If the Renault deal goes through, then he is staying. If it falls through, he very well might be going to Hass. You have to understand that he would be going to an effectively backmarker team looking to only impress Ferrari and maybe have a shot at the Raikkonen seat. It is an extremely risky tactic.

That is a LONG shot. They might be using this season as a test bed for next years car but they just don't have the resources to pull a scalp like that. Look at Williams already barely hanging in there with the Mercedes pony in the back being their only saving grace.

With that massive fine, litigation and sue claims that are going to come their way, I think a safe assumption to make would be that they might have put that dream on ICE.
Redbull would get engines but they would not get factory parity which they want and Ferrari obviously don't want to give.
Honda has too much invested into this project and McLaren are also relying on Honda to pay parts of Alonso's salary, so you can see that both are co-dependent at the moment.
McLaren can't really let go of Honda as no one else would give them the factory status that Honda does now. Who would they turn to then? Peugot?

In all seriousness the ferrari B-team may be more stable than lotus, but it's almost certainly a step down. I recognize that he is going to seek the ferrari seat, but even so, this may not pan out. It's sad to see him leave lotus as that was clearly home for him.
