The government is trying to force Australians to download a literal botnet app before allowing them to go back to their normal lives.
It is apparently designed to monitor and report people who come into contact with each other via bluetooth.
Everywhere we looked it raised massive red flags
>data held by Google in US legal jurisdiction
>encrypted data stored with keys
>makes devices persistently venerable to hacks through bluetooth
>program initially run by glowniggers
>code not released
>dozens of shills and dozens of government TV broadcasts
The app will no doubt have the inherent ability to track devices that do not have the app installed, and could easily track geographic movements of users by GPS, logging wifi hotspots and triangulation
Now the government is threatening that it won't lift lockdown measures unless 40% of the population download the app.
Could it get any worse?

I really only turn bluetooth on when I need it for me speaker. I'm not downloading their pleb app tho lads. I like the lockdown and seeing boomers have trouble breathing with their masks on.

A local hero already started a hoax by mass text impersonating the government, implying the app was tracking user movement by GPS

One of my greatest fears is that the government simply cannot keep the data they gather secure against foreign hackers, Chinese hackers have repeatedly been accused of breaking into some of our most secure supercomputers- and personally I'm not confident our secret infrastructure is any more secure

And Bluetooth is a security venerability by itself, with serious new breaches being found as recently as last year.

Go back to flip phone or pager. Problem solved. Or turn your phone off and keep it somewhere (not on your person; make it a landline’) until you need it. What are they going to do? Force you to carry a smartphone?

Yeah well it seems to me that this is nothing other than a provocation against people by the government. This would generate less anxiety if they didn’t do it right now…I doubt that people would even notice or think about it. But they are choosing to do it now to trigger people into revolution (after all the pressure that they have been under already).

Of course individuals can simply "unplug" - but increasingly key services are moving online to a space that simply can't be secured, to the point where large cash payment are being banned.
This is a systematic threat, protecting yourself is not enough if the rest of the community is venerable.

These are unprecedented times, there was huge backlash within recent memory to a government attempt to centralize medical data on an online server- now 4 million Australians apparently are running a botnet as we speak.
First surveillance sharing with allied countries, then data retention, then our CIA started extensive internal surveillance.
Currently they are talking about using drones in public places that have facial recognition and monitor heart rates.
I am deeply concerned the Australia is becoming a proving ground for technology which will subsequently be rolled out overseas- and we desperately need international support to counter the persistent influence of US tech companies and elements of the US state which are pushing this.

What do you think would happen if you fought this? I was going to tell you to simply shoot the drones down and then I remembered that in order to facilitate a chinese takeover your government seized your guns and disarmed you.
Have you considered that now that you are disarmed you may just have to go with the agenda?

A public campaign for civil liberties would have less success than in the US- our rights are not legally enshrined on a constitutional level and our states are far less independent.
Recently several illegal raids have been conducted against journalists and activists; and this has sent a chilling effect though the MSM. Australia (and NZ) being a small country there are few "alternative news" sources.
When we attempt to move online we get shoa'd- either by the state, through pressure on ISP's and hosts, universities, you name it.
Currently employers are forcing employees to download the app; previously they were demanding peoples personal Facebook passwords.
Individually nobody can stand against systematic oppression.
People can plaster signs around at night, throw stones, commit vandalism- it goes nowhere.
Every year there are new imminent threats like ISIS, the far right, corona virus; these threats seem to magically dissipate- But abuse of institutional power steadily grows.

And…
I mean, how much did you laugh when Walter Lübcke was murdered?
There just aren’t that many people who are doing this to your nation. Are you looking for permission to take things into your own hands? Who am I to give that to you or validate your desires for freedom if you won’t reach out and take it yourselves?

What can we do, throw stones, commit petty vandalism?
Individuals who turn to extremism can act as lighting rods- but there is no benefit if a broader bloc is unwilling to make a move.
Australians have demonstrated consistently that they are very politically engaged- but simply won't act.
Ultimately extremism simply divides "friendly" political groups and marginalizes movements as a whole- and we shouldn't support it.
In the US multitudes of heavily armed men are marching on the street and discovering the same thing, they can't make the leap to functional authority.
Individuals are all disposable, media figures, politicians, direct actors- the real battle is moving the groups of people with institutional power; like teachers, journalists, army officers, bureaucrats etc.
The power lies in taking the middle

Wow you are going to lose (indeed you have already lost) if those are your ‘go to’ options for revolution. Are you sandniggers or White men?
Now I see why a previous anon said that the only purpose for /pnd/ was deradicalization programming.

Some are revolutionaries; others are reformists.
I have lived long enough to see many "revolutions" fail to materialize, crushed under the boot heel of an administration or fall into internal disarray at the first gain.
Revolutions and stone throwing are for communists and degenerates- real power has always come through the system.
Those who fought to gain the system became the most powerful men in the world; those who fought against the system at best won a pile of rubble.

We will do it right this time. It is difficult to resurrect a (((system))) when it no longer exists.
It has been too long since there was a full eugenic purge of humanity. It is old, sick and weak.

Some of the greatest minds on the internet used to post here, yet still we can't come up with a solution to the shit we are in.
The biggest problem is apathy, as long as cunts have a warm meal in their belly and can take a good shit afterwards they just don't care.

https://youtu.be/F7kSmFaUGEg the first thing I would suggest is that those of you who think there is a problem should aquaint yourselves with the revolutionary chatichism. The guy was a commie anarchist but he had some good ideas. This issue will likely come down to your willingness to use any means at your disposal to remove kebab and kike. Fall like heavy drops of rain you heralds of the lightning, and sucumb as heralds . There is nothing contemptible about making danger your calling.
