comunque sia libro strano…
la prima parte parla di come vivevano i poveracci tra le macerie della grande depressione. la seconda è interamenete dedicata ai radical chic, con un capitolo dedicato alla questione "ma i poveri, puzzano o no?". orwell dice di no. io dico che in un'epoca dove l'acqua corrente nelle case non era diffusissima e dove per lavorare dovevi magari sudare abbastanza…immagino che il concetto di puzza sia relativo e che nemmeno i colletti bianchi odorassero di buono, ma probabilmente la risposta in quel caso era sì.
