Let's talk about it
I see these basic formats:
>subreddits & reddit clones
>live chats (irc, discord, element)
>traditional forums
>imageboards
>niche: stack exchange
I think theres redeeming qualities in each, depending on what you want.
Reddit is populated by soyboys and the discussion model rewards virtue signaling and majority opinion.
Discord is the worst botnet and the live chat doesn't allow for careful deliberate discussion. Everyone sucks up to mods who love the power, its too cringe for me.
Stack exchange is what reddit should be. The hermeneutics stack exchange is the one I've frequented, its strictly hard questions and intelligent answers. Its very slow and not fun though
The two most attractive options then are imageboards and forums. The image board model I think is preferable because inter-thread anonymity means you take every post at it's own value. Sadly, this is the largest Christian image board and we're pretty slow. There are a couple boards on alt chans and there have bee at least two dedicated christian image board sites.
Forums have been popular for a long time and have older userbases. Some of the biggest ones I've seen
>catholic answers
>carm
>puritan board
>baptist board
>fish eaters
I wonder if it's worth posting on a forum in addition to our board. Does anyone use a forum?
