If you don't understand that this is the best JC movie, you could be in trouble. Yeah it's a bit of a thought experiment but it's the only one that portrays 100% man, 100% God, and therefore you'll understand the sacrifice was far more than just one day of torture and hanging from a cross.
The man gave up any semblance of the fruitful life he could easily have without 100% knowing he was making the right choice.

Jesus had to 'grow in wisdom', sweated in the garden and asked for the cup to be taken away, and cried out asking why God had forsaken him. This is clear evidence that he still had the doubts of a 'man' when he undertook/completed his mission.
I'll agree his passions were portrayed a bit too disordered. Calling it blasphemous is laughable though. All other JC films portray a demi-god which is even more inaccurate biblically.
