Every so often i read a thread, have something to say, but don't bother because i can't be arsed to struggle with the captcha. Last Friday i was killing some time before leaving for a train journey, and vola'd a file someone had requested (a minute to make the room, find the file, and drag and drop it?). Then i ran out of time trying to get past the board captcha.
It's one thing to keep out automated spam posting, but if an individual is motivated enough, no captcha is going to stop manual posting. Does Chan have to option of picture captcha's? or just a lower level of indecipherable would be an improvement.
I can't help wondering how much more active the board would be, and how many more file requests answered, if it was easier to post.
