I tithe to the catholic church or directly to beggars and my finances have never been better. I Know I will get a lot of anti-prosperity posts but i dont tithe to creflo dollar or benny hinn I tithe to my catholic parish.

tithing is real but has ben subverted;it does make you rich,even if its not the primary motivation/benefit.

Please don't call this a catholic teaching, because it isn't.

1) Catholics support the church, we don't tithe or give a fixed percentage of our income. We give what we can to support our church and give to the poor while supporting our families.

2) You don't get wealth from supporting the church. That is the promise of Satan, not God.

As a consequence, other means have had to be adopted to support the clergy and maintain the ecclesiastical institutions (see CHURCH MAINTENANCE), and to substitute other equivalent payments in lieu of tithes.

You support the church as you can.

What you articulated is prosperity theology. You are arguing from an anecdote that giving to a church cause results in God granting you wealth in return.

Yes, protestant bro is right. You're spouting prosperity theology, which IMHO is satanic. The rewards we get for giving to the poor and supporting the Church are not of this world, but build on our treasures in heaven.

Lets look at Matthew 4:8-10

''8 Again the devil took him up into a very high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, 9 And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me. 10 Then Jesus saith to him: Begone, Satan: for it is written, The Lord thy God shalt thou adore, and him only shalt thou serve."

If the Lord rejected all the wealth of the world which was offered by Satan, why do you think God will give you wealth of this world more than what you need?

I also tithe, usually at least 15% of my pay a year, and I too have become very fortuitous for it. Not gonna lie, this is one of the reasons why I strongly believe in God. I objectively started having more money, more opportunities, and generally through less effort. It isn't in the way that I feel better or became more appreciative or something, I legitimately just have had more success since I went to Christ and became charitable. I struggle to see any reason why this would be other than a spiritual force.
