I'm in the USA. I want to order an upper receiver from Bravo Company, and have it shipped to my grandmother's house. I'm just wondering if the mailman would make my grandmother sign any papers.

I live in an apartment, and I don't think it would be a good idea to have such a thing shipped somewhere where it would be more likely to be stolen. Not only that, but I always worry that the mailman will drop the package off at the wrong apartment, not be able to find my apartment, and hold onto the package at the post office, or something worse.

By the way, this will be my first AR-15. I'm planning on buying a lower receiver at my local gun store. Any advice would be appreciated. I guess I'd also need to order the upper along with a bolt carrier group and charging handle.

>Full AR Upper

There are so many misconceptions in your post. It's difficult to know where to begin.

edit: now that I see what I saw, you didn't say "full AUTO upper"

This shifts the stupid from you, partially to me.

But your picture shows an upper with no CH, so presumably no BCG either, which makes it not a full upper.

as to "signing papers" – what does BCM's shipping terms say about that?

When ordering, you have the option to add a charging handle and bolt carrier group. Is it standard to require signing papers when having an upper shipped to your home?

There are no standards. Some companies make you check a box waiving the need for a signature, some companies don't let you uncheck that, others don't have a way to require that should you want it.

Have you tried reading through BCM's FAQs or their shipping terms? Or written to them with that question?
