I have a TL-WDR3600 which costs like 60 euros, handles about 900 Mbps over LAN (point to point transfer with CAT 5e cables on two W10 machines), has consistent WLAN performance with 8 stations connected nearly all day and even 2 USB ports for a cheap network backup setup.

Last place I lived was near the end of a dead end road in an industrial area, had one blue collar no fucks given guy about 200m away, and no one else for a kilometre. It was the shittest house I've ever lived in, but it's isolation was fucking great. Not only did we not bother to lock the doors, a lot of the time we wouldn't even be fucked to close them when we went out.
