… I'm actually friends with Joseph Friedman myself. Though I use the term "friends" VERY loosely, as I'll explain later. I figure since you guys are making a thread about him, I should contribute my experiences with him to add to the documentation. It may be a lot, so buckle your fuckles.
I met him in the comment section of a poll on DeviantArt about unpopular opinions, and he casually explained that he was a "National Socialist", and in my naivete at the time, I told him there was nothing wrong with that as long as he wasn't hurting anyone. He then started exchanging notes with me about his ideology, which I felt inclined to correct in the particular areas autistically demonizing communism… seeing as how I'm a communist myself.

It was in this exchange that I struck a deal with him, that I would watch a recommended portion of that Hitler "documentary" if he read The Communist Manifesto in exchange. Don't get me wrong, that documentary is fucking bullshit, and I was even able to spot a couple times where it was flat-out lying, but I still sympathized with him out of the naive hope that I could find some middle ground between the far left and the far right with him. Reality is not as simple as that, as I would later find out.
We also connected on the grounds that we're both diaperfags

Hitler even outlawed workers' unions, and would personally send any worker protesting their unjust conditions to concentration camps for being "Bolsheviks". I was disgusted and outraged by this, to say the least.
So I brought this information to him, and you know what he did? He tried justifying his twisted ideology by showing me a particularly biased definition of what "National Socialism" is… from a NAZI REVISIONIST WEBSITE.
I think I should have mentioned that he is absolutely terrible at citing proper sources. If I had a nickel for every time I had to correct him because his sources were full of shit… I mean, he was gullible enough to believe that hack "documentary", so there's that, I guess.
I blocked him on Skype and all other sites I use to keep him away from me, thinking that would be the end of it. But it gets even worse from that point on…

He ended up bugging not only a few of my friends, but even people who I just barely knew online, to serve as messengers so he could beg me to unblock him. This begging was utterly fucking incessant, you wouldn't believe it. My responses to him were quite loudly violent in their sheer rage, to say the least. I would constantly threaten to inflict severe torture unto him following the revolution, and would repeatedly watch several of the "Nazis PLEASE STOP TROLLING BRITBONG, HIS PARENTS ARE BEATING HIM AND HE WON'T STOP SCREAMING AT US IN DISCORD" parts of Inglorious Basterds for catharsis to calm me down from raging at him so hard.
This continued for quite a few months, from February to sometime in June, I think. What caused me to finally unblock him and consider him my "friend" again was when he finally realized, "Hey, maybe there IS something wrong with being a fucking Nazi, I should change something about that." He told me he had changed his ideology into one that's arguably way more socialist than "National Socialism", and that was the African "green socialism", I think it was called, practiced by Muammar Gaddafi.
He's slowly adapted his political ideology just little bits further to the left, inch by inch, but he's still pretty rightist in a lot of ways. On one hand, he and I agree that Stalin was a genocidal faggot that fucked up Lenin's revolution, that Joseph Broz Tito, leader of Yugoslavia up to 1980, was fucking based, and that Hitler probably should have listened to Gregor Strasser before having him killed in the Night of Long Knives. But on the other hand, he still believes globalism exists, thinks nationalism is a good thing, thinks ANTIFA are violent thugs (they're barely even that violent, just very undisciplined in both theory and combat, and can't seem to organize at all), and thinks race mixing is bad, or something along those lines. Even way after we made amends, I've seen suspiciously rightist shit in his DA favorites, including pics that advocate white "pride" (pretty much white nationalism, which he claims to be against), anti-Zionism (I'm against Zionism too, but I don't autistically hate it as much as he does), anti-immigration, the list goes on. He even still favorites pictures involving Hitler, who he's still apparently infatuated with, despite claiming to have denounced being a Nazi. There's also some pics in his favorites that literally say "Hail America!"… yeah, like that isn't alt-right at all. Which, again, he claims he's against.
Needless to say, I'm suspicious about the consistency of his political beliefs. It at least appears that he's willing to listen to me on what socialism actually is, so that's a positive in my book. He also regrets voting for Trump because of how quickly he turned from populist to neocon once he took office, and even enacted acts of war in the middle east. Anti-war is one of Joseph's primary political tenants, so that really pissed him off, and he denounced Trump for good from that point onward.
Basically, the only reason I'm still friends with him involves both a carrot and a stick in terms of motivation: the carrot being because he has potential for eventually becoming a real leftist over time, and the stick being that if I do dump and block him again, he'll just throw a shitfit all over again, use other people to harass me outside his blocking, and just won't leave me alone in general. He's essentially a parasite who's absolutely obsessed with me, and getting rid of him is no easy feat. But then again, there's still his potential for becoming a leftist, so as long as his future involves him being useful in that degree to the leftist cause, I might as well cope with his obsessive leeching for the time being.
That's about as much as I can tell you guys about my experiences with him… unless you want me to divulge information about the roleplays we would have. But trust me, a lot of that shit is straight-up nuclear autism. I doubt you'd survive it if I told you.
