Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but do you remember how Monza was gonna build a new chicane for just the motorbikes?
Yeah that chicane is now a permanent feature and curva grande is getting cut in half.
Some other changes but that is the main one. FOM forcing it on them basically.

>watch FIA promo video on YouTube for Monaco
>they mention the old Monaco 1988 "Senna was beating Prost by nearly a minute" circlejerk
What actually happened:
Prost got a bad start due to a problem getting in to second gear, and Berger with the inside line took second place. Since this is Monaco and you can't pass, Senna was free to romp away with Prost stuck behind Berger's much slower Ferrari on a track you can't pass, in an era without tyre or fuel stops.
54 laps later (of 78) Prost made it past Berger, and immediately started doing fastest laps. Senna responded, and they started trading fastest laps. The battle concluding when Senna made a mistake and put it in the wall.
Prost was never going to catch Senna, and if he did, he was never going to get past. Senna had nothing to gain by doing anything but cruising. But by manipulating Senna's obsession with always being the fastest, Prost forced Senna in to making a mistake which him the race.
The race doesn't show Senna being better than Prost as the ill-informed like to claim (it's pretty easy to beat someone up when their arms are being held behind their back). Rather, what it shows is the brilliant tactical mind of "the Professor" Prost, who was able to use Senna's own ego against him, to secure an impossible race win.

There is a few other changes.
Some corners will get a bit more tarmac runoff.
Some of the trees are getting cut down on the inside of the first Lesmo to increase visibility through the corner
Some modification of the line through ascari. Might be a bit quicker.
>>47700
No it's getting destroyed.
In all honesty that chicane has been terrible since it got made and the bikes hated it even more than the F1 cars.

But that was disgusting as well. Negative camber just makes it even harder to follow through that corner and get a run on the car in front.

Prost was absolutely based, and the fact that he used strategy to pressure Senna is true. He also used it at Monza that year.
But, it was his own fault he was behind Berger because he missed a gear. It was not mechanical, it was driver error.

>But, it was his own fault he was behind Berger because he missed a gear. It was not mechanical, it was driver error.
Agreed. Prost being behind Berger was his own fault. No excuses.
But the main point is, Senna wasn't 50 seconds ahead because he was an awesome Monaco god, it was because the only car that could compete with his rocketship McLaren, was the other McLaren, and it was stuck being a big red truck for three quarters of the race.
>vid related
Notice how this Senna documentary promo, frequently linked across the internet by Senna fanboys to prove how he was so much better than Prost, completely omits to mention that Prost was stuck behind Berger the entire time that gap was built, and just states:

>2.A.PROST
