I live on the second floor, and if I get a giant machine like picrelated my house will *literally* cave in mousehunt-style. I was going to get a machine like picrelated-2, and just do bodyweight fitness for the rest, but I wanted your opinion first.

 No.123045

Just get a set of dumbbells. You shouldn't buy machines unless you're a gym owner.

>>123045

What about the second machine? Is that a good idea?

 No.123048

>>123047

That's not a machine (except if it's designed to move some way). Do you call pullup bars at your local park 'machines' too?

 No.123049

Both look pretty useless

 No.123051

The second one looks pretty light, you should make sure your ceiling is high enough though.

For bodyweight fitness I would just get a door mounted pull up bar. You would miss out on the russian chair stuff, but sit ups and crunches would be just as good. With the money you would save you could get a decline bench and light weights for situps to make them better.

1. it's not a machine. there is no mechanism. it's just a frame.

2. don't buy calisthenics apparatus, just go to your local park.

But then my door has to be open.

>>123095

I live in not the best city. My local park has firepits(aka holes in the ground), a swingset, and not much else.

>>123177

Doing pull-ups in your open door way is a good way to make /fit/ friends and meet girls.

buy a pair of olympic rings and find a tree

I can't give you a anecdote of how well this works, but here is my setup.

What an awful picture. I apologize.

are you dan from fitnessFAQ?

 No.123228

No. Should I be insulted?

 No.123235

These rings can be made pretty easily. Get a PVC pipe and fill it with sand, then cook it in the oven for a bit and bend it into the shape you want. Then take out the sand once it hardens and put a chain inside of it.

I think I spend less than $20 on Amazon. I'm ok with that price.

>tfw ring dips

Fuck why are they so hard. I can't brag or anything about my ability on normal dips, but rings are 100 times harder.

 No.123446

>>123354

Be careful with them though man. I was doing weighted dips and hurt my shoulder. Fortunately no tears or pops, I got lucky. I'm honestly just going to do pull-ups and rows before I even go back.

 No.123474

>>123446

All I have to do is not flare the elbows to avoid injury, right?

 No.123475

>>123354

they are hard because you need to use your inner stabilization muscles and be sure to use proper form of ring dips. yes, they are harder.

 No.123477

>>123474

I kinda messed that up here and now, but the major contributor was that I overdeveloped my upper pecs and shoulders. Dips will blow up your chest and shoulders, but you gotta make sure your back is ready for that.

 No.123497

>>123041

I have that second one. I needed to get four 70-lb sandbags to keep it still, especially when using resistance bands with it.

 No.123585

>>123497

Where can you get sandbags from? Home depot?

 No.123591

>>123585

Holy shit dude just get a burlap sack and fill it with dirt.
