This.
Norway has one of the highest food prices in the world. The taxes are insane too.
Moreover, there is not much to choose from and everything tastes bland. In one way it motivates one to eat healthier because good stuff like rice and frozen vegetables is affordable, relatively speaking. Landwhales always complain that healthy food is so expensive, to justify their being fat, but that's because they want to buy pre-mixed salads with fatty dressings.
They don't want to make an effort to cook rice and frozen vegetables, the lazy fucks. That's just about the only affordable food here, except noodle soup. Meat is crazy expensive too. Chicken, fish, pork and ground beef is somewhat affordable, but anything else is luxury-tier in terms of prices.
The food chains also fuck us over in that they cooperate about prices. The "competition" is just bullshit. They'll all raise prices like crazy before a simultaneous price drop to make the illusion of it being cheap, when it really isn't.
I'm on a bulk now and it fucking hurts my wallet every time I get groceries.
