Their early material (Murmurs and two after) were basically what Husker Du would become and had a bit of a Joy Division vibe. Not bad. I'm pretty right wing (only on a social level, left wing other wise) but Stipe needs to stop being such a whiner about Trump. It's not the end of the world. As we know it.

I like his music but as with most celebrities, yeah, he's pretty liberal (no surprise there). I wasn't surprised at all to see that he was one of many outspoken musicians who publicly supported that nigger cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal back in the 90's, although I was pretty disappointed to see David Byrne among them since I like him and the Talking Heads.
