going from v10's to pissant turbo v6's?

Is F1 also ruled by Eurocucks who see v10's as politically incorrect?

Just wait until they're inline 4's. The only way is down.

F1 has seen plenty of engines in both of those configurations. Now if you want to know why F1 has retarded rules, just go ask Bernie Ecclestone. His senile ass will gladly tell why he thinks his shit doesn't stink.

Bernie has been the strongest voice against (at least the engine) rules. Blame Jean Todt and add alex wurz to the blame list for supporting closed cuck-pits

you know that almost happened right? The engines we have now are a shitty compromise against the even shittier possibility of mandated 4 cylinders.

"environmental awareness" in sports is about as gay and PC as they come.

It happened in motocross when 2-stroke was banished for the same shit, never mind the minuscule impact a couple of dudes racing dirt bikes on occasion actually has on "global warming", if any at all.

I mean, compared to what's going on in the third world and the idea that every other dumbass should be able to commute 40 miles every day in a 6.0 liter V8, compared to the effect of that, what the hell is a few races out of the year?

I fucking hate liberals. I wanted to get into F1 because I've always been into cars and am looking something to do outside work, but low and behold, fucking sissy liberals have ruined this too. Pisses me fucking off.

"environmental awareness" is usually code for "it looks good for our shareholders and it stirs up the field in favor of a team that just happily handed me a fat stack of cash"

heres 2 cents from a stupid fuck

http://jalopnik.com/5660208/why-formula-one-needs-4-cylinder-turbos

Basically: the third world clamoring for American living standards (which are vanishing in America), "fuel scarcity", and environmentalist bullshit.

I have news for this moron: turbochargers marginally increase fuel efficiency relative to the power from a comparable n/a engine. Look at Ford's Ecotech bullshit. Their twin-turbo v6 model doesn't get any better gas mileage than the 5.0 V8. The Focus's turbo 4 cylinder gets about 24 mpg combined, which is pathetic.

The turbo is a fraud. I suspect manufacturers are rather using the subterfuge of "global warming" as an excuse to further ram down unit costs. No one notices because in the middle is a Sacred Cow, "the environment". Its cheaper to produce smaller engines with the same technology and then slap a turbo on top so no one notices.

I wouldn't be surprised is fuel is saved by going from 10 cylinders to a turbo 6, but within the context of the big bitch about fuel and environment the consequences are marginal considering that this is a **sport**

but the retard who wrote the above article probably speaks for the average idiot because he doesn't even go that in depth. Its just: well we need it, because current year! Literally, the dumbass says "we've been doing n/a for too long, CURRENT YEAR"

Don't give Gawker clicks you dumb-ass. As for turbocharging increasing fuel-efficiency, that depends on the level of boost, type of fuel and how lean of a mix the engine is running.

>jalopnik

>i get that you're knocking it but still

what you say makes sense save for the fact that adding a turbo or hybrid system (Which is the real crime here) is more expensive not less than building a naturally aspirated engine.

However, it is much harder to pass govt emissions standards without a turbo, as the turbo cools exhaust gasses. This is why there are so many *mild turbo* engines (think the large displacement mercedes engines that dont break 1 horsepower per liter despite twin turbos).

could not agree more. We do classic streams though, which you may enjoy as there are pre-cuck eras.
