I have an opinion! You already know what it is from the title!

And I have an alternative in mind. Pic related. Full cockpit canopy like in a fighter jet. Not only would it look cool and be very safe but it would also improve aerodynamics. So why do the FIA go ahead with the Halo when there are better alternatives?

FIA go fuck yourselves. You killed Rally in the late 80s when you removed Group B, and for the past 20 years you've been killing Formula 1: V12, V10, V8, V6, V4, V2, V1, full electric merge Formula E1! Maybe even fucking worse, if you make the cars fully AI-controlled and completely remove the human drivers. At least then we could look forward to spectacular crashes. If of course the software allows it. Which you decide. Every now and then you ask the fans to vote which car should be crashed. Is that entertaining enough? Yasss? No! Fuck you!

The big picture is hopeless so back on topic in the little picture: fuck the halo, just use a jet canopy: looks, safety, aero.

two years back I was really getting into Formula, I torrented the seasons of the late 80's, early 90's, fell in love with the V12 of Alesi and Berger, and especially Hockenheimring, but the deeper I dug, the more I realized how utterly dogshit the modern formula is, and I just quit. Monza and Spa are still great courses, but the rest suck. The cars are so obviously shit that it goes without saying at this point. Realizing the fall from grace was a very depressing experience for me.
