Men and women of this board, have you obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the bible?

>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

As preached by Apostle Peter for the first time in the day of Pentecost, having received the Holy Ghost among the other who were about an hundred and twenty.

>Acts 19:5 "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

>Acts 8:16 "(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)"

As the Church grew, going forth to baptize both Jew and Gentile, fulfilling the scripture where God said to Abraham all nations in thee shall be blessed(Genesis 22:18).

Have you obeyed the Gospel? This is your message of salvation. This is God's calling to you. Harden not your hearts. This is not a Jehovah Witness, Pentecostal or Protestant preaching. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the Word of God.

Dear sir, there is no mention of a trinity in the bible. The trinity doctrine is the belief that there are three persons in a godhead. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The scriptures declare that there is only ONE God.

>Ephesians 4:5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism,"

>Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:"

ONE NAME

There is no God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit in the bible. There is only God the Father. There is the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost. There are no three co-equal persons of the godhead in the bible.

>John 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I."

ONE NAME under which we are saved.

> Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

The same name being preached by Apostle Peter to get baptized in for the remission of sins.

>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

The Lord Jesus Christ told us to repent by anointing our heads and fasting in Matthew 6:16-21.

You're all doing that right now, right? 40 days just like Jesus in the desert. 40 days like the repentant Ninivites. King David also repented of his sins.

Jesus died for your sins by being scourged and crucified. Being our King is to wear the Crown of Thorns. Seriously, you can at least do as he asked to repent and go hungry for a bit. To do anything less is to mock him and spit in his face as the Roman legionaries who crowned him did.

Anon, what you wrote is complete foolishness. Those who want come to God are told to obey the Gospel by baptism in Jesus' name.

>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

This was then done by the Apostles.

>Acts 19:5 "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

>Acts 8:16 "(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)"

The scriptures says that by baptism we are washed of our sins.

>Acts 22:16 "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

Jesus Christ said those that do not believe shall be damned.

>Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

If you knew what it was like to "worship him in spirit and in truth" then you would understand why the rejection of Him is so deeply troubling to those that have withstood this heresy, especially when you are then pretending to study His word.

As it says in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4,

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

And again, 1 Corinthians 16:22

"If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha."

I preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you reject the Gospel, you are the one refusing to come to Him.

God is not three persons co-equal. He is one God. God the Father has a Son and in that Son is the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

>Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

Jesus Christ is the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

>Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

I do not believe or practice Arianism. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is light to them that believe it. Judge yourself, have you obeyed the Gospel? Have you done what Jesus Christ commanded, which was performed by Peter on the day of Pentcost? A Christian is defined by believing and following God's holy word.

>Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Correct. Monotheism is the core doctrine of Trinitarian theology.

>There is no God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit in the bible. There is only God the Father.

Jesus Christ is called God multiple times like in John 1:1 and Romans 9:5. He is explicitly called Jehovah in Mark 1:1-3. The Holy Spirit is outright called the Lord in II Corinthians 3:17.

Yes, because he is God. That is what has name means. Yehovah has come to save us. God was manifest in the flesh. God is in his Son.

>Colossians 2:9 "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

The scriptures also said the Messiah would be called the Mighty God.

>Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

The Son of God is not a co-equal diety with God, or another diety. He is God come in the flesh, do you understand? The Father is in the Son. In the Son of God is the spirit of his Father.

Trinitarianism and Modalism are the same things. The Trinity are three co-equal persons, God the Father, "God the Son" and "God the Holy Spirit". Modalism is one God who reveals himself in three forms.

Neither of these are scriptural, and I preached to you Jesus Christ in this thread.

>So are you a Modalist? Because Jesus is very clearly called God's only-begotten. He isn't a seperate being from God, but he is a different person from the Father.

Yes Jesus is begotten, he is the Son of God. He was created, there was a time where he did not exist There is only one God and that is God the Father. The Holy Ghost is God's spirit.

Dear anon, in that scripture it says Word not Son. Having been raised in a Catholic world, we all have been tricked into seeing Son where Word is.

>John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Who is that Word? The scripture openly says the Word is God.

>1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

The scripture again declares that the Word is God. In Genesis, we know God spoke things into existence. He is the Word in the beginning. The Word was God. None of these verse say Son.

Actually, let me rephrase myself… I didn't say what I believe is exactly correct.

>How is it that the word became flesh?

First of all, the scriptures say that was the Word was MADE flesh. When God spoke to the people of Israel on mount Sinai, they could not bear his voice.

>Deuteronomy 5:25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.

They could not bear the voice of God, they instead asked Moses to talk to God for them and bring them his word(Deuteronomy 5:27).

God then said they have well said all that they have spoken.

>Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Son of God spoke the words of his Father to the people. The Word(God) was manifest in his Son, reconciling the world to himself. Moses giving God's word to the Israelites was a foreshadowing.

>2 Corinthians 5:19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."

God who is the Word in the beginning was manifest in the flesh. God came in the flesh of a man to GIVE HIS WORD to the people. Just like Moses gave God's word to the people, because they could not bare God's voice. THE WORD MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US.

>1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"

That is why Jesus is called the mediator between God and men.

Many different people have "compiled" the Bible. Literally anyone who has put the inspired 66 books together can say they have done that. God alone authored and inspired his word. As it says, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

And also Galatians 1:12, "For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."
