Kamala was a TERRIBLE candidate. Literally a soulless tool that was only around to get extra female and PoC votes in 2020.
Once it became apparent Biden couldn't win due to his mental decline the Dems were scrambling. Firstly, they needed to convince Biden to step down since they had no real authority over him. Second, they needed a candidate that they thought could win in a quick turnaround.
Annointing a candidate was a risky move in general and a split delegation wasn't really an option.
Thus they decided the only real option was hoping their vagina haver would be able to get enough women to the polls for them to cover up them rigging yet another election.
Problem was she has no soul, so they literally could not let Kamala make any appearances that weren't 100% under their control or the public would realize her true form as a husk.
This lack of her being able to withstand the pressures of the Al Smith dinner
completely sealed the fate of her campaign.
Yes, some of the failure was the contemporary issues. But the main failure was that nobody gives a shit about some humonculus they throw some earrings on and stamp on the ballot.

Every aspect of her and her campaign feel specifically chosen to check a series of demographic benchmarks so that the DNC can appear "progressive" while in reality they're playing it as safe as possible. Voters don't want 4 more years of Biden except this time it's a woman; they want a new direction, and frankly all the Democratic Party was willing to offer was "Someone who isn't Trump". That's it. That's really the only non-ideological draw they could come up with to try and pull undecided voters.
This but I would also add. No primary and no clear policy. Trump had rallies every week, videos everyday and posts every night. Campaign was dead from the start and had a very narrow chance of a win but DNC is so corrupt that the kept shifting the campaign to essentially a nothing campaign

Contrast her with Trump, who got shot and stood back up, constantly did iconic things like the McDonald's photoshoot, and actually promised to improve living standards for the average American by addressing issues like mass immigration, and it's no contest.
