I used to have a relatively indepth female arceus character I wanted to use to rp with people that also served as a template that I could do whatever I wanted without needing to put too much effort into it, but ended up deleting the flist I had for her and can't find where I'd archived it.

Just send them a PM and say "Hey, I like your character, would you be interested in doing a scene with me?", it's as easy as that. Usually it's best to come with a scene in mind and not be like "lol i dunno we can do whatever u want". Just don't expect them to be ready and willing to play that very second, even if they have their status set to looking.
There's also an 8chan /fur/ room, but it's pretty dead since it's mainly for discussion and everyone discusses things in discord these days.

Finding decently literate people isn't as hard as some make it seem. The hard part comes in convincing them that you're literate as well, and having a character that interests them. Pulling some numbers out of my ass, probably like 80% of the literate roleplayers are so burned out on getting plebbie approaches that they've got six million little mental turn-offs that set red-flags in their mind; and there's no definitive list for it.
Mine are 1st person POV, poor grammar in character description, no custom kinks, no "no" kinks, art that doesn't match with profile/other art pieces, and 500+ alternate characters, just to name a few. Maybe to get some life in the thread, others can share their red-flags and a little reasoning behind them.

I've been on this site for forever, and after a while I got tired of sorting through the same 60 characters popping up in the "Find Partners" results amongst one or two unseen characters.
So at some point I decided to make a text file to store all the normal people so I could screen them out.
This immediately turned into a simple python script to read names from one text file and filter out names in a blacklist text file, showing just new ones.
And then I got tired of copy/pasting names into the blacklist and made a primitive GUI using tkinter so that all the new names would appear as buttons, and clicking on them would add them to the blacklist.
Then at some point I turned the blacklist text file into a table in an sqlite database.
Later I added a text box to the GUI so that you can simply copy/paste the output directly and not have to edit any text files to use the program.
One direction I could take this in is finding an automated way to record data periodically, possibly by modifying an f-chat client. Using this, I could throw traffic data into a table and then use it for visualizations or analytics. Using that, I could calculate what time ranges the site tends to get the most traffic, what accounts stay online for 8 hour stretches, etc.
Another thought is to put together a web scraper to grab character kinks and descriptions. I could then give each kink a numerical weight. Additional search terms to check for in the profile description and special kinks would likewise have scores. On demand, all the profiles in the database could then be analyzed and their scores calculated. After I had a good amount of data, I'd be able to start doing some analysis of it to figure out the mean compatibility score and then segment the userbase according to standard deviations from the mean. I could then have the program generate a report to rank new characters by segment to allow viewing the top compatibility first.
Oh, and here's the python script, by the way. You need python3, tkinter and sqlite for it to operate. You'll probably also want to be running linux while you're at it.

I didn't go through any work aside from those <150 lines of python yet. I'm still not sure I'll actually mess around with the python client due to it being undocumented spaghetti code that I've yet to get working.
I ended the sentence with etc to imply there were more examples than just the two. Flagging accounts as perpetually AFK for being online in 8-hour blocks is one thing I can't do with the that stats page. There're a few others to list:
- Average compatibility score per hour
- traffic for high compatibility segment of user base
- traffic per kink
- traffic per kink combo
- traffic for friends/bookmarks
In the end, all of these systems, real and proposed, are intended to reduce the amount of AFK, illiterate, or incompatible players I manually contact with. The current tools (character search, find partners search) are good, but there's quite a bit of room for improvement.

Hobbies and pastimes: this is fine.
Literary genres are fine, especially if you let people know you'd be fine roleplaying stuff like that.
You also don't need some very obvious kinks, I think. For example, you don't need Cunnilingus (Receiving) in No, because you don't have a pussy.
It is good you filled out your entire info tab, though! That's one of the most important parts of a profile.

On artwork and such is passable, but when it comes in rps doesn't worth it, have a small experience with one player last year, since we meet both as anthro characters and we played fine but after a few weeks they switch to an elf and tried to shove it down my throat to the point that pm/note sniped as the elf all the time, have to delete the char since I feel baited to just play with the elf.
Is just preferences after all and even find interspecies play hot to a degree, but I cant stand when someone try to force me into something.

Y'know what really grinds my gears? Monkey girls (specifically monkey) drawn with human feet - heled and lacking the hand like appearance it should have. With ape 'anthros' its sort of permissible, the original Planet of the Apes pulled it off because that prehensile foot stuff wasn't important, but with monkeys it just looks really dumb, especially when that prehensile foot stuff is part of the appeal in many ways. Otherwise we just get a particularly hairy human (pic 1 related).
Even an anime like DxD Hero (Episode 6) gets that right with its Sun Wukong (as do most depictions of the character outside DBZ).
