if Lotus can find a guy who can bring an equal amount of money, I'm sure they will get rid of him quickly. He has possibly cost them more than he is worth.

I really want Grosjean to be at Williams, I think he can do a better job there than Massa, but Massa is also bringing money from Brasil there.

grosjean brings very little money from total. His backer at total died recently so it's not even clear that that's going to continue. Jolyon palmer brings more money than grosjean but is unproven. Maldonado has actually out paced grosjean this year in races except for his technical issues and crashes.

I don't think they'll quite do it yet. They may be making a similar threat, however, to Raikkonen a la Ferrari. "You're getting a renewed contract is contingent on you not sucking…" etc. Ofc I don't know when Maldonado's contract is over, but it would seem to be the most efficient way of dealing with a Crashtor.

to be fair pastor out qualified grosjean a few important times. He scored points at the usgp where grosjean did not (to be fair vergne did hit him). Pastor was on course for the points in abu dhabi and monaco and had an engine fire, and a did not start (renault problems) in both situations respectively.
