So, i'm thinking about adopting Madotsuki from Yume Nikki as my daughteru. I have wanted to before but I was never sure if I had enough responsibility. I really love her, but i'm not sure if I know how to properly take care of her. So, to the waifuists who have daughterus/sonfus, what advise do you give me?

I'm mostly scared that i'll forget about her sometimes. I never really forget about Chocola, but shes my wife not my daughter, she doesn't need my constant attention 24/7, yknow? Does a daughteru (That's around 14 in head cannon) need my constant attention? I'm just not sure about a lot of things.

I've just really had this strong motherly feeling towards her, like I need to make her happy. I do think I could provide a good life and i've probably had this feeling for at least 6 months now.

Yeah. A kid at that age has a relative degree of independence/self-sufficiency. She doesn't need constant, 24/7 attention. Now, that isn't an excuse to neglect her either, but you don't need to be super worried about giving her attention all the time.
I'm actually considering adopting a certain character myself, but I'm holding off for different reasons. Namely because I want to wait until me and Ruby are a little older and I've finished my studies/become more self-sufficient before taking care of a child.

Madotsuki is a hikikomori that spends most of her time playing vidya or exploring her head. I'd imagine she's pretty low maintenance. Just check in on her to make sure she has access to food, a bathroom, and clean laundry and let her know you care. Offer to watch a movie or play something with her from time to time, even if she doesn't accept the offer. That's quite a bit for a shut in and does mean a lot.

That's what i've been doing, pretty much.
She typically just plays on her phone, sleeps, or plays video games.
She feels a lot better than she did before (because she has people who care about her now) so sometimes she even gets out of her room to hang out with us. Only into the living room and such, but it's a big step and i'm very proud of her!
