>Try non-erotic hypno
Like this person says, definitely start with something non-erotic or, at the very least, something less erotic. Presumably you're exploring hypnosis because it turns you on, but it also means you may be showing up with some expectations that add pressure or complication. There can be a lot of misinformation, unrealistic expectations, and sometimes outright bullshit in this fetish.
My subjective example of trance is driving a car. If you've ever zoned out while driving, you're probably familiar with the feeling. Mechanically, you're still doing what you need to steer and brake, but mentally, you're lost in thought or listening to music or just watching the terrain roll by. You're not totally absent, or you'd be genuinely unable to drive, but your attention has drifted elsewhere. You might not even know you've zoned out, except that there's usually a moment when you snap back to reality and realize you were driving on auto-pilot, and it takes a second or two to readjust.
For me, guided hypnosis is a similar experience. I'm physically present in my house, but mentally, I follow the hypnotist elsewhere. So long as my body is comfortable and warm, it's OK for me to get lost for a while in my own head. On a certain level, it's just guided imagination. The hypnotist is describing a scene, and I'm imaging it play out, filling in the missing details with my own memories and experiences. It doesn't have to be an erotic scene, but if it is, I'm using my own memories of sex - sight, touch, sounds, smell, taste - to construct something more vivid than just the words being spoken.
You can play the same trick on yourself pretty easily without a hypnotist. Imagine your favorite meal, and see if you can't conjure up a hint of how it smells or tastes. Of course it isn't equivalent to the real thing, but the human brain is good at remembering sensory experiences.
Specifically for erotic hypnosis, if you're trying to get an objective outcome, like a hands-free orgasm or some kind of conditioned response, you're also going to have to commit to practice and repetition. I don't know what your actual goals might be, but don't frustrate yourself by expecting immediate results. Nobody can magically command your body into reacting a certain way or performing a physical function. Instead, you can choose to reinforce a particular lesson or action, and over time, it will become more conditioned and reflexive. In the short term, just be excited by what you're experiencing and then go have a normal wank to traditional porn, if that's what makes you happy. If it scratches an itch and you had a good time, that's still a win.
