes.

I'm going to have to watch this on this afternoon. It promises to be an excellent document on the complete desertion of duty by NORAD on 911 allowing 4 airliners an hour and forty minutes to fly around the eastern seaboard to reach their targets. From the title it promises to reveal all the military exercises that were being run that day, exercises that coincidentally acted out hijacked airliners crashing into New York Manhattan and the Pentagon.

Which puts the lie to Condi Rice's testimony before the 911 commission; "who could have ever imagined people hijacking planes and crashing them into buildings" said the acting Sec of State.

Once upon a time long ago, Alex Jones had an excellent radio/internet show and he actually made documentaries that were worth watching. Terrorstorm goes deep into several subjects but most important was the July 7 2005 terrorist bombing attack on London. It's well made and full of information that's worth knowing whatever flaws you want to accuse Alex of having.

Again a lecture, but it's a good one, that will give you an additional insight into Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket; private Pyle was not a unique case. Macnamara decided to fill the military ranks with low IQ morons that were ill equipped to even mop a floor. The results were disastrous. Private Pyle wouldn't shoot gunny and then commit suicide; he'd be put in Vietnam and posted as a sentry. When his own forces would approach him and give the password, he'd freak out and machine gun them all in a panic. Giving loaded weapons to low IQ idiots is never wise.

The Great War by the BBC was one of the very best things ever shown on TV. It appeared in 26 episodes and was scathing in its assessment of the conduct of the war by generals and politicians.

The narration by Sir Robert Redford and other great British Shakespearean actors is superb. I can't recommend it highly enough

Another superb unsurpassed documentary on the history of our civilization starting with the Dark Ages. Kenneth Clark is undisputably the greatest art historian in the English language. Together with Pedretti the italian they wrote the definitive catalogue of Leonardo's works in the Windsor Collection among other great accomplishments.

The BBC wished to have a spectacular introduction of color broadcasting to the British public in 1969 so they spent a lot of money on this project with David Attenborough directing and Sir Kenneth Clark narrating his own text.

It was greeted with immense acclaim and rejoicing by the general public at the time. At the very least it is the equivalent of a top quality first year university art history class, with excellent period music included. You really should watch all 13 episodes and preferably download it in superior quality from the torrents.

Wow I just discovered this; Sir Kenneth Clark also did this documentary; The Beginning, where he explores the dawn of civilization in Mesopotamia Assyria and Egypt.

I'm going to watch this tonight.

Now this is really a remarkable documentary of a piece of important history that has been deliberately ignored in the west. After Zhukov defeated the Germans in the west he didn't rest; he packed up the entire Soviet army on rail cars and in one month sent them to the Manchukuo front with Japan. This was not a trivial move. Strategically Manchukuo was far more important to the Japanese warlords than the home islands of Japan themselves. "Whoever controls Manchuria, rules the world" said Captain Mahan in the age of coal. Manchuria has the richest coal fields in the world. The overwhelming bulk of the Japanese army was dug into the borders of Manchuria which have three fronts. Two of the fronts are on dry plains the third faced on thick swamplands and was left largely undefended. The Russians dismantled their tanks and other heavy equipment and snuck them through the swamps on rafts; the Russians after all are born swamp rats of the Pripet marshes. This allowed them to totally surprise the Japanese on their right flank and the Russians conquered an area the size of Europe in about a month and a half of fighting.

You won't regret the time you spend on this one, guaranteed. And it starts out with the Treaty of Versailles if that is your interest.

Alot of arguments surround William Cooper. My biggest issue is that he makes claims based on "documents he saw" during his stint in Naval Intelligence.

All in all he correctly predicted 9/11 back in July of 2001, and was taken out on the 5th of November (curiously) of that same year.

Aside from The Protocols (with his gay disclaimer), 'Behold a Pale Horse' is worthless.

Michael Collins Piper was far more important a political and historical thinker than Cooper or Jones; I particularly admire his lecture on The Judas Goats.

His thesis was that McCarthyism wasn't anti communist, rather it was a purge of Stalinist infiltrators by Trotskyite jews. Trotskyism is American born communism that is using America to take over the world. This explains the prominent role of the sly homosexual semite Roy Cohn who controlled the stupid drunk Joe McCarthy to effect this purge.

I like that this talk is also led by the late great Texe Marrs. I miss his intelligence and courage.
