I came across this book (pic related) and read it and been eating lots of raw eggs and meat. I feel a little sick/ feverish now after about 5 days of eating 20+ raw eggs with raw beef and chicken. According to the book the fever and diarrhea is suppose to be good and a sign that the detoxification process. I am becoming a little doubtful of this raw food/meat diet and was wondering if anyone here has had success with this kind of diet.

Sounds like keto flu, which will go away after a few days.

My problem with eating nothing but raw meat is that it intensifies the effects of nicotine and caffeine to the point were they become uncomfortable. And kicking those habits is much more intrusive to my life than a change in diet.

High body temp can be due to too much protein.

Maybe your problem is ketoflu. the solution is to add salt and potassium to your water at a ration of 3 salt/1elemental potassium up to 9g of salt per litter an 3g of potassium.

Add a little bit of sugar and magnesium to improve absorption of potassium.

Depending on how long you have had the symptoms, there is a good chance that your hair start falling in 3-6 months. Don't worry it will comeback

In what world is eating raw meat good for you? I ate a piece of raw beef liver once just to try it out and I got very sick for a few days. Raw eggs not too bad for you. However this isn't healthy and you are gonna get sick and tapeworms or something

Are people really this fucking stupid?

What if I told you that eating cow shit was a delicacy and that ancient hunters not only ate cow shit, but smeared it all over themselves for its benefits on the skin?

Some idiot will believe me.

Raw meat diet isn't exactly healthy but you will shred some bodyfat really quick. A few things to note:

1. The diarrhea isn't detoxification, you need some fiber. You can eat a green vegetable (which would be best for your health) or just take a fiber supplement to avoid this.

2. You don't have a fever, you are getting keto headaches. Add more salt to your food and drink chicken broth when your head starts to hurt and it will go away near instantly.

3. 5 days in is around the point that your blood sugar will be bottoming out, if you stick through it your head will feel better but the moment you have some fast digesting carbs you might pass out from the blood sugar spike. I nearly crashed my car binging on chinese food after 2 months of keto, make sure you don't put yourself in a similar situation when you reintroduce carbs.

Note: it's difficult to find supplemental potassium because it's very easy to overdose and cause heart failure. The obvious solution is to eat a balanced diet that includes plant sources of nutrition such as fruit, greens, or roots and tubers. These all have potassium and magnesium. Particularly good examples are dates and bananas, kale and spinach, & potatoes and sweet potatoes. Potatoes are particularly good for potassium.

Why did you make the change so drastically and suddenly? What ever happened to gradual changes??

Are you eating organic grass fed beef? And what's up with raw chicken? It looks like you went into this planning for it to fail.

Are you actually following Vonderplanitz's diet? Or are you just eating only raw meat and eggs? I'm pretty sure he talks about eating foods other than those, especially raw dairy products and the like. Please read the entire book before undertaking such a massive life change. It goes without saying that you need to eat high-quality meat and eggs, sick animals make food that makes you sick.

Best of luck, tell us how it works out for you.

Why would you want to eat raw meat in the first place? Cooking meat makes meat more bioavailable because it denatures the proteins.

you should read the whole book.

I went from cooked carnivore to raw beef carnivore, only negative side effects I've ever had on this diet were eating rendered fat when I first switched.

now that I've read the book I'm revisiting butter, next is milk, then eggs, and fruit.

it makes sense that a hunter would eat fruit from a tree he found in his travels, the difference is that now we have bred them into pure sugar and the amount of fructose in 1 fruit is closer to what an entire tree used to yield.

which he also recommends limiting fruit intake to about one a day.

but my diet was pretty clean before, fruits roots and meats. vegetables (leaves and stems) are trash and we would have never eaten those except out of necessity or for medicinal purposes.

There is no traditional culture that all their meat cooked, but there are also none that ate all their meat raw. You don't need to eat everything raw. A little raw liver or a few raw eggs yolks now and then are good for you, sure, but you don't need to do it 24/7. Zero/carb carnivore is great way to eat, but doing it 100% raw is pointless. The eggs especially. Raw egg whites are high in an antinutrient called avidin that binds to biotin. The main point of going carnivore is to avoid antinutrients, which are non-existent in meat, but ubiquitous in plants.

As for Vonderplanitz, he stumbled upon something good, but he doesn't really understand the science behind it. He thinks salt crystallizes in your blood and that honey isn't sugar.

>>143408

Raw beef liver is one of the most healthy foods on the planet. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals. It is more nutrient dense than any plants, and has bioactive forms of vitamins that no plant based food has, like preformed vitamin A and D.

>>143413

You're far more likely to get a food borne illness from a salad than raw beef or eggs. I trust that pre-ground beef in a tube more than I trust a piece of lettuce grown in filthy mexican ditchwater.

>>143416

The funny thing is, that's pretty much what vegans actually believe. The only way to get b12 other than eating meat is eating feces and dirt.

>>143421

Nobody needs fiber. I've been carnivore for about a year now and shit just fine. Every other day or so I get the urge and a nice juicy turd slides right out. I just pretty much the same as when I was pounding down veggies, only less often.

>>143423

Meat has plenty of potassium and mognesium. The only reason people have issues with it is at the beginning of a low carb diet when their body's fluid balance shifts. When I first went low carb ages ago I took some potassium and magnesium, but I haven't needed them in ages. Even low carb vegans have issues with this. It's just temporary, and doesn't last very long for most people.

>>145842

>sick animals make food that makes you sick

This is very true.

>>145941

The evidence says otherwise. Vegans looks sickly as fuck. Just look at any Vegan expert. They're fucking ghouls. Dr. Krapper, McGregor and his 12 bm's a day, psycho McDougal. They're all reaping what they sow, unfortunately for them.

>>146105

Not really, just makes them tastier. I like blue steaks. It's the best of both worlds.
