I miss halfchan. I'll use this thread to post pics and random stuff. Eventually I'll post some reload data I use.
Today I went to the range, tried 4 "ACT" brand Italian P220 mags (OEM P220 mags are also Italian made) and some gave me a double feed. I have 3 P220s so I'll test the mags in the other 2 I own at some point. And with FMJs or plated bullets instead of wax coated LRNs.

Here's another one. My boss gave me a bag of random 9mm ammo last week. I'm still not 100% sure on the origins of it, but I shot it all through my S&W 6906 (he doesn't want to shoot it). One dud, 1 that had a lot of sparks when it was fired but otherwise was OK and 30+ that fired but refused to go into battery.
Earlier today I shot 50 of my own reloads, 124gr w/ 4.4gr of Titegroup powder. 50/50 shot without issue. I did have a new Wolff spring in it so maybe it didn't like 115gr 9mm, but I didn’t weigh any rounds in the bag.
Good time though.

Double feed stoppages result from failure to extract. They normally indicate an extractor problem. The extractor could be improperly manufactured, or the pivot pin hole in the slide could be slightly off, causing incorrect spacing between the rear face of the extractor hook and the vertical face of the breech. Or it could be insufficient extractor tension. Or it could be a worn or damaged extractor hook. Magazines have nothing to do with it.

Titegroup in 9mm? Spicy! But these days I guess you can't be picky about what powder you use.

Fewer gays, fewer troons, but more Russian and Chinese shills, who are worse.
