Do not read this, if you are still fragile in the faith. I don't want to blackpill, and I am not an ethnic jew or subversive, just a troubled man, and I need to say this, and this is really the only avenue for me.

My faith is almost gone at this point. The main cause for this (other than the people who called me brother in church screwing me over and telling me lies that were supposedly from the spirit) is the defeatism written into the bible.

>Revelation 13:1-2: “[1] And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. [2] And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

I take this to mean that we will have a NWO ruled by the antichrist. So, things will only get worse from here until after the time of Jacob's troubles when Christ returns. Which means that i was born during this decline, and it will only get worse as i get older.

>Luke 18:8: Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

I take this to mean that faith will severely decline (this is obviously a historical truth still underway now)

>Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I take this to mean that Jesus is receding faith/pulling back/not giving us faith/or allowing or causing faith to decline.

>2 Thessalonians 1: Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

This reiterates that there will be a "falling away" or decline of faith, and that the antichrist will come before Christ returns. So, basically Christ isn't going to return any time soon, and things will get much worse.

this is the crux of my issue. other than not understanding why satan wasn't killed immediately, why we were sent to the planet satan chose as his home, or why adam and eve weren't killed immediately upon sinning and a new race made, said issue is the crux of the decline of my faith.

i wanted encouragement, victory, joy, and peace from the Lord, but i only seemed to receive worry, a constant war in my head which caused neurosis and brought me to a breaking point, where i had to just step back from the faith and accept that i will be sinning all the time, because i am not given enough guidance, community, or strength to resist the unrelenting pitbull that is the flesh, and the evil which saturates this world, especially america.

the only effect that really happens with a Christian is that we generally realize there is something wrong in the world, then we get the Holy Spirit and read the bible having our heart circumcised, but the only power we get is maybe being able to resist masturbation 1 time, or resist overeating 1 time, and the next day the war is even harder, and we have no anointing of war to stop the evil empire or even evil on a local level. all we can do is maybe resist a sin or two. where is the power to move mountains? why can't we drive the filth from our lands? where is our vindicator?

>"God will never give you more than you can handle"

https://www.openbible.info/topics/god_will_never_give_you_more_than_you_can_handel

this wasn't my experience. i was overwhelmed a great many times. i would pray and not receive the help i needed. this lead to drinking and even blasphemy. we are all alone down here, under constant spiritual and societal (government and corporate) attack, and even attacks from other "Christians." we are thrown to the wolves.

Also, if we consider,

>2 Chronicles 7:14

King James Version

>14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

then i wonder just who we need to be to activate this. if the WASPs that built america from 1550-1700's couldn't keep this country, and no one since then has been good enough for this promise, then how will any Christian in 2020 america activate this promise? i dont think we will, this place is too far gone

I am open to constructive conversation here, and hoping for something to help me. i don't feel i will find anything at most churches nowadays tbh

Consider this:

- The media has been lying to us FOR SURE for decades

- How can you be sure it wasn't the case since millenias ?

- What would justify this ? Why the hatred on Christianity ?

- Is the human corrupt ? Can human institutions be corrupt ? Can the Pope be corrupt ? The whole Catholic Church ?

- Then, are you 100% sure the version of the Bible you're reading is 100% accurate ?

Remember God wins.

J. R. R. Tolkien once said:

“I am a Christian, and indeed a Roman Catholic, so that I do not expect ‘history’ to be anything but a ‘long defeat’ – though it contains (and in a legend may contain more clearly and movingly) some samples or glimpses of final victory”

Our Rohirrim charge is the second coming:p.

Suffering is wonderful though:

https://thecatholicreader.blogspot.com/2013/01/catechism-on-suffering.html

Embrace the cross.

"So to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

(…)

"Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,"

Of course it's going to get bad. We know this from various Marian apparitions like Our Lady of Good Success.

The wicked are already judged. Now is the time of trial for the faithful.

Please know that your thoughts, concerns and thinking are completely, perfectly normal and shared. You very articulately describe all of us; and believe it or not your sharing your pain in this thinking is a blessing of encouragement. You actually present all the evidence of how we cannot overcome or earn favor; and how great a perfect sacrifice was made in our place.

Perseverance and Faith is a recurring theme. This time is nothing compared to eternity.

Wonder and doubt is normal; but amplified greatly by the enemy to discourage us from continuing in the faith. Hang on!

We fail every day; often miserably fail!

Christ’s sacrifice covers all today and tomorrow. It’s not the action of your sin it’s the heart afterward. If you did not have the Holy Spirit within you; you would not even think of what you do as sinful.

This may renew your faith, as it has mine, there are Christian perspectives that are more enlightened than you hear in church.

OP, first part of your post also makes greater sense when considering the following prophecies:

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. - Daniel 12:4

But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. - Mark 13:9-10

We see these things gradually increasing, as I am sure people generally have since the prophecies were made. That has been the general trend. The problem of course is that as men become more in control of their environment, it only leads to enabling more sin. You remember how they built the tower of Babel and God set them back. Everything God does is for good, meaning to allow it to continue would have been evil and destructive. Now we see the same pattern emerging once again. Men need Christ. They need his word and the Holy Spirit to give them the means to hear. The sad reality is that Jesus Christ told us that the way is broad that leads to destruction, and that many there be which go that way. Meaning the number of the saved will be relatively few, if we believe the saying of the Lord. He is telling us this for our own good, everything that the Lord God does is ultimately for our benefit, even if the truth is hard to hear. James tells us how great God is in his epistle. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

>So, basically Christ isn't going to return any time soon,

Not true, he told us to watch for the signs of his coming. Also that no man knows the day or hour of his return, and it is hard to tell how close it is. All you can do is see the day of the Lord getting closer. Consider what Paul and Peter wrote:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:25

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? - 2 Peter 3:10-12

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. - Titus 2:11-14

>where is the power to move mountains? why can't we drive the filth from our lands? where is our vindicator?

He told us to wait and keep alive that which is ready to die.

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

- Revelation 2:2-3

Mark 13:

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Just a guess; but biblically 2000 years from Christ’s death to his second return makes sense. God doesn’t use random numbers in His word. That would also put the Hebrew calendar at about 5800 which could be off by 200 years - which would be 6000 -

Then add a 1000 year millennial kingdom and that makes 7000 years. 1000 years for each year of creation. 6000 for six days of work and 1000 millennial years for the sabbath.

Just sharing a thought.

You are going to die.

God is just and all good. You may be forgiven for your sins, but there remains justice. The more you suffer on earth, the less you have to suffer in the eternal life.

Stop worrying about this life. Real Christians before you died for the faith. We all get our cross to bear.
