No human can be purely good or evil, atleast on Earth. Jesus and the angels are pure good. Jesus found use for them, but Satan and demons are pure evil.

Then man was deceived by Satan, and man was cursed with original sin.
After original sin came actual sin like the murder of Able.
You need the help of the Holy Mother Church to cleanse you of actual sin after baptism. No one can get to heaven without the help of the Church established by our Lord.

What I can say is that all living species, including humans, are deeply egoistical. This egoistical nature is what drives us to commits acts that are generally considered evil/sinful by the rest of society
The key to solve most evil/sinful acts involves improving one's altruism but as human history has shown, it's rater difficult to do it
