Rfactor is semi competent. Need for speed shift 2 was a total cheese-for-tires fuckfest, but the polish tire mod makes it almost gran Turismo level (not that thats anything to aspire to).

To be fair, the williams was a bit of a dud that year and adrian newey was on the way out due to that and the awkward management structure shared between him, frank, and patrick head.
Also benetton/tom walkinshaw/flavio bought ligier the year before in a chassis more or less copied from benetton in order to have more milage of the chassis with the renault engine, which, while illegal, was actually a smart move.

don't really see the point tbh. it depends on what the steps between the compounds are but it's almost certainly worth just going with the two softest ones, unless it's something weird like SSS/S/M where the super duper softs would basically be quali tires.
