There's too much negativity and bitching on this board. So here's my question: What is the absolute best roleplay you've ever done?
For me, it was an after-combat scene between a Nonon Jakuzure player I adored and my Satsuki. It wasn't even anything hardcore or obscene. Just an affectionately lewd yuri scene with a lot of close contact, gentle kissing and toe nibbling from an austere warrior-queen who, in privacy, sought only to repair the emotional trauma left by her abusive mother by entering a caring, affectionate relationship with her tiny childhood friend who was utterly devoted to her with the purest fawning admiration for the real, emotional Satsuki and not the cold-hearted facade she presented to the rest of the world, like the little sister looking up to her that she never got to have.
I didn't even fap to it.

Most long-term yuri partners I've had have been amazing, admittedly sometimes the passion kinda dies out but nonetheless they've been great for at least a while, sometimes I feel pity for the people that say lesbians are boring, they're missing out.

The best session I've ever had was one that focused on a weird ass Cross-Ship. It was about Izuku Midoriya and Starfire.

I don't think I have any one partner who's the best ever but I have a few that are almost mindsearingly amazing due to their writing style/characters, the kinks that we're able to do and the natural bouncing back and forth. Probably my cleanest one; my Emperor character had just survived a crusade launched against him by allowing his weak lines to collapse so the enemy would overextend into unknown land, his land. He cut off the enemy's supply lines then, allowing them to be encircled and picked off at leisure until they submitted. Rather then execute them all however, he merely took that nations paladins hostage to train his own militia but one redhead paladin in particular, a storied one, caught his eye.
They had a really romantic dinner by candle light with her questioning how he could be such a bastard and him giving his explanations. It was the start of a fantastic Beauty and the Beast longterm RP with both of them slowly corrupting the other.

I mean, I can give it a go, but my best partner story ends kinda sad. Oh well, here goes.
So I had a character I made, a blue, who was pretty niche in terms of the kind of play I was looking for. He was indulgently but (I think) reasonably edgy and meant for dark fantasy play with lots of story and character interaction and build-up. I knew going into this I'd have a hard time finding someone who was both interest and a good partner, but I stayed optimistic. I got some play here and there, but nothing ever got finished, though a lot of that was my fault. I was still getting used to the nuances of F-list and pulled a few shitter mistakes, though not enough to get me a bad reputation.
Anyhow, I was getting better at actually trying to find play and not being a twit, but still had no luck. On the night I was seriously considering just deleting the character and starting with a new one who might actually get play, right before I logged off, I got a looong note from someone who, holy shit, what actually VERY interested in my character.
They were really polite and articulate about it, saying how much they loved the idea of my character and the kind of scenarios that could be done with him; how inspiring and whatnot. They wanted to do something super story-based with pretty much everything I had been wanting: deep plot and character development in a grim setting, etc. etc. I responded and let them know I'd be more than happy to set something up. So, not only did they enthusiastically bounce ideas with me until we came up with a good starting plot, but they made a whole new profile for the story. So we started it up (over Notes; I had a bad schedule) and it was just awesome, to say the least.
They were fantastic writers that delivered several paragraphs at a time, none of which ever felt repetitious or redundant. The interactions and dialogue between our characters was spot-on, and the dynamic they quickly started with was incredibly engaging. They were polite and modest and always apologizing about how long their replies were while constantly praising my responses, but I always made a point to encourage them cus I loved it. They were pretty much the perfect partner.
Then, like a jackass, I fucked it up. Not to get too bloggy, I was dealing with IRL bullshit that had me in no state to be ERPing, but I had let time go on too long before replying and was afraid that they'd get frustrated with me. So, instead of just letting them know that my replies my be a little delayed like an actual adult, I rushed out a totally shit reply that basically broke the scene, fucked up the whole pace of it, and rushed forward in a totally unexpected way. I didn't even bother proofreading it, but I sent a half-hearted reply following it saying something like "Oh, I just realized how much I high-jacked the scene there. If it's too much we can rewind and try again."
They reassured me it was fine and then followed up on plans I wanted to make to move from notes to the Chat that weekend. I gave them the times I'd be one, got on that weekend, and they never showed. No big deal, right? Well, of course I didn't think so. I flipped the fuck out and panicked, thinking that I had made them mad and drove them away and….never bothered messaging them to touch base. I was so damn anxious about just talking with them again that I straight up put off messaging them again for months afterward, and by the time I had thought maybe just messaging them would have been a better option, I figured the window had already passed and I should just leave them alone. Looking back on it, I can't believe the line of logic I followed.
So, in short, I ditched the best partner I ever had because I got socially retarded over what was probably nothing. I realize I got pretty negative toward the end, so I want to make a point to say that I'm not all that sad about it, just regretful. They were a fantastic partner and I hope they're having fun with whatever they're doing. Sorry if this was too much of a downer for the thread, but it's nice to talk about.

In this instance, I was playing a tough girl. She was 6'3", mostly toned muscle, from an unspecified foreign country, covered with scars from manual labor, and a total tomboy. She was also cold, in the sense that she didn't think before talking and was used to being bullied, and while she liked doing fun stuff, she didn't open up about her past at all. She was kind of Brienne of Tarth plus Tommy Wiseau, if that makes sense. Lets call her B.
And my partner was more of an everygirl (so lets call her E). The player's original character was fantasy based, so there were a few adaptation changes. She was an upper-middle class girl who wanted to be an independent woman, but just had no idea how to do it. So she was feeling all the pressures of work, dating, and being way lower on the totem pole than she used to be.
So we had our two mismatched heroines, and put them together as coworkers, with B feeling like she's the "weird one" and being always defensive and E trying to climb the corporate ladder and prove herself to everyone. So, obviously, they immediately get on each other's nerves and are constantly trying to avoid each other, but they work in the same unit and have to constantly interact. Eventually, they get so bad around each other that they are given an ultimatum to either go to a cohesion workshop together or find another job. B opts to quit, but it's made clear that E will get fired anyway if they both don't go, so she gets doe-eyed and begged to stay. She gives in.

So at this point we've gone through like 3 roleplays that are like five hours each. So, time for the sex, right? NOPE! They go through the workshop and get to know each other way better. B lets her guard down a bit, and E realizes that she's not a big fish in a small pond anymore. They also learn from each other, in a very After School Special sort of way. So they become work friends, where they are totally in sync when they're together, but they don't hang out outside work at all. They have conversations about life during their breaks and lunch, but that's about it. Now of course there's a whole lot more to it than this simple explanation. We go into depth about their feelings, about their routines, and all the little shit they do like avoiding or making eye contact. They both have a lot more going on in their heads than they let out.
So after a long, long, really long set up of these two characters getting to know each other and becoming established as consistent, feeling characters, we finally get to the point where they get intimate. They go to the office Christmas party and get drunk, and go back to E's place because it's closer. While there, B admits that she is thinking of getting a new job, and E breaks down. B comforts her, and the two finally kiss for the first time. Fade to black.
No, really. After a whole week of setup for this rp, we opt to leave their first time together ambiguous. After their kiss, we go straight to the next morning where B and E both wake up naked. The two were both super drunk, after all, so all they have are faint, fuzzy memories. And understandably, they both wake up confused and scared because as far as they know, this is the first time they've seen each other naked, or even really outside of work. B, who has body issues thanks to her size and the scars, fucking bolts out half dressed and doesn't answer any of her calls. They go to work on Monday and barely make eye contact.
Eventually they agree to meet up for coffee. We have the two reconcile what happened and they both admit that they really, really like each other, but they're both terrified. B has deep intimacy issues that go beyond gender, but E is terrified of what it means to be gay. They opt to give it a try, though make it really low key, and then we send them on a date to the movies where E clutches B's arm the whole time. They go back to B's place, which is barren except for abed and a kitchen and a few pictures and plants (contrasted with E's lavishly decorated studio apartment) and they get intimate. Now, finally, after fucking weeks of my partner and I setting up these characters, we actually ERP. And it is fucking glorious. Since we've fleshed the characters out so well, we're able to play off of each other super easily. My partner gives me cues, and I jump on them, and we have the two eat carpet like starved moths.
After that, it shifted into a more conventional ERP, with all the taboos of being lesbians in modern America. E introduces B to her parents, they have an awkward dinner, and then the two fuck in E's childhood bed. By a stroke of sheer luck Obergefell V Hodges happens while we are playing together, so we have the two debate whether or not to go celebrate and what it means for them (and then they fuck). And of course, they just fuck because they realize they actually love each other.
My partner and I had almost no chemistry OOC, which was a good way to keep the characters separate from reality, but the sheer fact that we were able to set up this relationship for so long without just doing a cut to them fucking in the breakroom was astonishing. Unfortunately I'm no longer a NEET, so that'll never really happen again, but it was great while it lasted.

I have a few people who are dear to me, even though some of them aren't around any more or don't do RP any more.
One person played an alien character, and was into insane amounts of transformation and unrealistic stuff. I got into so much stuff because of her, and every play we did was satisfying. One day she got banned, and just stopped doing stuff. (She had someone login as her and help her edit the profile, and the accounts were considered "connected")
Another person is someone who did some really weird and gross things with me, but it was all fun. They moved away from ERP to focus on their artwork which they post on hentaifoundry. (Emmapresents in case anyone is curious).
Last person who is someone I've been doing stuff with is someone I met from MSPARP/MXER and were both into pretty much everything. Likes getting violent, pushing limits, and has no fear in trying anything new. We do stuff like once a week, for 3-4 hours at a time.
Now, I'm not going to say that every RP we've had was great in terms of writing quality or anything like that. They were just casual little things that I enjoyed getting into whenever we saw each other online.
