It's not "complicated." It really is fucking all over the place. Here, let me explain some of the issues with the picture:
- Lots of arrows point to Anglicanism, but don't actually lead to the main thesis at the bottom.
- The previous point makes Lollards and John Knox completely random points in the image.
- There are serious layout issues. It has arrows that twist all the way around the entire picture, and arrows that encircle half the image.
- It's a genealogy tree, implying the arrows should flow one direction, instead they literally go EVERY direction, including back up.
- A lot of these seem like really, really minor associations (given the point he's trying to make) rather than important ones. Descartes, for instance, seems far too removed.
- He calls socialism and democracy as antonyms even though he spends the majority of his book arguing the exact fucking opposite.
- Look at any movie where the protagonist goes nuts and makes a pinboard association map with string and pushpins. This looks just like that, and makes about as much sense.
I know Liberty or Equality is /monarchy/'s guy on a lot of things, but on this one he is a legit paranoid-schizophrenic.
