1bebac No.515408 [Last50 Posts]

Archive of previous thread- Anon's uncle provided a bunch of info, very well worth reviewing.

https://archive.fo/6A38N

There are three stories from Northern Nevada, two within rather close proximity of one another. I've done some digging and I think I've narrowed it down quite a bit.

Based on the description, we should be able to find a few abandoned mine shafts on the eastern side of the Ruby mountains.

>Per one UNR source, there should be two abandoned shafts in the vicinity of, both for tungsten.

>Cross-referencing that against their database for documents involving tungsten mines/claims in Elko county produced quite a few results.

>One definite tungsten mine location is by Battle Creek. The Battle Creek location is ~20 miles south of where we were looking, but it does have the crook in the road as described E Zed. The trees are there as described, but I can't see a structure or a giant rock. The topography isn't an exact match either.

>A website that tracks mining claims, places 4 potential entrances within a few hundred yards, but not at the particular location that E Zed indicated.

> There is also a second hook in the road on the other side, but it doesn't exactly match the description either.

If OP wasn't 100% accurate in his recollection, I would argue this would be a good place to start. The Northern location has proved much harder to locate, which will be addressed in the next post.

The Battle Creek location was easy enough to find, and may have some of these 'things' about, but it doesn't really match the location described in the OP.

>'thing' lives near and inhabit mine shafts, likely in a social group

>'things' can resist several full size .30 cal rounds

>'things' may either have a gland to excrete horrific smell or themselves smell god awful- either way humans seem to have an instinctual 'flight' response to it.

The Northern Location has proved difficult however. No website I have come across has geocodes for the location shown in the UNR map…but a few other sources definately confirm there should be an abandoned mine shaft close to the general area described in the OP.

That's all I have for now pertaining to Northern Nevada. Any assistance would be much appreciated. I think we are really close.

Danke!

After reviewing more source, I found a name.

>stormy night

This time, thediggings website had a geocode. Its right on top of the Battle Creek location. This definitely warrants some investigation and as will be shown in my next post, is the most likely location.

This same source however does not note a northern tungsten mine. It shows an 'anna d' mine that also had a biproduct of tungsten, but that location is at the extreme south of the mountain range. https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1976/0056/report.pdf

So I went one by one through the list of ruby valley and unknown.

>lead king mine (not even close 36.32°, -114.9789°)

>michigan mine (right on top of Battle Creek, 40.5088167, -115.3800506

>betty mine (could not locate, most sources show a 'betty o'neil; mine by battle mountain, not close at all

>Thiel mine (not not locate)

>hogie (40.51072, -115.38479- again right on top of Battle Creek)

>Good Luck mine (by matterhorn, not even close)

>Errington & Thiel (extreme southern tip of Ruby mountains)

>L. & C> mine (no results)

Now for the Northern Location called Robinson Creek Beryl.

The geocodes give a location but visually there is nothing linking it to the OP description, so I went to see if there was a plat map to help. The location per Minerals of Nevada, Issue 31 was Sec. 19, T33N, R60E.

https://books.google.com/books?id=flAhr0MbxM8C&pg=PA163&lpg=PA163&dq=robinson+creek+beryl+nevada&source=bl&ots=CsL2QfYPS9&sig=Y8WcCXEB6vukKqKNX-yVeh_MJwI&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjY47XppJnWAhVD8GMKHYpDCvgQ6AEIRDAI#v=onepage&q=robinson%20creek%20beryl%20nevada&f=false

That produced a map which is attached. The website is a bag of cocks and I can't seem to find a download link for the map image, but it does show a stream bed that goes directly through that section labeled 'dry channel'. This is confirmed by google images which showns a creek bed pretty close to the marker.

As a note, sections are usually 1sq mile, so thats really the are we are looking in if I've got this right.

Thanks m8. Nevada is basically a high desert. Hot days, cold nights. Nevada natives, especially the sort that hunt are well aware of this. Here is what has me concerned now that you mention it. I brought it up in the prior thread but I'll post it again now that its relevant.

>Jacob Beetler, 20, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2016 in the beautiful Ruby Mountains after getting lost while hiking and scouting for deer.

>The hiker left his residence at approximately 5 a.m. July 27 to hike the Ruby Dome area to scout for deer, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

> my son only took a day pack with some water and snacks for hiking for a day. He had a sweater and … he actually took a flashlight,” said Joe Beetler.

This is condradicted in another article wherein

>Additionally, she said [Laura Rogers] the family believes there is evidence showing he returned, between Friday night and Saturday before 6 a.m., to his vehicle for a larger, multi-day backpack with more supplies.

>Early reports indicate Jacob Beetler may not have died from a fall, but possibly hypothermia.

>After nearly three weeks of searching for Beetler, hunters came across his belongings Aug. 13.

>His body was recovered by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office High Altitude Rescue Team Aug. 16, near Birch Creek on the eastern side of the Ruby Mountains.

>“The belongings were found at the base of a cliff and his body was found further down the mountain from that base … it would be yards probably,” said Supp.

>Beetler’s body was recovered by the Washoe County heriff’s Office High Altitude Rescue Team, “which was brought in at the request of the Elko County Sheriff in consideration of the location and ruggedness of the terrain in which it was believed Beetler would be found,” said Supp.

>Beetler was found without his clothes on.

>While authorities are still waiting for Beetler’s cause of death from the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office, the undersheriff said, “it doesn’t appear there were broken bones … that would be indicative of actually falling off of the cliff.”

>“He was more perpendicular to the side,” said Supp, clarifying the earlier report stating Beetler was found below his things.

http://elkodaily.com/news/local/missing-hiker-may-have-died-of-hypothermia/article_02278caa-586a-5a08-b2bc-9d7ec85d4eae.html

Anon pointed out a couple things. First that its common for people suffering from hypothermia to get naked. Second, that the location of Birch Creek is pretty far from the proposed location. Both points are true, but both are missing something.

The first point is missing the fact that Jacob froze to death in August. The Ruby mountains, with the exception of the peeks really doesn't get below freezing in the summer. From a physiological standpoint, it would be hard to freeze to death if you are athletic and moving ~30 degrees. In other word he should have been able to descend from the peak to the highway without any real fear of hypothermia, just by staying moving. Second his body was recovered from the base of a cliff, his clothing and backpack near the top. Finally it was originally reported that he died from falling, which to me implies his body was covered in bruises. Later the cause of death was revised to hypothermia.

TL;DR

>experienced native goes missing in his backyard

>seen multiple times before nightfall, 3-5 miles from his body

>final route was the direct opposite of the direction he had taken for the last few days and was way off the trail

And the kicker

>He said [Joe Beetler] hunters found Jacob Beetler’s pack, which included a copy of the New Testament, in an unexpected place because a deer had gotten to it.

After reviewing lots of other missing 411 cases, this seems like one to pay attention to, mainly because of the location of the body which is implied to be both nearly impossible, and

The impression I get is this kid literally stripped naked, and then jumped off the side of a cliff. Even with hypothermia, this is really odd. I don't want to detract from digging on the northern location, but this kids death and Battle Creek in general are fishy. Next thing I'll do is try and figure out why none of those mines by Battle Creek are still active.

But just base don your green text that boy didn't die from hypothermia. You're 100% on the august temps http://www.usclimatedata.com/climate/elko/nevada/united-states/usnv0024

a low of 60 degrees is definitely not super cold weather and its not a the kind of conditions that if you go to sleep in and then wake up hypothermic and get all confused undress and jump off a cliff.

I'd also like to know that cliff height its obviously not tall enough for the fall to have killed him if the cops think it was hypothermia over jumping off a cliff.

>just by staying moving

Not really, he starts feeling hypothermia and starts stripping down. Starts with something like just their hat, then get colder and the symptoms starts becoming more obvious, then more articles of clothing start coming off. So now temperatures that normally wouldn't kill you with his original clothing and moving does because you've stripped yourself because you feel hot because of the hypothermia, causing hypothermia to get you even easier. Then you have to take in consideration the other symptoms of hypothermia, confusion and clumsiness comes to mind. The idea off someone stripping naked and, not so much jumping off the cliff, but staggering and falling off the cliff? It's very much possible.

I think you're trying to add spoops that aren't there.

Thats bullshit. because every time I've gone out and conditions changed that I didn't take into account specifically the weather getting colder and wet than I had thought it would. being asleep in both of those situations I woke up because I started shivering (because thats a basic uncontrollable reaction) and either started a fire or stayed up moving all night to stay warm. You have to get to moderate or sever hypothermia before you start stripping off your clothing. Your body turns on survival mode way before that. And that point you change up your behavior to accommodate the change in environment. You don't just sit there and get progressively cold until you dying. moderate hypothermia doesn't just creep up on you first thing. You have to go through a lot of stuff before you reach that point which should be obvious at his camp site. Which is why I'd like to see the police report to see if those things are present at the camp site.

If you're moving around and sweating you could trick yourself to the point that you're not actually cold, because sweating is usually associated with heat.

The report says he died of hypothermia, the strange behaviors he might've done is easily explained by hypothermia, therefore it's very safe to assume HYPOTHERMIA.

He's not you and you're not him, so to use your anecdote and say that applies to everyone is just not an argument. Sure what I described doesn't happen to everyone, but it has happened to some people, and it could've happened to this kid. It's makes more sense that it was a badger spoop that killed him and stripped him naked and just left him there.

Again this story would make 100% sense in the winter, but it was in the middle of the summer, with teams of dogs within 100 feet of a rotting body.

Consider also, wouldn't you aggressively search the area surrounding his supplies in an every enlarging circle looking for tracks or other clues, or the body itself? How did it take them 4 days to search 100 square feet around his clothes?

It's anecdotal evidence. I'm not saying it's invalid evidence, I'm saying it's not an argument to disprove that the strange behaviors of a kid who died of hypothermia was caused by hypothermia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothermia

"Efforts to increase body temperature involve shivering, increased voluntary activity"

is what happens BEFORE mild hypothermia. Which is what I was exemplifying with my story. That not wanting to die to the cold is a normal human response, not anecdotal evidence and that there should be evidence of this in the report. Which is my point no one just sits in their sleeping bag sits up starts undressing and jumps off a cliff. My point was not that that some how proves badger man showed up with a hard on a decide it was rape and homicide time.

That'd be assuming he was sleeping before experiencing hypothermia, which is something you don't know. You're injecting your own experiences with mild hypothermia in a case where someone died of hypothermia. Sure if you look at it like that, it's silly to think that he stripped from mild hypothermia and died. What's more likely however is he was hiking and sweating, so he started stripping clothing because of the sweat. He's starts going into even worse hypothermia and starts become disorientated, confused, strips naked and dies.

then please enlighten me when he died of hypothermia hiking around in 90 degree weather in a desert where your sweat actually evaporates? the only time the temperature actually gets low is at night and at that point its hovering around 50 degrees. Not saying hypothermia can't happen at 50 degrees. Just saying hypothermia isn't going to happen at least until night and no ones hiking around once the sun goes down especially on difficult terrain.

and would also resolve any hypothermia symptoms at ~30 degrees Fahrenheit. Its nearly an impossible feat to start with.

He moved from the left circle to the right circle in ~8 hours.

This is why his dad notes that the experts did not expect him to end up there, it makes absolutely no sense, but is far greater a distance than most people could or would travel while hypothermic.

He was hiking in the mountains not the desert. Averages for Elko country are indeed 90 degrees. Elevation changes temperature by 3.57 degrees F per 1000 feet gained. Ruby Mountains at its peak is 11k feet, which is 50 degrees at the peak on an average day in August. Of course he wasn't at the top of the mountain, but neither was in in the desert. The average high the day he might've went missing was 100 degrees, the average low was 51. He was out scouting for deer, so it's safe to assume that he went out pretty early in the morning, during the cooler times.

I've never been in a situation where I've been in such a bad state of hypothermia where I've started becoming extremely confused and disorientated, but that could give you the answer. As to the pictures provided, how high in elevation is that?

I'm not entirely sure of the peak altitude, but I do know the distance between the peak and the general area where his body was found is in excess of 4 miles (hiking that distance probably would have been double). I also don't know exactly where the kids body was found which makes it kinda difficult to determine the total decent and distance. However its fair to assume it was 3-5k foot decent and that he made this trek in less than 8 hours before succumbing to hypothermia.

I can't see a path from the peak to where his body was recovered that wouldn't have included a couple severe uphill climbs either. I've done my share of forced ruck marches, at ranger standard time and weight, over moderately hilly terrain. I just don't see how this kid could have covered that distance (6-12 miels) in the middle of the night, and then died of hypothermia. Just doesn't make any sense.

I posted this in the other thread, reposting. Thank your uncle for me, whether he answers or not. He has already confirmed a few suspicions I had.

I have a few questions, if your uncle is still there.

First, some background:

>land is in nw WA

>dad bought it in the 90s from the family of the original homesteaders (who got here 120-150 years ago, until then it was uninhabited.

>nearest indians would be the lummi

>right next to woods, part of property still wetlands

>less than 30 minutes on foot (walking gently) to uninterrupted dense forest stretching all the way into the cascades

>has become more developed recently, but still see deer, coyotes often. Mountain lions aren't unheard of. so it is by no means urban.

Now the problem:

I have only seen it once, when I was quite young. We'd had a bonfire, which was dying. About 20 yards away in the edge of the firelight, I saw a shadow, with nothing casting it. It was half crouching, and about 6 feet tall even then, so it could be up to 7 or 7.5 feet. sturdy build. It seemed hairy or furry. What I remember most was that it had either pointed ears or short, squat horns. No tail. Humanoid joint structure. Pointed fingers. It watched for a while after I saw it, then disappeared when I glanced away.

Since then I have only felt or heard things, as has my dad. It seems to have a perverse love of looking in through the windows.

>late at night

>watching tv/reading book

>huge windows in living room

>feel a deep sense of wrong, almost terror

>cover windows, feel better

This has happened to both of us

>one night, feel it again

>don't cover the windows

>feels worse

>suddenly look at window

>fucking eyes, reflective, staring just over sill

>nope, grab bowie

>gone

>cat is cowering under my chair

A few years ago, I felt this happening in my bedroom, like it was trying to get in, so following the advice of books on folklore (specifically regarding fairies) put up mountain ash twigs bound with red thread, iron pieces, and salt on my windows and door, as well as painting crosses using charcoal, from fir tree that was at least 120 years old.

It mostly stopped in my room.

Some nights it just feels evil outside, like you're being followed. You just don't go out on those nights.

My dad said the feelings's like that of the "jumbies/jambies/joombi" (don't know how to spell it) he heard of in New Orleans.

My question is, what is it? and, how do I make it fuck off?

My other questions are:

Is a Garand effective to fuck up a spook?

Is wrought iron better than steel for a cross?

Has your uncle heard of kushtakas (a local indian otter demon which shapeshifts into dead family and friends to convince you to go with it, eventually turning you into one) a skinwalker, or if not, what?

What lives at crater lake?

Does the symbol of thor's hammer offer any protection (considering thor's role as a troll fighter)?

Do blades that were used in an existential war have the same effects as guns (i.e. bayonets or a KABAR from world war 2?

If I ever suspected that someone I saw in the woods was hunting skinwalkers, how would I reassure them that I didn't want to eat them and wear their skin?

Sorry if the formatting is weird or I ramble. Writing it out has me a little bit on edge.

And he called me back.

>No matter what happens, try to be as calm as possible.

>From what you're describing I'd advice VERY STRONGLY against any attempts at direct confrontation. There are a few possibilities to what this could be, but the most likely is a demon.

>Demons are quite a bit more dangerous than cryptids, weapons used in an existential war have about as much effect as a bee sting, but, thankfully, they operate on some pretty stringent rules.

>In order to ascertain if it's a demon or not I need you to take a plastic cup, fill it with half vinegar half water and then put in a pinch of salt. Place it by your living room window. If after you've felt this presence again the salt is floating to the top, then you have a demon and you need a priest's intervention, either Catholic or Orthodox whichever of the two is more agreeable to your own beliefs.

>If the salt turns black, it may do this as you're preparing, you need to leave the house immediately, begging St. Joseph very loudly to see you safely through, your personal beliefs be damned. Do not return until you have a priest in tow. You are better off not knowing what that indicates.

>If neither happens then you've dodged a significant bullet. At that point all you really need to do is nail an iron wrought cross on the tree closest to where you saw the creature as a child (preferably during the hour of 3pm, but definitely while the sun's out). It won't pass that boundary and I'll make sure my friend in WA is aware of the situation.

<That it stopped is a good sign for it being a fae, thankfully.

>Some nights it just feels evil outside, like you're being followed. You just don't go out on those nights.

<Good.

>My dad said the feelings's like that of the "jumbies/jambies/joombi" (don't know how to spell it) he heard of in New Orleans.

<Jumbie or Jumbee, and those are easy to deal with, we'll come to that if the cross on the tree doesn't work.

>Is a Garand effective to fuck up a spook?

<If it saw WW2 yes, but it won't do shit if it's a demon.

>Is wrought iron better than steel for a cross?

<Yes.

>Has your uncle heard of kushtakas (a local indian otter demon which shapeshifts into dead family and friends to convince you to go with it, eventually turning you into one) a skinwalker, or if not, what?

<They're Imps. Don't worry about them, they're impotent unless you go with them.

>What lives at crater lake?

<A demon, we think.

>Does the symbol of thor's hammer offer any protection (considering thor's role as a troll fighter)?

<Not against what you're looking at.

>Do blades that were used in an existential war have the same effects as guns (i.e. bayonets or a KABAR from world war 2?

<Yes, I actually keep a KA-BAR on me when I hunt. A friend of mine in Florida even uses an old cavalry sabre.

>If I ever suspected that someone I saw in the woods was hunting skinwalkers, how would I reassure them that I didn't want to eat them and wear their skin?

<Don't worry about that, unless you make a habit of bathing in a deer's stomach acid, he'll be able to tell. That said, if he's hunting you'll never see him.

Will follow instructions and report back. For whatever reason, I think a land spirit of some sort is more likely than demon, as I only experience it on and directly around the property.

A few other things I remembered:

>Never felt presence during rain, wind, or falling snow

>Frogs and frog croaking drive off the presence temporarily

I also have seen apparitions of cats around the property, one, about bobcat size, long furred, pure white, very playful, I only ever see it out of the corner of my eye.

The other was a seemingly real reappearance of a cat who died near that spot about 10 years ago. It vanished while I watched it.

Also, how do I get a priest, if necessary?

I don't suppose we could talk Uncle Spookhunter into compiling a list of "Shit that's supposed to detect, ward against, repel, harm, or otherwise fuck with cryptids, fey, demons, spirits, et al", and more importantly, explanations as to how and why?

Because folklore, popular or otherwise, contains a massive fustercluck of different charms and rituals purported to have certain effects on certain 'things' in certain situations. Sometimes overlapping, sometimes contradictory, often, very specific.

And that's not before you get into a hundred years of conflation and misinterpretation. For example, "white ash" (the tree) becoming "white ashes" (from a campfire).

I'm not a skinwalker. What I meant was, if I were out on a primitive camping trip, and it had been a while since I set out, I would be smelly, shaggy, and dirty. If I see other people, particularly armed ones, I stalk up to near them, to ensure I'm not walking into someone's weed grow or poaching operation. I thought that that might cause me to resemble a skinwalker enough to get shot at by someone hunting them.

So in short I wouldn't worry about it, anon

O-okay, assuming you are not a "skinwalker"…

>What I meant was, if I were out on a primitive camping trip, and it had been a while since I set out, I would be smelly, shaggy, and dirty.

Your clothes won't automatically be in tatters if you went innawoods and stayed for at least 1 month. 2-3 months in you will be looking and smelling like a murderhobo and any hiker that you meet will be speed dialing "Nein-Wan-Wan" and running back to where they started. Worse thing that could happen to you is that you might "accidently" stumble upon Strelo/k/s and /k/ommandos innawoods, and seeing your murderhobo transformation would prompt them to unload on you with everything they have and making a tactical retreat.

TL:DR; Wear Gorka. Be protected. Be comfy. And do not look like a hybrid of a murderhobo/skinwalker.

I had a question for Uncle about salt. Does an entity need to be aware of the presence of the salt for it to have an effect on them? Would it be effective to just have salt in all your pockets to keep them away?

What if you made some kind of "portable salt ring" by making a belt that has salt in it?

Also, does it matter what kind of salt it is? Does regular cheap iodized table salt work, or would you need some legit sea salt? Is it just the concept of the salt that's doing the work, or is there a physical element as well?

What are some of those rules? Can a demon do as it pleases to whom it pleases (within the rules), or are there things people do that lead to getting possessed?

>You are better off not knowing what that indicates.

"You" as in just the anon facing it or people in general?

"Better off not knowing" as in the act of knowing about it is akin to speaking the cannibal spirit's name, or he'd freak out if he knew which contradicts:

How would they know necessarily? I mean, would it be easy to hide murder that way in Brazil? I know sometimes in America they hunt the animal in question and see if it has human remains to know for sure if it's in question. Bear in mind, this shit hole has a very VERY low culture of innawoods, people here hate that, in most states. Also the government in both federal and state level goes out of their way to forbid you to go in moat good innawoods places. But my state has plenty of good woods to go, the biggest problem is gas, you will spend a LOT on gas, researching places to go and, obviously, niggers. The man problem is niggers.

Amazon in the other hand is an entire new problem. Illegal wood companies, illegal mining companies, local tribes, reclusive tribes, drug plantation, wild life, plenty of disease. Going into the Amazon is not a day outdoors, is mostly SOF tryouts for the pleb.

Yours innawoods on the other hand are heaven, yes there is danger, yes it can have some niggers/crackheads, but they are gigantic, there is an vivid and bog culture of outdoor life, and people will go out of their way to help you in most cases. Your laws are also superior. The gear is superior and cheaper. The food is superior and cheaper.

Hey anon I need help. I live in a tightly packed suburb where used to be a forest and is now specked by very small and next to small natural reservations

My memory of the period is hazed and uncronologic since I was taking benzoadipines then. one more reason I think part of it might be just tactile hallucination

>Some five years ago our family decided to build a pool in our property

>It has some small trees or bushes and a mango tree

>I cut all the small trees/bushes to make way to the pool, including two growing at the same spot, same height

>Afternoon, stepdad comes with some food from the bakery

>I start eating the bread-sausage rolls

>It's rotten. Small white (fly?) maggots everywhere

>Shit. Don't allow myself to panic. Go outside, trash it.

>Force a puke quickly at the trash can. I can't. Whatever

>Proceed cutting trees (I don't remember if the twim bushes were before or after that, if it matters)

Some time passes, days, weeks or a couple months.

>Develop what I think is tactile hallucinations

>It's small maggots in my skin, entering and leaving my nose and ears. doesn't hurt but start to drive me crazy

>Have some nightmares with the recurring theme of a bigh white maggot that's fast and HARD to kill/maim

>In the first nighmare I try to kill it, but when I maim it the dream turns black, I'm trapped in my bed eyes closed

>An old male voice tries to mock my conversion (at heart but not through any initiation to this day) to norse-germanic paganism

>Wake up. Remember that in the eddas dwarves are said to have been made out of maggots in Ymir's flesh

>There's also a dissapointed presence in that backyard, most of the times a feminine one

More time passes, and like an year and a half later.

>The hallucinations slowly goes away the more I got in touch with reconstructing my religion and playing songs on friday for Freyja

>To this day I feel that when I play the maggots flee my skin sometimes even though I don't normally feel them around anymore

One more year

>build a bedroom in the back of the property, more or less next/atop where the mango tree was

>At this point I was already and finally completely out/getting out of (((benzos)))

>It apparently had to be removed because it was sick/pested/rotten

>There's banana "trees" by then and they multiply fast (to this day)

>That most of the times feminine presence is still there

>My female sister and the adopted sister claim they've seen her and were afraid of there (the front of my bedroom)

>With time she had developed an angry presence

>We finally plant a tangerine tree and the presence calms some I feel

>Plant some wall ivy and lemon balm and it calms some more

>As I suspected more vegetation = better neighbors

>However, some nights I still feel the other menacing beastly/male presence coming from or around the banana trees and it's getting common

Some more perhaps unrelated things

>Years and years ago in the same house I had a dream/out of body experiend where a beastly presence with sharp fingers stripped away through a layer of life energy that I though I was building around my being when I was a cristian

>Through the peaks of my depression and coincidentally in the period when the lady was angry (not strong now thankfully) spiders had an unnatural urge to climb on me

>The ones with long legs

>They'd come down and run towards me

>I'd sleep or get distracted on a chair to wake up to a daddy long-legs climbing my arm/leg several times

>Doesn't happen anymore but should help if related

What I need to know is:

Are the maggots (dwarf?), lady and menacing presence overlaping effects/entities or how many individuals? What should I do?

I'm sorry for the long request. I just can't find information specially on the maggot things.

Last time I was in Somerset Kentucky I saw as soon as I get there, within the length of a day or two as well, stacks of rocks. Kentucky rocks are pretty freaky, man, as well as these old abandoned and forgotten barns, rusty farm equipment, towns, buildings, and rusty everything.

This is a slightly retarded reply but… if Zed was so very intent on discovering anything about this, couldn't info be gathered from his father, as his father mysteriously implied he had specific knowledge of the area/spookywookystuff?

That said, is there an actual bro-op expedition taking place or was that a bunch of malarkey?

Side note: If the related stories are to also be believed, according to anon's radio interceptions it would sound like the local musketeer garrison couldn't handle these things with whatever gunz/equipment they have issued to them. Unless a lone sentry or a patrol of 1 or 2 guys got fuked, it would appear a few 18 year old virgins with shemaghs and hi point carbines wouldn't be a formidable force either. So I’ve com back to this thread with some info. I was watching Monsterquest and they were talking about Sasquatches in the Sierra Nevada. At one point they showed a creature called the Jarbidge, which is a man eater from Shoshone myths. The Shoshone inhabited Nevada too, and when I looked up the creature online I found that there were few results for the monster but most results were for a mostly abandoned mining town called Jarbidge in…ELKO COUNTY, Nevada, the same place EZed’s story is set. I can’t find the picture online anywhere, but on the show monsterquest they showed a native drawing of a Jarbidge. Since I can’t find it online and all my screenshots look like ass, go to 10:29 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjUsFIcbbrk

Looks awfully familiar, doesn’t it. Happy Halloween.

Some somewhat late but additional, hopefully helpful info:

>K9’s have extremely advanced tracking abilities, but they are not magic.

>Different breeds track in different styles (“air” sniff versus “ground” sniff) and sometimes sniff in different ways depending on what manner of track they’re currently doing (ie in a heavy odor vs no sign of odor).

>How long the dog(s) has been actively searching can make a huge difference as well.

>If they’re bored and done “playing,” they’re not tracking.

>Scent tracking can be completely negated or heavily affected by very simple circumstantial or weather condition.

>A dog searching a small room with a draft pushing air out of the room to a hallway will track into the hallway.

>It is up to the handler to know their dog’s behavior and apply human reasoning to the situation when such varying conditions exist.

>On a blind search for a missing person, it’s not as easy at it seems, even if the person is decaying and emitting a heavy odor.

Source: I’m a fucking handler

Also:

>Wikipedia all you want, human behavior is erratic, especially in stressful conditions.

>It could be spoop, or it could be not spoop, however it is plausible the hypothermia situation occurred.

>Another factor not mentioned by anyone is climatizing.. if his body was used to ~100 degrees conditions and now is in 50 or even low 60’s, he’s going to be a lot less apt to handle even those degrees in the wrong situation

> Adding sweat, and dozens of other factors that could affect his judgement, level of consciousness, etc, it’s not a complete rule-out that it went down that way

>In the course of my employment, I encountered an elderly man who had wandered out of a nursing home in winter time, walked around for approx 10 minutes, stripped all his clothing off, and died. It is apples to oranges in all aspects, but still a small anecdotal example of how (and how quickly) someone starts to feel like they're TOO warm as body temp drops.

Are there any spook audio DB's? I'm trying to narrow something down…something between a squirrel and hoot owl calls. This fugger spooped me a bit tonight as I went out to measure my target, it's 18x9 torso shape.

The taunt was coming from near a charred dead opossum I had set out, hushed when I got within 100yd. Just checking now, and a hyena call is the only thing that comes close. My imagination had selected something with a k9 head, and claws. This is the second time this year I've heard it, never instilling the best feeling. At least I could see well, the moon is full tonight.

The Jarbidge seems to match the description, somewhat, of E-Zed’s monsters. That’s why I think this stuff I found is significant. Here’s some pics I screenshotted that are crappy quality.

Only problem is that I think the highway part of E-Zed’s story doesn’t match the location of Jarbidge, NV. But Jarbidges don’t have to live in one town, they’re probably all over the mountains.

I forget if this picture was taken in nevada or Florida, but it was classsified as a bigfoot sighting-

But this thing was said to leave behind a nasty smell.

Then there was that /b/ post where one of these things was shot and left behind- black blood, which overtly implies these fucking things have an INTENSE Muscle structure pumping what is effectively so much much Adrenaline and hormone through it, they're in the zone 24/7 Wargod tear off your fucking arms out the sockets mode.

Which explains any degree of erradic behaviour or the constant need to bear teeth, which in animals is a threat/desire to consume thing.

If we take the idea these things came from DEEP underneath the earth, it supports the idea of our earth basiclaly having a fucking Undedark that supports horrific unforgiving ecologies that link to Deep Sea trenches which acts as the 'prooving ground' for Evolution and natural selection as we know it-

American underground Nuclear Tests have probably fucked these places up- which explains residual radiation left by these things and related Skinwalker/Fleshgair/Shaggie Skinbear Cyptids that have had some degree of coverage in even closer recent years-

I would not be surprised if the odor they secret is a mind-affecting phermone.

At most ludicrous endgames, these things may be that extradimensional crap Alex Jones dropped in that one interview, which didn't make sense at first, unless you've read an article on the subject of creatures from higher dimensions- in effect, these are things that touch upon- or at the most far-fetched are from- higher dimensional space- explaining the speed, dispersal act- invisibility crap these things pull off in the stories.

Let me present you Hungary's most famous cryptid: the fanyűvő of Mátranovák. Named after a character from a folktale, it's supposed to be a yeti-like creature. Pic related is allegedly this creature, but there was a small shitstorm in the Hungarian cryptid community about the authenticity of the picture. And not much later a TV station made this report, they say people most likely mistook this old man for a cryptid: https://youtu.be/C6PHC32up4Y?t=4m43s It's funny because fanyűvő means something like "tree wearer", and this guy is a legit woodworker.

What always gets me is the electrical and atmospheric disturbances that just happen constantly in cases where someone was obviously killed by an unknown creature. Missing 411 is full of bullshit but the cases that really stick out and are consistently reported the same way across multiple sources are the ones where someone disappears within the span of a few minutes and a massive storm rolls in, then when their clothes are found all the electronics in them are fried to shit. Combine this with the thousands of reports of "fuzzy" as in surrounded by distortion creatures across the world and you really start to believe there is some serious shit going on.

I've got family near Somerset. Very old school and have occupied the same holler going on 200 years now. Cross a small foot bridge across the creek and go about 200 feet up the mountain side. There is a massive boulder with a bunch of stones of varying size around it. The older folk always told us to stay far away due to snakes, but we didn't always listen. I always thought it was curious that there was a large collection of objects under the overhand on that boulder. Flower pots and other outdoor stuff, bits of clothing, cooking utensils. Could it be related? Many of the rocks are of the right size. My Great Aunt may know something but her mind is going quick.

Hey.. I got a question for you/your uncle. I've been having some spoop shit go on for a while in the forest around my house. Real weird shit. Definite sense of 'being watched'. At first I thought it was cougars. I wasnt actually too spooped by that part because I've been in combat before I aint afraid of stupid shit. But then something else started happening. I started hearing the sound of a small river/brook. But the closest moving water near me is 20 miles away.

It definitely sounded like a small river/brook but it also sounded like a grainy record playing. Something about the sound scared the shit out of me, made it hard to fucking walk but I kept walking to it to figure out what the fuck it was. The closer I got to it the further away it got, when I got to where I originally heard it coming from it stopped completely then when I said fuck this and turned around it started following me back to the house at a much faster pace than it had 'withdrawn' away from me, like it was chasing me. When I turned around there was something in the woods.. and two green lights that I thought were fucking laser sights.

The fuck could that have been? Seems to only happen when it is below 50* out.

Its not verboten, but Germany has no real nature left as he area has been so long and heavily inhabited by humans that every corner has been influenced/developed by them at some point in history. German law expresses that in defining the whole country as a "cultural landscape".

The majority of woodland is either privately owned, state owned or wildlife reserves and thus you have to obey certain laws when entering them.

Enter private land without permission of the owner is of course trespassing and most are hunting territories, so if you are found with a weapon while trespassing you will also be persecuted for poaching.

Most state owned land is closed to the public because most of it are leftover military installations in different states of decay and contaminated by leftover ammunition.

And in wildlife reserves you have to obey the nature conservation laws that apply to the area, which means most of the time you are not allowed to leave the road during certain month so that you don't disturb some endangered birds nesting.

Fellow WAfag here though irrelevant to my following advice. Stretch out with your fellings as though you are creating a barrier or shield that it cannot enter. Having weapons on hand or nearby will make you feel stronger and will strengthen the effect.

I work graveyard and spend my weekend nights drinking and smoking outside. I've felt evil presences before, but ever since getting into esoterics and applying magick, I've never been bothered. The spirits and shadowy creatures know that I am the scariest thing that lurks in the night. They really aren't that powerful beyond mental tricks of making you feel fear.

I've never seen a spook, but I thought I did when I was a kid. My dad grew up having to hunt or starve, so he's a decent hunter, my uncle was skilled and went hunting all the time, so I heard a few spook stories from him. A couple from my brother in the army as well, but I'm 50% sure he was bullshitting, or just telling a story he heard and inserting himself as the protagonist.

>be me, 4 or 5

>live about 30 minutes drive out of a rural town, 10 minutes from army base, in a farm cottage that backs onto hills owned by the army for training.

>sister moved out, so my brother took her room, which means I have the room to myself.

>go to bed, turn off the lights, only light into the room is from the other end of the hallway.

>can't sleep and feel spooked, pretend I'm a big boy, turn over in bed and look out the window. >see two glowing yellow/green eyes staring at me through the window.

>too scared to breathe, don't want to make a sound

>hear my dad walk up the hallway

>eyes blink out, shadow moves, it's about the size of a dog

>pull covers over my head and fail to sleep for a few hours

>tell dad about it in the morning, he tells me I was dreaming

>older brothers come that weekend. they go hunting in the hills behind the house.

>find a feral cat den in a fox hole, area littered with rabbit and lamb bones. huge kittens.

>They shoot the cat. My brother blew the top of it's skull off with a .303 and thought he missed, because it didn't fall down right away. Just walked around in circles for 10 seconds before dropping.

>fucking huge, at least 20 kgs. Size of a small dog. Solid muscle.

>no more boogeyman

Might have been someones exotic pet that got loose. Or might have just been a fuckhuge, roided up, hungry feral that thought I was small game. It wasn't some household tabby that got abandoned, not by a long shot.

Got some Yowie stories and one about some jungle bigfoot my brother saw in some Indonesian jungle.

The short story my brother told me which was probably bullshit.

>sent to Indonesia as part of some training/goodwill exercise, in jungle near Papuan border.

>spends time in camp near jungle, saying in donga huts.

>have to be careful because orangutans live in area and figured out how to open doors and windows and like rooting through trash.

>get spooked by hairy ape once morning that had figure out how to jiggle the door latch in order to let itself in.

>go deep in jungle, tiered forest that has levels.

>second day in they're in a quiet jungle, no bird calls, only bugs

>brother sees scratches on trees, some are 12 feet up

>no bears in Indonesia

>camp

>can't sleep

>guy on watch thinks he hears something moving around

>must be orangutan, right?

>shine light out, catch sight of something 7 feet tall, humanoid, eyes reflect orange

>everyone is up

>shadow fucks off running

>rest of the trip they're camped in more active jungle and don't see anything.

Could have been a tribal fella, I suppose, but the natives over there are like short abos and few make it to 6 feet in height. Might have been a well fed cannibal, or some Indo army guy playing tricks. Or my brother is full of shit.

My uncle was a skilled hunter, at least by Australian standards. Depending on the time of year he would make more from selling pelts (foxes mainly) from weekend hunting, than as his job as an electrician. Not superstitious, the type to call bullshit on stuff unless he'd seen it himself. He had a few stories; thought he saw a big cat once, min min lights (like an Australian will o' wisp) and some spook in the forest in between Coonaburabran and Narrabri, Northern NSW, near the Queensland border. >Uncle is driving small company truck from Queensland to Vic, part of some training seminar or something.

>Got an allowance for hotels, doesn't want to spend it, so he can pocket the difference.

>Takes the Newell highway to cut a few dog legs out of a 2000 km trip.

>Makes it to a town on the QLD/NSW border, by evening, pull in at a truck stop for a feed.

>Speaks with locals, they just assume he's buying a room for the night, he's surprised by that and figures he'll just have another coffee then drive all night.

>They tell him he'd better not pull over to sleep. The truckies either stay the night here or drive on through. 120km's to the next town. Most just get a room, or pull over just outside of town and sleep in the cabin. Even the abos don't go through the forest at night.

>Uncle thinks they're just bullshitting him so he'll buy a room. He laughs it off and drives. He saw a couple of trucks drive through while he was eating.

>Shitty black highway through forest. Potholes and road damage from heavy traffic. No lights. He's worried he'll hit a roo as he's seen huge mobs on the way down so far.

>gets about 50km in. Battery dies. He's not sure what it could be. Alternator or regulator, maybe, but the vehicle is a company one, so it should be serviced regularly.

>enough momentum to roll onto side of the road.

>goes to take a look, gives up because the torch in his kit's battery is dying.

>figures he'll wait for a truck, try to flag it and ask them to radio in some roadside mechanic from one of the nearby towns.

>waits for an hour, no trucks.

>falls asleep.

>woken up by a shriek. Didn't sound human. Maybe a fox or an owl.

>maybe a minute passes. Hears shriek from other side of the cabin. Not a fox or an owl. made his skin crawl.

>sweating intensifies. It's pitch back and he's in the middle of nowhere.

>something slams the back of the the truck.

>truck gets slammed again. Harder. Rocks the cabin.

>another shriek. Not an animal. If it's an abo high on speed or something, they're strong and psychotic enough to charge at a parked truck.

>he doesn't know how long he sat there, fighting the urge to get out and start running. It would get quiet for a while, then every few minutes he'd hear another one of those shrieks, coming from a different direction.

>sees lights off in the distance. It's a truck coming up the highway.

>wants to get out and flag the truck down, but scared to get out of the truck.

>decides to wait until truck is closer then open the door, hang half out of the cabin and wave the torch like a madman.

>truck is going about 120, takes a while to slow down. Driver gets out "what the fuck are you doing?"

>uncle explains the breakdown, doesn't mention spook. Truck driver doesn't have time for my uncle's shit. "Let me take a look."

>opens the bonnet, "try and start her up"

>engine starts up straight away.

>truckie thinks my uncle is either retarded or a criminal. Hurls some abuse, gets back in his truck and drives off.

>uncle doesn't hang around and drives to next town.

>checks the truck when he pulls over.

>panel damage behind light bar at the rear. The bar was bent out slightly, rear lights were broken. Looked like he'd been rear-ended by another vehicle.

>Never drives through there again. Was even nervous about going pig hunting in NSW after that.

Anything remotely spooky has been long exterminated in Europe. In France we've had entire brigades of "louvetier" (luparii in latin, wolf hunters) comb every cm² of forest until common wolf were de facto extinct and basically every species deemed a threat (including birds of prey, owls, bats, etc…).

The last big uproar was probably in hyper rural and isolated Gevaudan (note that Gevaudan is largely today's Lozère which is still the biggest and less populated french department) in the 1700.

The "beast" killing kept on going for a while after it's official death but by 1800 it was safe.

I had a great uncle who had a UFO experience in outback Vic. Didn't talk about it too much because people would just think he's off his rocker.

He was driving on a dirt road one night when an object flew down in front of his car. He couldn't see much as it was shining a light on him. After a few minutes he decided to try to go around this thing and just get home, but every time he made a move to the side, the light would hover to the side and block his way. It was within 10 metres of his car, so it couldn't have been mistaken for a chopper or anything. After 10 minutes of this, it took off again and that was it. This was over 30 years ago.

He had a fascination with books on UFOs and such after that.

Min Min Lights. There are videos on youtube of weird glowing balls of lights. Enough reports for people to come out and offer explanations like bioluminescence or a type of fata morgana mirage. Seen all over Australia, mainly in outback QLD, deserts and plains. Usually on the horizon, though some people have seen them up close and personal. According to legend, following them is a really bad idea. It's a weird local UFO, similar to ghost lights and will o wisps from other parts of the world.

If you need a plausible explanation that doesn't involve ufo's or spooky ghosts, quarts and various other mineral compounds can cause ionization of air when put under stress. Prior to earthquakes, lights are often seen. The theory here is that huge magnetic fields are being induced from local stressed on the minerals in the area, and could also explain these lights following certain things.

As this guys say >>598710 trying to interact with a light or follow one is definitely a bad idea, as any fields that could cause a section of air to ionize are likely not healthy to be in or around.

I'm going with the literal 'ufo' or Unidentified. Not saying it's aliens or fairies. I don't know what it is. Australia does have a lot of rare earth and minerals, so it could easily be something to do with that. Could be some smartarse with a drone. Might be a rare species of luminescent moth that chases after car lights. Could be ghosts.

Because this is how predators behave, regardless if you look at wolfs, tigers, crocodiles, hyena and so on.

Your body has an instinct to sense that it is or can be hunted at a certain moment, this is making you anxious.

Predators stick to the shadows even when not hunting, because other animals hate them and when they hunt, they are always looking and hushing from cover to cover.

If they jump you, they are usually so fast that you only notice their shadow falling onto you.

Then you have the weird sounds and a lot of animals make sounds we normally don't expect them to make and some of them sound like calls to us. Owls were feared as a death bird in medieval times, because people thought the were saying "come here" when calling.

On top of that predators have a high rate of failure when hunting, the prey may be stronger or quicker and initially thought.

The predator doesn't get the right angle or is noticed too soon and thus breaks the attempt off to conserve energy and void getting injured is also pretty common.

Last but not least, if you are able to spot a predator hunting, you might not actually be the prey he is after.

>It's always in America or Canada

They still have big predators that can be dangerous to humans, unlike Europe where everything bigger than a dog was exterminated.

They were also colonized during the period when in Europe the Enlightenment movement was kicked off, so a lot of superstitious people ended up settling there.

Take for example the Braucherei of the Pennsylvania Dutch in the USA which still can be found today, such practices where common in medieval and renaissance Germany but they died out here during the 18th Century.

I don't think you can comprehend how uninhabited places are in this part of the world. Hell back at my family home I was probably the first person since the laying of the property markers to go find the furthest one. I live in what can be considered a "large city" (we're just short of 500,000 residents, and that's only because of how the county borders are decided), and the only thing between me and being innawoods is about three houses and a half acre of grassland. Admittedly said "woods" are only about a square mile of land, and full of only deer, mountain lions, bighorn sheep, and bears so it's more like a "park," but there's a national forest and mountains about an hour away by car, which is nothing when getting to the next major city the next state over is a 6-12 hour drive going 70mph+ on the highway. I know Canada is even worse in some areas than us on this front. There's a shit ton of open, uninhabited (but owned by someone, usually the government) land in North America. The Mexicans have shit too, they just don't usually translate their stories into English, but they've got some crazy shit down there as well.

>spooky stories

not really too spooky, but it's been bothering me for years

>be about 5 years old

>live next to this small forest (can leisurely walk from one end to another in 2 minutes, not sure if to even call it a forest)

>sit on the sidewalk next to the forest edge, play with a stick, suddenly notice something out of the corner of my eye

>look up

>next to me, no more than a metre, stands a deer, looking right at me. The deer has silver (meaning gray) fur with the proper white dots and all that a normal, brown deer has

>look at each other for like fifteen seconds, don't dare even breathe

>not scared, just bewildered by the pretty sight

>finally start reaching out to try and pet it

>deer immediately turns around and flees

>never seen it since

There are no deers living in that tiny as fuck forest, and I'm not even sure if gray coloured deers exist at all. I know it sounds like something a 5 year old imagined, but I've been adamant about having seen it, I couldn't have dreamt it since I carried on with my day as usual, and all the other memories (that I still have) from that age are just as vivid and can be confirmed by other people even today. The only deer that keep their white spots in adulthood are fallow deer, which do live in your country. Also, deer fur goes a bit more gray during the winter, but also when they're old/sick.

And since it approached you, it was most certainly a female. Male deer are unlike the females not retarded, and they stay away from humans or the open. Unless of course they grew next to humans and got used to them.

>a bit more gray

It was also very distinctly gray, as in you couldn't mistake the colour.

>it was most certainly a female

that is quite possible. It did look like the deer in your first pic, only gray. Like the white spots you see on it stayed white, but all the brown fur was gray

The thing is, I've never in my life seen another deer anywhere near that place, the forest is too small for one to live there and is cordoned off by houses on three sides and a highway on the fourth. Sure, you can spot a rabbit there occassionally, but never anything bigger.

Fur colors can vary, I'm still convinced that what you saw was a female fallow. Is there any other forest or mountain around your area? Sometimes deer will travel across highways, it isn't impossible that some retarded female wandered off and found itself in your garden.

There's a large forest about a kilometre away – behind the highway and a large field. I suppose it's plausible it was just a fallow deer with a peculiar fur colour, but it's strange that it walked so near to me, especially in a place where no deer was before or after as far as I know.

So this story isn't metaphysical or anything but it is pretty spooky and a good reminder that there are plenty of things out in the night that will fuck you up without remorse.

>Be strelo/k/ assigned to a group operating in Texas on the US/Mexican border.

>Assigned to an intelligence job and also assigned to monitoring cameras.

>Fucking off late at night and watching cameras for foreigners with other dudes.

>Eyes on the screen. WTF is that?

>Giant black cat is walking through the bush. It's a fucking tiger sized jaguar thing.

>Pick up phone and dial border patrol.

Conversation went like this…

"Good morning, this is SSG Anon at the **** and I am looking at camera XYZ right now. There is a tiger or something that just walked by. It is a sternum height cat with wide shoulders and stuff."

"One second."

>Guys appear on camera moments later rooting around with weapons drawn.

"I can see you guys on camera XYZ."

"Yea, we are here. You JUST saw a giant cat in the bush here? Are you messing around?"

"I can have the tapes pulled and sent to you. Please be careful and don't get eaten or something."

"Yea. We will be fine. We are going to try to shoot this thing. Call us back if you see it again."

During brief the next day we passed around pictures of this ginormous cat and discussed how it had walked calmly through a group of armed dudes in the middle of the night and not been spotted. They never found it but someone has a picture in their office of this thing. We sometimes found bits and pieces of bones and clothes in the desert and I wonder if this thing isn't out there eating illegals when it gets the chance.

I would drink a beer and look out into the night and get a chill when I thought of how close that thing was to every one and you would never know it was there unless it decided to fuck you up. Mother nature and the shit out in the wild is scary as all get out.

I have a santa muerte story I remembered. If you don’t know, Mexicans sometimes mix their Catholic faith with some quasi-shamanistic stuff surrounding narco-cultura. So they have saints like The White Lady, Jesus Malverde, and Santa Muerta. It’s like voodoo but for narcos. Had a sheriff who put some Santa Muerte themed grips on his side arm as a “ha ha fuck you” joke to the people we were dealing with. Well, he gets in a gun fight and lights off three rounds, all misses, before his weapon disintegrates in his hand. He was supposedly a good shot and his weapon was well taken care of but later the bad guy was caught all tatted up with Santa Muerte iconography snd we blamed the grips. He later switched to an FN 5.7 due to it’s popularity in narco culture and dropped all the narco voodoo shit.

Tldr. Spooky skeleton lady blows up 1911 with custom grips to protect narco because he is a faithful. Boo!

It's because they were used in an existential war, especially those on the Eastern Front. If weapons do absorb what's going on around them, a nugget will have a mentality of "if I don't make sure this piece of shit is dead, the entire reason I exist is for naught" vs a mall ninja ar15 will have the mentality of "I'm all bark and no bite".

Sure when you're just dealing with Tyrone or a deer, a rifle that is used for targets at a range, will work perfectly fine. But when it's something that's 7 feet tall, has limbs that are more akin to toothbrushes that are somehow too long, has bleach white skin that's looks like it's been put under the sun for 500 years where there isn't unwashed hair that looks like it's just had the contents of a fryer thrown on it, eyes that are somehow too large for it's skull, and goes from sounding like a whale mimicking human speech to a regular person in two sentences, you need something that's been through a literal hell like Stalingrad, the Fall of Berlin, the Somme Offensive or the island hopping in the Pacific during WW2 where the rifle knows nothing but suffering and death.

When I was younger, and still living in California, I would often see these humanoid shadows. Often peaking around corners, running, walking, or standing. They did not like to be in my line of sight for long and would fade away or hide if I looked directly at them. Only to come back a few seconds later. Only with my peripheral vision could I try to get a decent look at them. I never felt any negative feelings or stress when I would see them other than an occasional spook if I stubled on one during the night, or if I woke up to one when I was sleeping. I never say a face on one. They were always a shade of red or grey. And I remember them having this odd ground beef looking skin whenever I was able to get a somewhat good look at one.

I have never seen anything like this since I moved and got older. But this one thing stuck with me untill now.

Anyone here that is experienced with spoops or occult stuff know what these things might have been?

>he takes some case off the back of his ATV and hauls it inside of the little cabin.

>he comes out a few minutes later hops onto his ATV rides off

>since i was a dumbfuck 17 year old i felt like i absolutely needed to fuck with this guy for ruining my night

>guy is running around the cabin and yelling expletives and threats

Alrighty tighty time for some fresh spooky from the northern wonderland

>Fall 20xx

>Head up north on shoot n' bbq camping trip to a cottage with some great friendpals that I met through another great buddyfriend

>pic gives you a general idea of the scenery but it was fall time all is brown, red and gold.

>friendpals have some seriously rare and extremely cool hardware that would normally be super duper illegal up here

>I mean full maximum funz condition pew pew

>tfw noguns family only my trusty .62cal Jeager rifle (it's a short flintlock, rifled)

>Looking forward to learning how to track and hunt animals with my buddyfriend

>friendpals have brought up some favorites from their own collection of course, a genuine romaniun dragunov, a bolt action that I dont remember the name of but chambered in 675 nitro express, 1945 russian SVT, various rolling block rifles.

>Arrive at cottage, more like large cabin (no electricity, well water duh)

>dusty as fuck, need to clean before we settle in, owner says he hasn't visited for 2 years

>buddyfriend and me rooming in the attic because friendpals are lazy and old

>Building consists of one large log cabin with 5 rooms (living room 2 bed rooms, kitchen, small dining room), and an equally large or larger storage shed where we parked our vehics and where the owner stores his ATV's and snow machines

>few days pass without incident, just a bunch of oldfags cooking bacon in only their underwear

>head out in the early mornings to shadow friendpals as they go hunting for moose

>forest is cozy as fuck a mix of pine and Carboniferous, fall has only just begun but at night it gets to below freezing very quickly

>early morning walking along a trail through the brush

>find the frozen corpse of a fairly large raccoon

>coyotes will probably come and eat it later

>continue wandering around the forest, I dont know where we're going but pointman says he's following a moose trail

>odd thing is we keep finding random dead animals along said trail

>largely intact and ranging from small birbs to rodents and coons, there was a dead fox as well.

>point man suddenly says it's very strange because this trail (of corpses) roughly circles around our cabin

>well that's an expat for you, always knowing where he is

>we seemed to make a lot of turns and circles so I have completely lost my sense of direction a long time ago

>make a note of how we walked into the extremely cliche plot of a low budget horror film (see I can be funny too!)

>all 7 of us are quite unnerved though, because we're living it right the fuck now

>brush it off as a coincidence, maybe some animal marking its territory

>all our instincts and superstitions tell us otherwise

>it's getting close to midday now but still want to try to bad that moose

>spend a few hours walking in a sort of marshy area the ground is soft and very fucking muddy

>tracks lead on and after another hour or so but we find the moose

>it's head sitting in a shallow puddle of blood looking right at us as we emerge from the dried reeds

>it's in several pieces, chunks of its insides (probably) scattered everywhere

>couldn't smell it earlier due to the marshy terrain but now that we're in the middle of it I am assailed by the stench of spilled innards (it was my first time okay)

>upon closer examination friendpal remarks that it's not been decapitated but seems to be a victim of the marsh

>poor moose probably eaten alive by whatever predator passed by before we came along

>with confirmation of our piss poor luck and with the evening drawing near we decide to start heading back

>group navigator friendpal reckons we likely made a 15km trek but since we're just retracing our steps we'll get there by sundown

>no one is saying it but everyone agrees that they don't want to push any further and end up stuck out in the pitch blackness of the fall night with whatever has claimed the property as its territory

>almost on Que my buddyfriend steps into what he thought was solid ground and sinks all the way to his lower chest.

>"Fuck" says everyone and the two closest including myself pull him out quickly.

>could of sworn I saw something try grabbing his foot as we pulled him out

>but you know what they say, maybe im 2 spooked out and now I'm making things up in my mind

>Back to the crisis: This is a northern fall and it is fucking cold, we must take a moment to unpack and change his clothes out or he may get hypothermia especially since buddyfriend is kind of twiggy

>we also have to set up a stove fire to warm him up

>this all takes time as you can imagine, which is highly unfortunate because taking into account what navigator friendpal said earlier we would now have to travel in the dark.

>this spooktrip is already 2 spooky5me, I make a note that the cozy feeling left with the midday sun

>work night shift in a rock quarry as a maintenance welder/mechanic

>most nights just drive or walk around the plant making sure everything is running smoothly

>shitty lighting, constant haze of dust, almost deafeningly loud if you're near the screens or crushers.

>there are two plants: the primary, which is actually in the pit, and the secondary, which is at the top of the pit high wall. The primary ends with a long(300 yd) conveyor that dumps onto a pile, and another conveyor carries rock 400 yards up to the secondary. It's a long way down into the primary, since you have to either drive the whole haul road or walk down a long narrow conveyor.

>shut down early one night so me and the other welder can fix a blown out wall in a chute.

>run out of oxygen for the torch around 1 am.

>buddy drives up to get another bottle in the small pickup while I'm welding.

>pretty quiet, normal summer night. Few frogs and bugs, water trickling down the high walls. Crank up the welding machine and faintly rocks sliding over the roar of the diesel. Figure it's nothing.

>Now, these pits aren't a stripped desolate hole like you'd imagine a quarry would be. The edges are a series of benches about 20' wide with steep cliffs between them, and it's heavily grown up with pines and undergrowth. The only barren area is the actual floor and benches being currently mined.

>So I'm standing on a ladder, welding down there by myself, can't really hear much over the welder. Think I hear more rocks sliding but I'm in the zone, burning rod.

>Then I feel a slight breeze on the back of my neck, like someone had walked behind me. Except I'm 10' up in the air on a ladder. I stop welding, raise my hood, and look around but I don't see anything except the headlights coming down the road at the other end of the pit. I flip my hood down and go back to it. Feeling a little spooked now.

>Then a fucking rock hits my hard hat, like it fell off the catwalk overhead. Almost immediately after I hear a thud below me and feel another breeze, like something jumped down from above and landed down where my ladder was standing. Hear some more rocks sliding down the high wall 15' behind me.

>Im down off the ladder shining my light down into the bushes when my buddy shows up and asks me if I just just jumped off the catwalk. He thought he'd seen someone/something standing up above where we were working and it jumped over the handrail to the ground when his headlights turned towards it.

>Neither of us really knows what happened, because I didn't actually see anything and all he really saw was a tall dark shape.

Since then, I think I've seen whatever it was from a distance a few times. Once I swear I saw something standing on the platform above the surge pile, but when I got closer there wasn't anything there but it looked like something had jumped down into the rock and slid down the pile. The edge of the pile is usually a pretty neat cone unless there's a loader digging in it, and there was a distinct gouge down the side of the pile. Just like if you slid down a sand dune, except crushed rock. Another time I saw a tall figure walking in the trees down by the sink at the bottom of the pit when I down there checking the pit pump. When I got back in my truck, I called over the radio to see if anyone was down there, but no one had been down except me. When I've asked other guys who have worked here for a long time, they all say they've seen or noticed weird shit down in the pit/primary as long as they've been there. Usually dead animals left places they wouldn't normally be found, tools being knocked over, or seeing humanlike movement in the woods as haul trucks drive by.

This is in central NC, at a fairly old quarry. Started in the 60s I believe. I've never heard of any Bigfoot or goat man type things in this area. Any NC guys got anything?

Question for nephew and uncle spook. It's been twoish years, but you have to come back sometime. We've already defined a difference between Greek Daimons as obsessive compulsive spirits with pet concepts/emotions, and Demons as Goetic nightmare creatures that like to give you The Exorcist treatment and are totally malicious, for whatever reasons they may have biblical or otherwise.

But what's the deal with gray areas like eastern wrathful gods and gnostic deliverer types that have devils' faces or PR relations in contrast to explicitly heavenly roles? Your Dharmapalas and Lucifer-Prometheuses? Good? Bad? Cryptid irrelevant? Conceptually weaponizeable like the name of Indra against wendigoes per cap 4 in >>525598 or not? Can spooks be out-spooked in a righteous fashion, or is fighting fire with fire purely Kabalic faggotry?

See if this helps:

Cassidy's Farm in Lexington, KY

>me visiting my cousin and brother in the 90s

>nobody's home, so I take a walk

I don't know what the actual name of the farm is, but its some kind of heritage sight. There's a modern house, an old homestead very sturdily built, a cave and creek, several ponds, an old yet more recent cabin upon a hill, and a cemetary enclosed by a stone wall and several willows.

>decide the cemetary isn't spooky enough at noon, so I walk up to the cabin

>pass through two gates and close them behind so the cows don't follow me

one of the gates also has that dug out cow catcher deal, I forget what they call em

>So I'm exploring the hill top mid day, but I know I'm being watched from inside. I don't look through the windows, I keep them out of sight.

>I circle round the cabin taking in the view and the summer farm air.

>I still feel drawn to the cabin. I'm mortally curious now, I need to satisfy what I feel. I need to lock eyes with whatever is watching me.

>I see nothing, but quick as I look I hear a man's voice I've never heard before bark "what are you doing here!"

I was a round, little porker in my early teens, but I hopped over that cow catcher, passed through the two gates, and ran across the creek in seconds flat. The cows just stared of course. Their bovine gazes were so sedative, to this day cows comfort me. I might have lost my shit if they weren't there, I don't know. I must have looked like the nigger who'd seen a spook.

I asked everyone if they'd been up to the cabin, after my cousin and my brother came back from town later that evening. Nobody was there but me, my cousin in law, and their kids all day. If there was someone, they were trespassing, not me, so I should have hollered right back at the cocksucker.

Posted in the paranormal thread because I didn't realize this thread was still going - this is definitely the right place.

>get three days free after doing 24/7 grandpa care for two months

>get two friends to go innamountains with me

>leave Friday night innatruck pulling a trailer with two fourwheelers

>light finally fades about 10PM, mid august in Alaska

>take it easy on speed because big ‘ol diesel

>get to the target highway at about midnight

>pavement ends at mile 21ish

>everything to now has been pretty normal

>couple miles in road turns left with a small pulloff on the right side

>little subaru parked there facing into road

>LEDLightBarAtFaceLevel.png

>there’s someone leaning on the hood watching us as we drive by

>tired by this point, not real concerned

>figure it’s someone waiting for their hunting buddy, it’s caribou season

>keep going

This highway is real rough in the fall. It’s gravel, and the heavy fall rains combined with all the fall time hunting and camping traffic tears it up.

>point the lightbar car out to him

>he watches them in the side mirror, doesn’t seem too unsettled

This is where it gets way outta whack

>wake up the other friend, kill the engine, hop out

>instant gut assessment: shit’s fucked, we’re being hunted, time to go

>my response to this novel sensation: hey, there’s something written on that SUV

>shine my flashlight on it

> “MOLOCH” written in the dust on back window since it was parked

>oh fuck what

>friends are stretching legs, one has his AR out – they’re both too quiet

>shoes/sandals and shorts – comfy driving wear – on front seats

>full packs and compound bow in back

>full cooler

>tent

>everything is untouched

>6mo expired youth group sticker on hood, empty coffee hut coffees

>looks like a young couple out to camp

>friends are checking out this SUV

>we’re all at independently reached 10/10 maximum alert

>look around the whole area, nobody is there

>no fresh tracks except in parking area itself

>another pair of cars with LED light bars go by hauling maximum ass

>we keep rifles on em from cover as they go by

>give in to gut feeling, leave

>camp 30 miles away on a different highway

>come back in the morning

>SUV still there, untouched

>still no sign of anybody around

>terrible gut feeling gone

>take the 4-wheelers and go 8 miles back innamountains

>have a good time camping, get bullied by a caribou

>come back in next day

>nobody was out there, great lines of sight and nowhere to hide

>SUV untouched

>food in the back is starting to go off

>get back to town

>call SUV in to troopers

>dispatcher goes yeah that’s sketchy AF, I’ll send someone out

>call back two weeks later to see what came of it

>no record of having ever called it in, but they have every other call I’ve made

I don't have closure on this. I’m convinced we were getting checked out and the only reason they let us be was because we had our AR’s propped up on the seats and very visible.

If you can track the plate no. Without having yourself, as well as your buddies tracked, of course you might be able to get a bit of info as to who the car belongs to.

As with your pursuers, if the people that own the SUV are ded, chances are the ones pursuing you might have some "connection" with what habbened. That "moloch" written on the tailgate could prolly be a marker/signal of sorts that the ones "in the know" would know what means.

Since /k/ommando spoops mostly have cults and innawoods is the perfect place to start one, it is not outside the realm of possibility that the dudes that tailed are possibly security elements of a cult.

Or it could have been plain kidnapping and you accidentally stepped in while they are doing a snatch and grab. But since state troopers didn't budge, prolly it is some eyes wide shut kind of thing.

Moloch is traditionally spelled with one L or as a three letter representation for “The King” in Hebrew. An actual worshipper should probably know that. My vote is split on both fake as well as gay.

Want us to dig? Give me mgrs or lat/long for the location, a google earth link, and the plates and I will reach out to the local LE for an update myself.

Got another Northern Nevada story.

I was talking to a client of mine today and she mentioned that she not only lived in the Elko area before but she used to be a mine dispatcher. I'm relaying this to the best of my memory so bear with me.

>be my client in the early 2000s

>working as a dispatcher for a mining company

>don't really live underground but go down a lot

>job is basically to keep track of everyone while they're on shift

>miners are an interesting bunch

>one guy is a little crazy, he pretty much never takes breaks or really leaves the underground

>always works graveyards

>call him Zombie

>one night Zombie calls client up on a hardline phone

<hey I need you to dispatch a truck to us, we're not coming back the way we came in

>client is confused, this sounds weird

>Zombie knows the mines really well and he sounds kind of shaken up

>his crew sounds pretty shaken up as well, they also plead with client to send out a truck

>at first she thinks they're playing a prank on her since they do it all the time

>but if this is a prank, what's the punchline?

>decides to dispatch a truck to them

>Zombie and his crew eventually get back to HQ, Zombie looks absolutely fucking spooked, which is saying something because he basically lives underground in those mines.

>Zombie immideately takes a week off – and he never takes time off

>comes back and never talks about the incident ever again

>the rest of his crew went back to work the next day but they were really cautious and spooked

I told my client about some of the stories in this thread and I'm going to send her a few and see what she thinks…maybe she has more stories to tell

/k/, do you know much about the supposed spooky shit involving Mount Shasta?

My father was telling me stories about the supposed lost civilizations and Indian legends of the area, and he wants to go on a camping trip there and dick around innawoods.

I'd love to spend time with him camping, of course, but now I'm wondering if there's actually anything out there. Skinwalkers, Cannibal Demons, anything that might be hazardous that isn't just the regular wildlife.

That's what my Dad is interested in, and he mentioned something about searching the area for the supposed underground entrances into the interior.

Bring a buffalo gun and a camera with you. Spooks really hate cameras for some reason, seeing as how they've never been captured on one.

If you are attacked, be it by a spook or not, a buffalo gun will always prove itself indispensable.

In other news, I've devised a way in which to defeat a supernatural creature of almost any sort. The answer is drugs and a lack of clothes. A good number of these alleged beings seem to depend on fright, and what's a better way to combat fright than taking 10mgs of oxycodone? Pain suppression is an added benefit to that as well. Then you have the matter if whether these creatures are sapient, generally upwardly intelligent or similar; if they are, being stark naked and high will certainly catch them off guard, and seeing as how armor or clothes does very little at warding off whatever sort of attacks they have, such things matter little and you're better off taking the gamble of being naked. Provided that it isn't extremely cold, striping naked can only provide benefit. The flaw with this idea is that oxycodone takes a half hour to kick in, and thus I would recommend something like a very high dosage of xanax in lieu if you are caught unawares. Two benefits that oxycodone doesn't have: nearly instant effect, and at high dosages, complete memory loss combined with extremely erratic behavior. Downside is a lack of higher mental facilities, but I can't see bumrushing a skinwalker requiring much of that. In fact, that might even be a positive in some scenarios, but I would recommend against having firearms within any manner of accessible distance in such a case; if you do fight off your attacker, you may be down a hand and bleed out. I suppose the decision depends on whether or not you're hunting them, or if you've found yourself out in the woods and being hunted. Regardless, what's a better way to go out than going apeshit attacking a spook while naked and high? Can guarantee you almost any afterlife will let you in with that.

Nevada anon here, went camping with some buddies out in this area probably close to a month ago now. Drove around on some trails, didn't find any old buildings like in thread pic.

Two spooky things happened, one of our guys saw something 'larger than a deer and black in color' run through some trees probably 50 yards away from our campfire. We walked around but didn't see anything. Later that night I couldn't sleep for a while, sometime past midnight I heard what sounded like a deer or cow (there was a cattle farm semi nearby) screaming, kind of yelled on an off for 20 odd minutes before getting quiet. May go back (live near Yerington) sometime soon to explore some other possible areas.
