Biblically speaking the only true holiday is the Lord's day and God has not commanded the observance of any other day. So we must not observe advent or christmas because to do so is pagan sin.
<And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

To say that celebrating the Lord's birth is "strange fire" is to say the Lord himself is strange, and for pagans. A fast ticket to Hell. The angels and shepherds, magi, the aging Simeon and Anna, Mary herself, and John the Baptist in his mother's womb jumped for joy at the dawn of the Messiah. So who are you? What makes you greater than all of them? Nothing.
Not only that, but you're wrong anyways about this not being in scripture. The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) is the holiday to celebrate the new year and coronation of the King of Israel. Shofars are blown across the land in early fall (the true season of the Lord's birth, if you want to know. He was born around September). It is the time of harvest, the time of the proclamation of the King, and the time of the civic new year.
And not every holiday included in the Torah is forbidden anyways. The holiday of Hanukkah is only recorded in Maccabees, and yet, we see Jesus himself going to the Temple of Jerusalem for Hanukkah and John calling it by name:
"The Festival of Dedication ["Hannakuh" means dedication] then took place in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in Solomon’s portico” (John 10:22-23).

This is a strawman argument and is therefore ignored.
>The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)
The ceremonies of the old law have withered and passed away.
>The holiday of Hanukkah is only recorded in Maccabees, and yet, we see Jesus himself going to the Temple of Jerusalem for Hanukkah
The passage does not mention Him observing Hanukkah, it merely dates the events.

Not sure he's a troll. Just sounds like another unfortunate soul who grew up in a cult. They need to be confronted and helped. Not ignored.

No, it is a simple list of people celebrating the birth of the King, and you forgetting this. So I'm here to remind you. And no, this law has not "withered" away. A greater King than David or Solomon has come. They celebrated the rule of these past kings, but now you're saying it's invalid to celebrate the birth of the ultimate King. The only person who would be against this is someone who doesn't acknowledge his rule. It's Satan himself giving you these thoughts. The real pagan is you. Not the person celebrating Christ's kingship.

He is in the Temple on Hanukkah. Temple visitations weren't a casual affair. Usually it was only yearly for those outside Jerusalem, for Passover. To make it to Jerusalem for Hanukkah is notable enough. Jesus otherwise visited Jerusalem on Passover. Secondly, to call a non Torah holiday like this "pagan" or "strange fire" is beyond stupidity. The whole point of Hanukkah was to celebrate when the Maccabees kicked out the Greek occupation. Antiochus Epiphanes erected a giant statue of Zeus in the Temple and sacrificed pigs on the altar. THIS WAS PAGAN, you clown. Not when they kicked him out and re-dedicated the Temple to God. That is precisely the opposite of pagan.

Oh, and just to point out the obvious, if Hanukkah had been invalid and "strange fire" all along, then the Temple would have still been tainted by Zeus and pig's blood. Yet Jesus gives his acknowledgement of it's cleansing by virtue of having walked in that temple. Just the fact that he was there shows that he approved of them bringing it back to God. If it has still been unclean and the re-dedication meant nothing, then he would have never stepped foot in it or called it his "Father's House".
You don't want people to celebrate the birth or sing songs to the Eternal King. And believe holy spaces and things can't be re-dedicated to God. This is Satanic. He's the only one who wants people to forget the birth of the King. You're in Herod's company. Not the Church.

Hebrews 8:13
<In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
>now you're saying it's invalid to celebrate the birth of the ultimate King
It is forbidden to offer up worship of God in any way which is not commanded by Him. This is why Nadab and Abihu were consumed by fire, it was God's wrath for violating His worship. We have no command to celebrate Christmas, therefore to worship God in this way is the product of fallen man and unfit for God's glory. It is not that we may not celebrate the birth of Christ, but we ought to make every day a celebration of God's union with us by our faith and good works.
>The only person who would be against this is someone who doesn't acknowledge his rule. It's Satan himself giving you these thoughts. The real pagan is you. Not the person celebrating Christ's kingship.
Incoherent rhetoric, irrelevant to the word of God.

That makes absolutely no sense, but then again neither does the rest of your empty rhetoric.

You have nothing but meaningless rhetoric. No scripture can be raised to support you.

>Hebrews 8:13
He said COVENANT in that passage. Not the scriptures as a whole. Are you so lost that you don't know the difference? Even when Paul constantly told you what he meant: The aspects of the covenant that separated Jew and Gentile. These were the things that were done away with. Ritual signs of separation, along with animal sacrifice. Things like circumcision. Not the entirety of the Law. He didn't say you were suddenly allowed to lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, be a sodomite, serve false gods, engage in usury and other dishonorable tactics. Those will stand forever. And celebrating the King of Israel - that is, the Messiah ultimately - is FOR EVERYONE. It's not an aspect of the racially specific laws that are done away with. Everyone is required to serve the King. The King is forever and binds us all. And God isn't going to frown on you if you praise the King's birth into this world. He's a just God. Not some psychotic entity of Chaos who gets mad if you sing songs praising him. Quite the opposite. We are encouraged to sing songs of Praise. How you even came to this bizarre conclusion about Christ's birth being bad is tragic. Like I said, as far as the Christmas story goes, you're following in nobody's footsteps but Herod's. He's the only one who wanted to snuff this event out. You're in bad company.

Are you guys gonna tell me how to do the candles or not?
I gather the three purple ones are for the Advent days leading up to Christmas, and the red one is for Christmas itself.
How long do I burn them? Do I burn all three of the purple ones at the same time?

This is another strawman argument and you know it. The point is that old covenant holidays are irrelevant to us since the old covenant has passed.
