Virus fears, or fear of inevitable Death Boom?
The "Baby Boom" began ~1946, with an ~25% rise in birth rates.
The average life span is ~72-78 years (men/women), with an average of 75 yrs between those two.
1946 + 75 = 2021.
Thus we are now entering the inevitable Death Boom resulting from that Baby Boom.
At advanced ages, even common colds & flus can be deadly to those aged.
Most people are scared to death, of death.
Few have lived life to its fullest, when they have the chance.
Thus those Boomers, now in positions of authority & in charge of public policy, those desperately trying to do anything to eek out a few more years, are going thru extreme measures to try to protect themselves.
