Ritsu is still the best K-ON though

I don't think it is as free as the movies make it out to be. It's still very free, more free than any country in europe, I believe. Certain people are more free than others, due to certain issues, like the groups who fight for 'their rights'. It also depends where you live, California is much more authoritarian than Nebraska or Mississippi, which are insignificant states for the most part. There are many more factors.
tl;dr Not as free as the movies make ot out to be, but close.
How is Slovenia in that regard?

It's not as free I as would want to, but I guess it could be worse. It seems like a lot of people, most of them really don't mind it and are supporting almost every government program even though it results in less personal freedom. There is no such thing that simply opening your own business and hiring someone, you have to go through tons of paperwork and pay all kinds of taxes and follow a lot of regulations. It discourages young people to be entrepreneurs and the government is trying to fix that with adding even more regulations. I would like a smaller government, but what can I do…

It felt like it was two or three days. The dream started in a poor school, dirty and poorly lighted. There's a girl, she's perfect, she's adorable. I want to talk to her, but I put it off a day. Next day I'm asking everyone where she is, quite sad, since it seems I will never see her again. The last day I am miserable, I go to a very strange store. It had groceries and a place where they had puppies in a strange compartment and someone taking care of them. It ended with me petting a puppy and thinking about the girl, quite sad.

Yeah, me too, my grandparents lived in one. Even though it was renovated to look new, it was still soulless but the elevator was still this old rusty box and made really scary sounds when moving. I was scared going to the basement since there was only one light so it was dark and kind of cold and moist, plus you could hear weird noises down there, I suspect those were echoing of elevator noises.

Same, exhausted by driving the whole morning. It went well, nothing broke lucky. I like it, the house is worse than the one I used to live in, but it's in a small quiet village, when before I was living in the suburbs. I still need to unpack and everything, but I think I will do that in the evening since I'm quite tired now.

I know how pathetic this sounds and I know how pathetic I am, so sorry anon in advance for being this way. I got "catfished", my life has always been pathetic and quite lame and I never had anyone who would really care about me, until this person walking into my life almost a year ago. I felt happy for the first time, I even felt in love as sad as that sounds, I wanted to dedicate my life to this person. Nothing matter anymore as long as we had each other and now realising it was all fake broke me, it broke me in more ways that I could imagine. I don't know anymore, I'm sure some random anons who might check this thread every once in a while are laughing at me, but I don't care about that, I just want to go back to where I tought that person was real and that there was someone who cares about me. The worst part is that I can't be mad at the person who tricked me, I can't hate him, I forgive him, but it hurts me that this had to happen, I wish I never felt that happy so that I wouldn't be this sad now, I can't even finish this post without crying, I'm sorry anon, I'm pathetic.

I don't think you're pathetic. You were in love, but you were fooled. Sure you are hurt now that it is over and you became aware, but does that really make it fake? I don't think so, since you did feel love, you did have the comfort of someone caring about you. I don't think many people would do something different, it just hasn't happened to most people. You aren't any more pathetic than the common man. I think you shouldn't take a break from living because of this, just keep doing what you would normally do. Hopefully you won't get fooled again.

I am still not sure if I want to be in the medical field. I may just try to be an engineer, as it seems like it would be the best fit for my skills. I don't know if I would feel satisfied as an engineer, but I don't know if I could deal with the stress of being a hospital worker. I think I would want to work with the elderly, because I think that the elderly are interesting, as you can get insights into life, the past, and future. I feel that the elderly would be much easier to deal with. I may decide to become a nurse, so I can move between areas whenever I want. Also, if I am to be honest, I am not in college yet. I'm quite young. I'm going to be hit with a solar eclipse soon, so that should be neat.

I went to the forest earlier and saw marks from boars, this alone isn't anything unusual, but later while I was walking I heard this strange noise, I'm not sure how boars sound, but I think it was them, I was quite scared so I quickly left the forest. But something even scarier happen while taking the walk, I realised I'm losing eyesight fast, I certain that even last week I saw better, yes my eyesight was never perfect, far from it. But now it's getting dangerously close to needing to wear glasses all the time, and I'm getting there super fast. I'm feeling a bit sad because of it, I guess I need to inform my doctor about this next time I see him.

Well I only went to primary school and high school so I can only tell you for those. In the last year of primary school you have to take a test in math, Slovene which is like you said basically a literature class and a third subjct that is selected by the country, they switch every year, I got history. This might have changed by now and I don't remember very well how those test were, but their results are important since it's one of the things high schools look at when you try to sign into one.
In high school you hate to take literature class, math or English (I took English), a class about what the school was about, in my case computer class and finally you have to make a project. There are two parts of the test, first you take the test itself and then later another day you have to "defend" it in front of three teachers who also ask you adicional questions. I have to say, I'm not a smart guy, I would say I'm average at best and I do mean at best. And I passed English and literature with all points, even got a additional points for being 100%, it was that easy, I honestly couldn't believe it how easy it was, on a computer test I did alright, but not perfect since I didn't study at all. As for the project, teachers put out this topics for a project you have to make and you pick one, since I'm as lazy as you can be and I postpone everything to the very last day, I got the topic that noone else picked and was the only one left. Again it took me a long time to make it, well not really I made it in like 2 days, but it took me for like a year to get motivated enough to do it, but I did very well at the end I think.
You have to pass all the classes for the ability to take this tests, if you fail a class like I did you have to fix the grade there first. If you want you can guess which class I failed, I'll give you a hit, you probably never met a person that failed this class, at least I never have.

That's very strange for me, as in the U.S. you just get stuck in the nearest school, and if you're lucky they have something you're interested in as an elective. Then you have to take 4 English classes, 2 foreign language classes (French, German, or Latin, if you get lucky), 4 math classes, 2 Physical Education classes, 4 lab science classes, and I do believe you have to take 4 history classes. What spaces that are left are your electives, which you get about 2 per year. All the classes have midterms and finals, which are made by the teacher. I'm guessing you failed literature, because honestly, you seem better at english than most americans.

Ohh that's kind of lame, here you can pick any high school you want to as long as you reach the grade requirements of the school. You have general high school that are kind of like primary school, they teach you everything and you have high school specialsy in a particular profession, from doctor to cook. It branches even more in college and later in university. Most students here go to college and university, I would even say that there are more young people with university diploma then the ones with just high school one.
You think my English is good? Thank you, but it seems very poor to me, I have a very limited vocabulary I feel and I make a ton of grammar mistakes. To be honest I learned 99% of English on the computer and tv.
No I was pretty good at literature. I failed gym class, yes really. It postponed my final exams for like a year. It was stupid, the teacher didn't like me very much and made sure I fail, but I don't blame him.

I think a choice in high schools is a good system, as it seems like it would be much more focused than being tossed into a school with a bunch of people who don't care or want to be there.
My parents didn't even get through high school. I dont think most people their age did. College does seem more common here too.
Yeah, I think your English is pretty good. It doesn't really matter where you learned it. Of course it's not perfect, but that's fine since nobody's english is perfect. Vocabulary isn't very important unless you're a writer. If you use a wide vocabulary always, you'll look like an idiot or a loser.
I never really had trouble with gym class, but I got out of it before I had to swim. The teachers really didn't care what you did. We would go out to the track or a field, and me and my friends would just walk. I would run every so often and jump hurdles though.
I don't like teachers who give grades for anything over performance, like your gym teacher, since it's very unfair.

You didn't have to do anything here either, you would just change into shorts and sit on the bench until it's over and that was it. There reason why I failed was like I said the teacher didn't like me very much, he was my "form master" is this the right word? I'm not even sure if you have them? It's a teacher who is responsible for a class, when you get sick you go to him and hand him this apologize letter that your parents wrote why you were absent and he would "apologise" your missing hours, if you just skip school he wouldn't apologise those hours and after you collected like 30 of un apologises hours you would be expelled. I skipped school all the time since I don't like it, I find it very hard to learn in school since the teachers don't show any interest in the topic they are learning and my schoolmates weren't the nicest. The last two years of schooling there was not a single week where I was in school for all 5 days, I would skip a day or two every week, but I had permission to write my own apologise letters so I would write them and my form master would have to apologise me. He was mad at me and gave me a bad grade at gym class and I failed.
I don't know why I dislike school so much, I honestly don't like going there. I signed up for college and quitted super fast, if you want you can guess how long it took me to quit, I think it has to be close to the record. I'm not proud of it, but I just can't attend schools. I never had serious problems with grades, just with going to the school itself.

In the U.S. it's the school's administration who deals with absences. The proper word is an excuse. The worst that will happen if you get too many absences is you get in school suspension. If you don't get absences excused, you get arrested and fined. It sucks when your teachers don't care for teaching. I have a teacher like that now, but fortunately I was far ahead of everybody. The teacher who I have in the medical classes isn't a trained teacher, but she was a nurse. She is great at teaching anyway. My peers seem to like me quite a bit, but I am a bit paranoid about them. I don't miss much school, but some weeks I really don't want to go at all. I just suck it up. I know I won't quit college, since it is very expensive here. My state lets people go to community colleges and technical schools free, though. I think it is open to all, but I am not certain. I understand your reasons though.

It's rare to see anything military related here, surpisingly enough. I think the most common things are sabres from the american civil war. You don't usually see things from any other war, since they didn't take place here. It's all very expensive, too. There was a U.S. army helmet, It was quite expensive. My guess was that it was from the 50's-60's. It's the only one I've ever seen. I saw something pretty cool, it was a wehrmacht officer hat. It was very expensive though, at about $490, or €438.25. I doubt I would ever find any WWI things here. Surprisingly there are quite a few tanks for sale, though, and cheaper than I would've thought.

Wow that is expensive, I looked at the prices here and German WW2 helmets are about 30$, uniforms are a bit more expensive but still under 200$. Kind of interesting that US helmet was that expensive all the Yugoslavian things here are half free, but I guess that's also because no one identifies as a Yugoslav anymore. I've also looked at how much weapons costs and they are not that expensive, I imagine it's because you have to have a licence for collecting and so there isn't a large market for them. But you have to be careful when buying since a lot of them were converted to the standard Yugoslav cartridge so they are not all original anymore, but you can also find a lot of originals without a major problem. That's cool that you can buy a tank, it must be cool being a kid and having a tank in your backyard.

How was your walk? Was it a walk in a forest or just a walk along a road? It always sucks when it is hot. It's been around 27-28° nearly everyday for the past month, and it's still going to get hotter.
I had an interesting dream last night. I don't think there was any sort of message, and it was in two unrelated parts. The first part was about the girl I like. I forgot the first part, I think I may have been spending time with my friends. The girl was at my house for some reason. I asked her if she actually did like me, and wasn't just trying to be nice. She said yes, we hugged. Then I woke up, it was a dream within a dream. I was at my house, but the rooms were quite different. Once again the girl was at my home, for some reason, and I asked her if she liked me. I was much more mean and aggressive, and she said that she didn't like me anymore.
Now for part two. I woke up, there was no dream for that, and all my close family was there. We were going to a public pool. The pool was pretty odd, as it was just in an empty field, and was pretty small. It had a normal park bathroom for america, which isn't very nice at all. There was a helicopter, and we all rode in it for a minute, it was a little red thing. Then I decided to sit by the pool, since it was too deep for me to do in anyway. There was an african-american family. They weren't watching their kid, and he was trying to steal things. I stopped him for a little bit, but he kept on trying. We start shoving eachother, then he starts doing something, like grabbing my arms weird, so he could break them. I punched him in the face, and we both ended up on the ground. I was on top the whole time, and I kept punching him in the face. He punched me quite a few times too, but he was quite weak. Eventually I knocked him out, and his family finally noticed him. They were angry so I shouted to them, "Don't steal things!".
Then I actually woke up and wrote this post.

What kind of games have you been playing? If you like radio, there is a website called "radio.garden" that allows you to listen to radio stations from all over the world, I quite like it, I find it very interesting to explore foreign stations.
My walk was fine, thank you. I live near the border so I went to the monument that is set up there, it's a path in a forest so it isn't so hot there. I like walking through the forest since it's very relaxing and you can hear all kind of animal noises.
You had interesting dreams, the second part was probably just a random meaningless dream, but still I imagine it was a bit unsettling. As for the first part, I'm not dream expert and I'm sorry if I'm saying the wrong things, but I feel like you're thinking too much about this girl, well not about her, but about if she really likes you or not and are scared that she might not like you. I think your worries are for nothing, since I don't see why she wouldn't really like you, I think there is a lot about you to like and love, so don't worry about it so much. Again I'm sorry if I'm saying things that don't make sense.

I've been playing Civilization 5, mainly because it doesn't need my full and constant attention. I think I will check that website, it seems very interesting. I've always enjoyed walking through forests. I used to live right next to one of the U.S.'s national forests. It was always quite beautiful, since the trees were very tall and there weren't many bushes, so it was like a huge field of dead leaves and pine needles. Do you live in a mountainous area? I know that Slovenia is a mountainous country in some places. I really enjoy mountains, since they can be a bit foggy and sometimes have a bit of water flowing down, it can be very beautiful.
You're probably right about the dream, I do think I've been worrying too much. I disguise it as me not caring if she doesn't, but I obviously do. I think about her way too much too. The thing is that there is another guy who likes her. He is a bit of a jerk, and quite immature. I'm his friend or whatever, but I don't care for him much. My way of thinking is that if she does go for him, then I'm not for her, and she isn't for me either.
I really must be honest, I'm am usually a jerk when around her, or I tell jokes at my expense. I've always done this when I'm around someone I want to impress, or to keep myself from being a total outcast. I really hate it, because I just want to be honest about my feelings, and I want people to know the real me.

Yes I love forest and mountains as well, unfortunately I don't currently live in a mountain area. I probably live in the most flat part of the country, but there are still hills all over, but I do miss mountains. If you remember when I told you I used to explore a WW2 bunker, that was near my old grandfathers house, that was on top of a smaller mountain, it was great, I'm very sad he sold it. Here are two pictures I took a week ago in a near by village, my house is 15 minutes of walk away in the middle of nowhere.
You're very much right about the girl I think, like you said if she prefers that guy then she is not for you, but I'll be hoping for the best.
I think it would be nice to be who you are so that others would see that you're very kind and if someone doesn't like you for being nice and kind then I feel their opinions don't really matters.
So how is your day going so far?

Wow, it seems like a very beautiful place. So open, so many old buildings that aren't mass-produced. It's also so clean looking. Where I live is quite flat too, but it's not a well maintained area. All the buildings are boring and falling apart. There are these huge barns that look like you could just push it over. There are also roads absolutely everywhere, and they are in awful condition.
Thank you anon. You've been very kind. I am very glad I started talking to you. It's been 3 months of talking daily today, which I think is quite crazy. Thank you for being my friend.
You're definitely right that I should be myself, and I don't know why I don't.
My day has been alright, they are playing some songs you wouldn't usually hear on the radio since it's the 50th anniversary of a famous album today, so that's pretty nice. That's really what I've been doing with my day. I don't think I'll be so hard on myself about not being very productive, since it is a break from school, so my day has been quite good so far.

I guess it is nice, it's very peaceful and most of the people here are nice and take care of the environment. But this is how most of the country looks like, there are no big cities like you can see in the US, even the capital is no more than a larger town.
You're very welcome, but in truth it's me who has to thank you, so thank you for being my friend anon!
I'm glad you've enjoyed your day and don't feel to bad about not being too productive, like you said, it's a break from school and they are meant for relaxing and having fun. I am sorry I am late. I read your post when I woke up, but I didn't have time to make a reply. I went fishing with my dad on his boat, and his engine went out in the middle of the lake, so it was a while before we could leave and go home. I got pretty burnt too.
I really hate big cities. They are ugly and filthy. They are dangerous and don't have much to do if you aren't rich. I prefer the village and small town much more.
Your welcome, my friend, and thank you for being so kind.

I'm sorry to hear that you got sunburned, but other then that was it fun? You know I have never gone fishing myself, there is a lake nearby, but you need a licence and equipment that I don't have. I still like going there just looking at the swans and ducks, it's a nice trip with a bike and the lake is mostly empty, I mean there is no one here besides me most of the time.
I agree on cities and now with the internet you don't even need to go there to shop since you can order things to your home.

Yeah, I had a fun time, but my knees were burned so bad it hurts to walk. You need licensing here too, for a boat and to fish, but my father hasn't bothered to get the licenses.
The lake is a bit far, and it's usually quite busy. It has pretty scenery though. Along the lake is a large field used for farming, and at the end of the field are these hills that look like the sides have been carved off. It's hard to tell though, since it's covered with trees. The lake is a weird shape, and isn't natural. There are trees and grass coming out of the water. This is because it was made by a dam.

I don't care much about the heat. This one time, about a year ago, I think, I walked about 12.5 miles, or just over 20 km, in the mid-summer heat with my friend. We stopped a few times for water. We didn't have money, so we couldn't get bottled water. Most places didn't have water fountains, so we had to go into the bathroom and drink from the faucet. There wasn't much shade, since the walk was right beside a highway. I think we were out there for about 6 hours.

It has been fine, I had a chicken soup earlier too. It's raining here for a few hours now and it looks like it will rain all night, I don't mind though, I actually like when it rains at night and I can hear the rain drops, I feel more relaxed. The water supply service or how they are called are upgrading the pipes this week, I've got a mail last week that I can expect some minor problems with how the water works this week. So now for about 2 hours I'm out of water and I can't brush my teeth before bed, but hopefully they will fix it until tomorrow and I won't need to call them, but I have the feeling they will forgot about this house and I'll be forced to call.

I like the rain too. It is quite nice and relaxing. It also makes it less bright outside, because the clouds block the sun.
It must be pretty annoying to not have water at unscheduled times. Here in the U.S., water pipes usually don't get improved. If there is work being done with water pipes, it's usually that they want to pump from a new cheaper source. Then they cut corners with the pipes, and don't really care about the quality of the source, and that causes issues for the people using the water. It's okay though, because some money was saved. I hope you won't have to call, since that seems like a very unpleasant experience.
I responded quite late, but I don't think it really matters either way, since you probably would've gotten to it tomorrow. I was quite distracted.

I had another somewhat interesting dream. It took place in a building that was very familiar to me. The main room was the same as a house I lived at in the past, and the kitchen was my current kitchen. There was something like a party, but it was more like people just spending time with each other. Someone made me macaroni and cheese, but it was quite gross. For some reason people were watching anime in the main room, but no-one there seemed to be the kind of person who would like to watch anime. There were people I knew and didn't know. I saw some people playing some board game off to the side, so I thought I would play the game with them. They restarted, since it was only a few people playing already. By the time the game was set up again, the event was ending. There were three people I didn't know, and they made fun of me because I waddle. I don't actually waddle though. I got pretty mad and started shouting. The event now ended and I was outside. I had to get on a bus, but I didn't know what bus to ride. I went on a bus and looked to see if I saw anyone familiar, but I didn't. Then the dream ended.

The lucky thing is that the records that were damaged were my least favorites, or that I have a second copy. It still sucks, since there were two that I really liked that got ruined. I did enjoy my walk. It was a bit warm, but there was a cool breeze. A strange man stopped and offered me a ride. I don't think he had bad intentions since he was going somewhere with his kids, but you can never be sure. I said no because I didn't have any use for a ride anyway. I would love to share the pictures with you.

Thank you for sharing, it looks very nice and quiet. It's kind of similar to where I live, but with no houses. I need to take more walks like that, most of the time when I go for a walk I just go to the forest behind my house and nowhere new or far. I think I'll start cycling more next week, this pictures kind of inspired me to explore more.

There are houses, just not in the pictures. I really didn't want to get houses in the picture, or cars. One of the roads is pretty busy since it leads right to a major highway.
Honestly I'm a bit scared to walk in the fields since I might get lost or shot. I would get ticks too, and ticks scare me a bit. It was quite far though. A few miles down the road. I have another picture that I couldn't share in the last post since it went over the file size cap.

The roads look very maintained and in a nice condition, much better than the ones here.
You can get shot? People would do that? I mean I get it some may not like someone trespassing, but they would shot someone for that? A bit over the line if you ask me.
Ticks are scary, unfortunately I almost always get them when I go to the forest or across a field, but luckily I haven't got sick from them so far. My grandfather did though, I'm not sure what was the disease he got, but he passed away because of it. Not immediately, it took around 8 years or something like that, but those were hard years for him, I really felt sorry for him.
Weather today is very nice here, it's sunny, but not hot. I'm still a bit sick so I don't have the energy to go anywhere, but I wish I did, hopefully this weather will last.

These roads are in good condition, but that's because they aren't used very much. When you get close to the highway, the roads get awful.
Well, yes, you could get shot if you trespass, or if a drunk hillbilly thinks you're trespassing. It's just a part of living where I do, I guess.
Hopefully you won't get sick from ticks. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your grandfather. It's never any good to be killed by something over a long period of time.
It's really nice here today too. The weather is similar to yours.
I was talking to /kind/'s board owner last night and he somewhat suggested that we should find a different way to communicate, rather than just on /cute/. It's all up to you though.

I'm sorry for a bit of a late reply, my family came to visit me and I had to mow the lawn, it's hard since my lawn mower is old and not very good and even more annoyingly there are a lot of molehills.

My lawn mower isn't very good either, and it is very difficult to get it in the garage. It's a riding mower, but it can't reverse since it's broken.
I'm alright with continuing here too.
I haven't done anything yet today. I layed in bed for about 4 hours, and been out of bed for about 30 minutes.

I never drove one of those, I have one of those that you have to push yourself, but the wheels are a bit broken so I it's hard to push is sometimes. I also have one of those two wheel tractors, I think that's what they are called, it has this attachment for the grass and it almost drives itself, you just have to walk behind it. But it's constantly breaking down and I don't know how to fix it.
Like I said I'm happy with anything you pick.
Nothing wrong with that, I enjoy lying in my bed for hours sometimes as well. Hopefully the rest of your day will be great.

My parents actually just got a new mower today. It's quite fast apparently. It sounds like really hard work mowing the lawn with a mower like that. I hope you don't have to mow very much.
I guess we will stick around here then.
My day turned out alright. I went with my father to get some pizza, but we went too fast and got pulled over. The officer was nice though, since the ticket would've costed $500, but he wrote a lower speed. It's still quite a bit of money lost.

That's nice, I hope it will make it easier for you to drive now. Don't worry, I don't have to mow that much, I just do it around the house, it's about 3h of work, so nothing to complain about. Most of the lawn is mowed by a farmer with his tractor since the terrain is not completely flat and it's too big for me do it by hand. It's a win - win situation since he mows it for free, but he gets to keep all the mown grass for his animals.
Ok, but if you change your mind just let me know.
I'm sorry to hear that you got pulled over and got a ticket, but like you said at least the officer was nice and you got some pizza which is always great.

My day has been alright, nothing special. I didn't do much, but I did found old binoculars and I had fun watching birds with it, there is a lot of falcons here and they make really cool noises, I saw two today, I assume a mother and her child since one was quite smaller. There is an old abandoned house near me, every once in a while I go there and looked at it, but I never get to close, I kind of wish to go explore it once, but if I'm being honest I'm a bit scared and I don't know how rude would that be since it's not mine.

It's not rude to explore somewhere abandoned, since it's nobody's property. Just be careful that there isn't anything living in there, and watch where you're walking and where you're touching.

That's cool, I've never seen a vulture since we don't have them here and other birds seem very cute. Here there are also a lot of owls, swallows and doves.
I know the lady that was the owner, well maybe not know her, but know of her. She is still alive, but in a mental institution, as far as I know she has been there for many years now and since she doesn't have close relatives the house will becae goverments property when she dies, but until then it will just slowly fall apart. Sometimes I pass the house and get spooked, since there are deers living there and you can hear some pretty weird noises.
How is your day anon?

I don't think we have many owls here. We definitely don't have any doves or swallows. I like doves though. Birds are nice in general I guess.
I see. Usually if there's an abandoned building here, it doesn't belong to anyone. I wouldn't go into anywhere if somebody owned it, even if it's not inhabited. It's alright if you get spooked. I'd be scared too. I get scared pretty easy though, like this one time I was walking home pretty late at night. I was anxious about every little thing. I couldn't stop looking over my shoulder. Wild animals scare me quite a bit too, since they are really unpredictable.
I didn't really like today. Saturday is usually the day when I would do something or go somewhere with somebody. I was supposed to go to a cave with my mother, but she ended up going to get some baby cows. Then I didn't have dinner until quite late, and dinner was pretty bad too. There were other minor things I did like either.

I'm like that as well, especially when I go to sleep and I hear all kinds of noises and wood cracking I can't help, but think about someone breaking into the house or just walking around it.

I'm sorry about my extremely late reply today. I've been surprisingly busy. Right when I woke, I went out to get a rifle, then I had to go help my father collect hay.
I really hate odd noises in the night. I have dogs and the floor is wood, so you can hear their nails on the floor when they walk.

That's fine, no need to be sorry. I'm very happy you had a nice day. What kind of rifle did you get? I have a bit of an interest in military stuff, but since we have strict weapon laws owning one is very unrealistic for me, I can't afford the licence. Yeah. I really need to start driving more, but I have to do it with an adult over 21 who has a driver's license themselves, and I really don't have that opportunity for half the week. A driver's license is pretty nice since it doubles as an ID.

It can be pretty scary to drive on public roads though. What if someone isn't paying attention? I don't think you should worry too much about this though, since I don't think there is much traffic around you. That's just an assumption though. I think the first drivers license you get is free, but you have to get a new one every 10 years or something. Then it costs $15-20 I think.

Agree, I wish it was cheaper and easier to get, now as far as I know it costs around 2000€ and above to get it, depends on the type of the licence and you have to wait a long time to get it even after you payed and passed all the tests.
Yes, you're right, there isn't a lot of traffic here, but I still fear I might hit someone or something like that, I don't know how would I live knowing I hurt someone or even worse killed, even if the accident wouldn't be my fault I would still feel terrible. But yes, I should still gather the courage and try and get the licence when I'll have the money.
It's free? That's neat and even those 20$ isn't much. Here driving licence costs around 1400€, it depends on how good of a driver you are and how confident the instructor is in you.

I don't know. That's just really annoying.
I think I'd be okay if I hit someone with a car. With myself, anyway. I remember when I was younger, I did something really mean and messed up because this kid made me mad. He stuck a banana down my jacket sleeve. I won't say what I did, but if I wasn't a little kid I'd be a felon and a registered sex offender. I really wasn't phased about what I did, and I never really felt bad at all, for anyone on the receiving end of what I did. Some kids gave me respect, and this police officer gave me his business card. I got even more respect from the same kids since the officer specialized in drug enforcement. Those kids thought I did drugs. Good luck with building the courage though. I'm sure it would be nice to have the freedom to drive whenever you want, wherever you want.
It sucks that a drivers license is so expensive there. I really don't understand why they would have it like that.

I'm playing Emerald currently, I tired VGA before, but I had a problem with it, I don't remember what it was. I won't change it for this game, but since it's only for GBA games I'll have to when I'll try gen 4.
Herons live here as well, they mostly stay at the other side of the lake, I think there is more fish there. I don't know about Canadian geese, but even the regular ones that live here can be crazy and the noises they make are quite terrifying. We don't have any turtles, but we do have a lot of frogs here, when there is a breeding season they cross roads in big numbers and sometimes the roads have to be closed of for a short time. There are also storks here, since there are a lot of frogs and they eat them. They nest on top of tall object, mostly house chimneys, even the chimney in this house has a abandon nest on it. People in villages build nests for them on tall poles so that they wouldn't go to their chimneys.

What's your team? I don't really choose a particular starter, since I like all three. Then I usually catch an aron, a sableye, and a trapinch. So that's what makes my team for most of the game.
That's a lot of frogs. Here you can see the occasional toad, but rarely any real frogs. Up north there are more toads and frogs. The first house I lived in had these little tiny toads that would make noises not to different from a cricket. They were very fun to catch. Turtles are neat though. Since they are actual reptiles and not amphibians they have to sun themselves to stay warm, so they just pile on top of logs, and you see large amounts of turtles on top of eachother. I've never seen a stork, so I didn't know how they nested. That's pretty cool though. It's nice that the villages build nests for them, since I imagine it's dangerous for everyone if the nests are on the chimneys.

I usually go with a water one, but I also like all three. I'm not far into the game enough to catch Trapinch, but I do have Sableye and Aron, I never train Aron enough to fully evolve him, I usually just end up teaching him HMs and using him to crush those rocks.
We have some toads here as well, one of them lived in my basement, it was really fat, but it's gone now, I don't know what happened.
I didn't know that about turtles, I don't even remember seeing one in nature now when I think about it, I must have saw at least one I'm sure, but I don't have any memory of it.

I decided to play through Emerald again. My current team is Mudkip, Ralts, and Shroomish. I plan on catching a Numel and a Spheal later, but I just finished the first gym. Zubat is good, but it can be annoying to evolve Golbat into Crobat. I don't really like The Seedot family, so I usually go with Shroomish as a grass type. It comes with effect spore, which is great, and ot evolves into Breloom which is a very underrated pokemon. I usually end up catching Rayquaza right before the pokemon league, or even the last gym. I thought that you had to for a very long time. Zigzagoon is really good for teaching HM's. I don't really catch too many pokemon until the very end where I try to fill up the pokedex as well as I can. You can get patches for the gen 4-5 games where you can actually catch all the pokemon, but it also makes the game much harder.
I remember when I was really young I went to this nature reserve with my class, and there was this big bullfrog. He was huge, and scary. I thought he would attack if you got near. Yeah, turtles are pretty neat, but snapping turtles are scary. Snapping turtles are actually really quick, so you should avoid them whenever you can.
I imagine it's pretty funny and pretty cute seeing the baby storks.
I don't think I've ever seen a pheasant, unless you count a peacock as a pheasant. They are closely related.

I think I might add that I beat the Pokemon League, and Breloom wasn't all that helpful because it's movepool is awful. Walrein was probably the best pokemon I had for those fights. Breloom was great for a while, but it's moves really held it back. It's attack is really high, but that's about it. I'd definitely suggest adding a Walrein to your team later on. My team is (from best to worst) Walrein, Gardevoir, Swampert, Camerupt, and Breloom. I didn't feel like training a sixth team member, which would've beem Crobat, because I have no poison or flying types on my team.

Wow you already beat the Pokemon League, I'm just about to go to the 5th gym. I always manage to evolve Zubat all the way to the Crobat, it usually happens around level 30. I need to catch a fighting type Pokemon since the 5th gym has normal type Pokemons. I like Machop, but it's very annoying that you can't fully evolve him without a trade.
I never saw a snapping turtle before, just those small pet ones. I had to Google it and I have to say I'm quite surprised how big it is, much bigger that I thought, I wouldn't want to get near one if I saw it. Just how fast are they?
I guess you could, I think they both behave similar, but peacocks have much prettier tail. Speaking of birds there was an eagle on my roof today, I don't know what he was doing there, but I fear she might hunt that cat and she wasn't here last night since she didn't eat the food, I just hope everything is fine with her. Also I'm pretty sure a weasel has moved into my attic again, it was really annoying last night hearing noises from there.
I don't think you should worry about doing anything as long as you're having a nice time and are happy.

Yes, I played plenty of focused pokemon. I didn't take breaks or anything. Breloom is part fighting type. It also gets mach punch upon evolution. Mach punch is better than I remember.
They can turn around and bite faster than you would know what happened. They also bite really hard, hard enough to take a finger right off.
I used to see eagles all the time up north. Everything down south is much smaller, so you don't get large birds. I do hope that cat is fine though. Maybe she's somewhere safe having her kittens.
Weasels are weird. My sister had a weasel for a pet once. They're pretty nasty to keep in the house.
Thank you anon. I think I will go to sleep now, since I haven't yet. So I probably won't get back to you any time soon.

Yes I need to catch Shroomish and evolve it.
I bet they can, I wouldn't want to be near them, what do they even do? Do they just sit around doing nothing or are they more aggressive?
I hope so too, I think I worry too much about things, she is probably fine somewhere.
I've heard some people have them as pets, but never met anyone, those weasels are probably more friendly then the wild ones. They might look cute, but they still behave wildly, they can get through the smaller gaps and they attack chickens, bird nests, kittens and even small dogs.
I'm sorry if this is too late, but good night anon, sweet dreams!

No, they won't attack a person unless you come near it, but they don't really care where they go, so you can find them in bad places.
Pet weasels are definitely more friendly. They're still pretty bad though. Weasels would probably die if they ate too much that isn't meat. They're purely carnivores.
You were a bit late, but that's fine since I see it now. So, how has your day been?

It's been fine for the most part, I played some Pokemon, but not very much. My family came to visit me again, which is nice and I mowed the lawn. Well I tried at least, my lawn mower is very old and it's a miracle it even works as well as it does, but I think today might be the day it died. The wheels keep falling off and it's falling apart literally, piece by piece. I usually have to stop mowing a few times to put it back together, the last few days the motor was making this weird noise and a lot of white smoke was coming out, it finally broke today, but I managed to mown 90% of the lawn. I'll try and fix it tomorrow, but I don't think I can, it has been on a life support for a while now and maybe it's time for a new one. I do have one of those brush cutters and I guess I can use it to mow the whole lawn, but it's annoying even around trees with it and grass and other stuff keeps flying everywhere when you use it.
I'm guessing you have just started your day so I can't ask you yet how it was, but I hope it will be a great day.

I'm glad to hear that your family visits fairly often. It definitely sounds like you should replace the lawn mower. You might get hurt using that. Just use what you have to.
Thank you anon. I hope tomorrow will be great for you.

Yes I like when they come, it's fun, but it also can get a tiny bit tedious sometimes. They are going to be here all weekend.
I tried to fix it today, but with no luck, my dad said he's buying a new one and will give me his old one so in a way I will get a new one.
Thank you anon, the day did start ok, the weather is nice and not too hot.

Ah. I understand anon. Family can get a bit annoying in large doses. It really restricts what you can do.
I'm glad to hear you will be getting a lawnmower that isn't broken down yet.
The weather is quite nice here, too. It was supposed to be the hottest day so far this year, and stormy, but it's a bit cooler than usual, and sunny.

Yes, don't get me wrong, I love them and like spending time with them, but they can also get annoying without them even realising it.
I'm glad that you have nice weather, we are supposed to have a storm tomorrow, but we will see if that will be the case. Ohh I also saw that cat, she is still alive and well and from what it looks still pregnant, unfortunately she is scared of me so I have to stay away.
What did you do today so far?

Yes, of course. I completely understand.
It's supposed to storm here tomorrow. It seems weather is quite similar here to your weather at this time of the year.
I do hope the cat has her kittens soon. It must be very uncomfortable to prowl around with developing children inside. Also, you should give the cat a name.
I layed around all day. I really should start to be more productive, and I've been staying up later and waking later as a result. Normally I'd be okay with that, but it will slow down our conversation quite a bit. Also I have this twitching in my ear that's quite annoying. It's an on and off thing, but still very annoying.

It's extremely windy here today, I don't remember the last time it was so windy, but it's slowly getting quieter and it looks like there is going to be some rain toward the evening.
I'm very unoriginal, I'm no good with giving names. I call all my cats and the stray cats I used to feed back home, cat or some variety of that, for example my older cat, I just call him cat and the younger one I call mini cat, even though she's not that small anymore. They do have names, but that's just how I called them when I still lived at home, I do miss those cats.
That's ok, don't worry about me, I appreciate you being kind and thinking about this conversations, but honestly don't worry. I'm very glad if you're having fun even if that means less posts. I'm sorry to hear that about your ear, how long do you have that? I hope it will go away for good.
I was thinking about starting to learn how to play piano since I have one, but it's just sitting in the corner. I don't know where to start though.

It just started to storm today, and it's supposed to storm all day.
That's fine anon. I'm sure the cat doesn't mind anyway. My parents are somewhat similar, they have a pig named baby pig. She's definitely not a baby anymore.
I mean, it's not that I'm having fun, it's just that my sleep schedule is odd because eventually everything gets later and later until I start waking at 5pm for dinner and going to sleep around 5am.
The twitch in my ear is more or less just annoying and a tiny bit uncomfortable. It doesn't constantly twitch, it just happens sometimes. I had a few days where I had no twitch though. I hope it does go away for good though.
I can help you anon. I'll give you my discord for now, but if you need something else, I will definitely give it to you.

Hopefully the weather will turn to better, it isn't so bad here.
You have a farm right? That's nice, I live at the farm as well, at least it was a farm for a time, but there are no animals here now.
I know what you mean, that happens to me as well, less now, but before I would have to reset my sleep every month because I could switch days and nights.
Did you see a doctor about it? Maybe next time you visit one asks them. In any case I wish that it will stop soon.
You would? Thank you very much anon, you're more then kind, but I don't know if I'm a good student. I'm very new to discord, I just made an account so I'm not sure what I'm doing, I think I added you a as friend, please apologise me if that's not the case and let me know. And I'm sorry for a late reply, I saw your post earlier, but had to clean and cook and later got distracted by a movie on the tv, sorry.

Yeah. The storm didn't last long.
We do have a farm with a few animals, but we don't produce anything. They're just my mother's pets.
Yeah, I've decided to set an alarm for 10:00am to keep me on track.
It's not a big deal. It can't be fixed by a doctor anyway. I've just gotta suck it up.
It's quite fine that you posted later, since I got distracted too. It's father's day here, so I spent plenty of time with my father. Then I read the book I had to for the summer assignment. Honestly I thought it was interesting. I really have to thank the time I spent on /pol/ and moreso /leftypol/ allowing me to read it all at once, since I could draw parallels extremely easy.

What kind of animals do you have? Even if you don't produce anything I think it's still nice, there are a few small farms around here and they don't produce much either.
That's smart, just make sure you get in bed sooner so that you get all the sleep you need.
I'm sorry to hear that, I hope it will somehow disappear.
It's nice that you spend time with your dad and I'm happy that you've already read the book and that it wasn't too hard. Do you have to do anything else? Like write a paper about it or something like that?

That's nice, fresh milk must be great, farmers here sell it bottled in vending machines and probably make good money since a lot of people buy it. And having a lot of dogs must be very fun as well.

We don't produce milk for a few reasons. The cows are only babies right now. Then for the cows to actually produce milk they would have to have a child. Then the cows would be separated from their children which isn't very nice at all. Lastly we don't have any use for the milk. Whatever milk we use us almond milk since my mother was a vegan for some time and almond milk is actually pretty good. I don't really consume much, if any though. I just drink water and get my dairy through cheese. The dogs are fun, but a bit annoying sometimes. The pigs are awful though. They're cute, but always get filthy and are much louder than you would think. We have one pig that's really good though. He doesn't get dirty, he is very quiet, and is very relaxed. He gets to sleep in the house.
The packet isn't very hard though. It's just really boring and time consuming.
I was pretty hard at work today. My grandmother is coming soon for about a week, so we decided we should fix up a room for her and future guests. Then I did plenty of stuff outside because for a while I didn't have electricity, so the house was getting hot so it wasn't much better inside than outside. I was very productive today.

I see, it's better to not separate baby cows from their mothers, I think that's very kind. And I think being a vegetarian is something respect worthy, I don't think I would be able to be one. I never had almond milk, it's too expensive here and I drink 1 liter of milk per day so I can't really afford it. But I'll try and buy it once just to see how it tastes.
Is he one of those pet pigs that remain small? Some distant relatives of mine have a farm and a few pigs, I haven't been there in probably 10 years now, but once I was there they were killing one for meat and it was almost imposible to push him out of the barn. He died a painless death lucky, but before when they were pushing him outside he was screaming very loudly and if I remember correctly even bit someone.
I'm glad you had a productive day, I can't say the same for my day so far, I haven't done anything yet, I had a very bad sleep last night.

I don't think I could be a vegetarian either. Meats are too much of a staple for my diet. Almond milk doesn't taste much different from milk.
Yes, all the pigs will remain somewhat small. They still weigh about the same as a person since they're fat. Pigs can certainly be mean. There was a pig who killed a full grown horse once. They're certainly dangerous.
Don't worry about it. You don't have to be productive everyday.
