I really can't bear to go through with all this anymore, I just discovered / christian / and I think maybe this is the right place to drop it all. I do not speak English natively, I will be writing with "Google Translate", so first of all sorry if I do not express myself well.
Since I was a child I have been very exposed to pornographic content, it can be said that it has been part of my life until now. Since I am maybe 10 to 11 years old, it could be said that I could not spend a day without masturbating. Over the years, already reaching adolescence, I had reached a point where I felt like a dead and empty body, the only thing I thought about was perversions and abominations, I even thought of raping and violently murdering a girl during high school. Things happened and I realized that I had to change my whole life if I wanted to see life the way it should be lived, so I left many habits behind, and discovered the true wisdom in the teachings of Christ. I made a new group of good friends and everything, friends with whom I have gained a lot of confidence … I lasted without masturbating for a long time, you could say that I had the perfect environment to avoid any temptation, in my country a Crazy Blackout happened last year that left us with electricity problems that persist to this day, and of course it left me without internet connection. Me and my friends got to talk a lot about how pornography is bad, I openly declared that I was not a consumer of that type of content and that I did not masturbate. But that statement got to the point of falsehood, there were several times when I did it, I really don't feel like myself when I do that, it's as if something took over me at that moment. And lately I was able to have a good internet connection, the situation only got worse, I started to frequent pornographic sites again, it's been a few days since my last relapse, and I sincerely hope it is the last. My friendships sometimes highlight the fact that I am a good person, and that I have helped them a lot in their lives, but I feel like a hypocrite and a bad person, because behind all that facade, I have only been a fake with all this issue. The point has come where I no longer feel worthy to pray or even read the Bible.
I would like to hear your opinions, and know if you have had a similar experience.

If we confess our sins he is good and just to forgive us our sins
After you've confessed (to God, no intercessor needed) you are forgiven and you do not need to have that distant feeling. It is a trick of the enemy.

>After you've confessed (to God, no intercessor needed)
Need to clarify that you meant no confessionals needed (Catholicism). We have an intercessor, Jesus Christ. Other than that, the easypeasy method is indeed a great resource.
[1Jo 2:1 KJV] 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

OP. never stop praying and reading the Bible.
"There are those who have known the pardoning love of Christ, and who really desire to be children of God, yet they realize that their character is imperfect, their life faulty, and they are ready to doubt whether their hearts have been renewed by the Holy Spirit. To such I would say, Do not draw back in despair. We shall often have to bow down and weep at the feet of Jesus because of our short-comings and mistakes; but we are not to be discouraged. Even if we are overcome by the enemy, we are not cast off, not forsaken and rejected of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Said the beloved John, "These things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." And do not forget the words of Christ, "The Father himself loveth you." He desires to restore you to himself, to see his own purity and holiness reflected in you. And if you will but yield yourself to him, he that hath begun a good work in you, will carry it forward to the day of Jesus Christ. Pray more fervently; believe more fully. As we come to distrust our own power, let us trust the power of our Redeemer, and we shall praise him who is the health of our countnance."

That's true. To be more precise Jesus is God, but in his role he serves as mediator/intercessor before the Father on your behalf

Porn is a trick of the enemy to keep you bound to worldly pleasures.
You can even remove the theistic aspect of the negative consenquences of porn and know that it is not a healthy habit.
Walk in the Light of the Lord and seek His strength in your recovery.
Pray and always keep the Lord in your heart and mind.

I can relate to you OP. I too have my devils to fought and in the past I went as far as justifying perversions as not something sinful. But as I grow as a Christian; I realize that God truly come to save the wretched man. I used to think that I has redeemable qualites that made me a better man, even as I took to Church's teaching that we are just poor sinners.
If we are to realize our wretchedness it is truly the work of God. Even now I feel the lethargic faith you feel regarding prayers and reading the Bible. I pray God will give you His grace and mercy anon.
My mind realize that the glory of God is more than that of the most beautiful woman. His work more glorius than the most wicked perversion. Yet my body is weak and I keep falling to sin. For this I beg God for mercy and I see how evil I am and how great is God for His work to save me.
Remember that God has come to save the most wretched. He shows His glory to sheperds; swindlers; foreign people; all wretched man by society standard. Look at Him and the glory of His work. Bear the cross of suffering and walk in Him.
God bless you anon; may you find peace on your heart. I will pray for you.

Once I developed a porn addiction about a year ago, women started telling me I was clearly porn addicted when the topic of sex would come up. I wasn't even going full Bobs and Vagene coomer talk either, but it was definitely noticeable that my perception of sex was becoming warped.
The fact that worldly women who have casual sex are open about the fact they can tell who is porn addicted and who isn't, shows that it has a more far reaching effect than people realize.
I don't mean for my post to glorify worldly degenerate s—, that's just the world I (still) live in.

But Porn and Masturbating is not a sin…
I don't get it.
Porn don't exist in the Bible. Maybe Matthew 5:27-28 is close to this, but adultery is specific to married couples. If you're not married, you can look at porn.
And masturbation, there's just "don't spill your seed" which is kinda criptic. I wouldn't worry about this one.
What you should worry about, is eating shrimps and seashells ! There, there is no poetic phrasing or room for interpretation. It is everywhere in Leviticus and Deuteronomy : do not eat something from the sea unless it has scales and fins. Can't be more clear than that.
I think the problem with masturbation or porn is mostly about the way the community look at it, more than God itself. But seriously, it is natural to have sexual urges. You even "spill your seed" in your sleep when you're a teenager. God made this.
But eating shrimps and seashells… that's a lot of getting out of your way to go there. There's no natural urge for shrimps that God put into you.
I'll say, it's no sin. And if it's a sin, it's a little harmless one. Agree or disagree, that's how I interpret it.

Porn is the sin of adultery or fornication and maybe sodomy, because you're supporting the people in the porn committing these acts.
Masturbation is the sin of Onan.
So, these are mortal sins.

>porn doesn't exist in bible
>what is literally the 10 commandments
also, I don't quite remember where, if its Wisdom or the one before it, but it has clear instructions on why to "soil thyself", and what to do if so does happen
besides that its quite clear pornification is kind of corruption and perversion (check the meaning of perverse),
its no coincidence that porn is like a addiction that requires you to go deeper and deeper
feeling aroused is something that comes with being human, its from the flesh, but being driven by that desire (and letting it take you to darker paths) is what is a sin
btw, interesting stuff about sea creatures, I did not know about that, they are delicious, but I've guess something goes wrong, since they cause allergies and whatnot

my longest nofap streaks was when I was looking forward to dating my e-gf's at the time.
even this week I was a suicidal horny mess, but God has shown me a plan for how to get a wife, and just knowing that and having faith, and focusing on my future with her overwrites my desire to fap or watch porn.
God designed man to have sex and not masturbate to porn.

Anon, the Father awesome! Repent with an honest heart in Christ's name. Then, never bring it up again. God doesn't want to hear it. If He forgives us and we cannot forgive ourselves, do we think we are better than Him? God loves you. We are not perfect, nor expected to be.

I started watching porn when I was 7. its was mostly boob pictures but you get the idea.
Though I grew up being told masterbation is wrong so I didn't start greasing the hog until I was 13 or so. I'm now 22 and trying to break an almost 10 year daily porn addiction and masterbation addiction.
We can all reach our end goal and kill this monkey on our back but its a tough road.
Good luck to OP, and any other Anons that are struggling

Hey, it's extremely common nowadays, but it's generally Millennials/Gen Z. (those who were raised on porn) that are addicted. Way back when, you had to buy the stuff from an adult store or the odd convenience store - a child couldn't get it for free, on-demand, 24/7 from home. The playing field has changed considerably.
I was really sheltered growing up, but ended up discovering fetish videos on YouTube when I was about 9. YT was the Wild West back then, where anything short of full frontal nudity just wasn't regulated; today, those sorts of videos are more regulated but still allowed if classed as "ASMR" or some other nonsense. YT basically went from not caring to managing its own Internet prostitution ring (which sadly includes child actors too).
A lot of the stuff on YT I watched originated from porn sites. By the age of 12 I was a regular consumer of pornography. By age 14, I was sick of having wet dreams and looked up how to prevent them, and from that point on I discovered and became addicted to masturbation as well. It's not "normal" or "healthy" to masturbate; I had no knowledge or interest in it until I was taught how to do it. Over time, I'd moved onto progressively more degenerate forms of it too.
Suffice to say, porn and masturbation all but wrecked any chance of me leading a normal life. Playing vidya for hours on end didn't help either. I found Christ at 20, and only through Him did I realize that I'm not "sexually liberated", but a slave to these things that control my life.

To continue: It's been a really rough journey, and I'm still addicted today, but over the last month I've put more effort into moving past this:
>putting all of my video games in storage
>removing sources of temptation from my life (e.g. I was gifted Google Home and only ever used it for porn, so I got rid of it)
>praying the Rosary daily, making sure to meditate on the mysteries and trust in Mary's intercession
>exercising daily (I use a free app called "Home Workout" that requires no equipment)
>lifting every other day
>asking a beautiful girl out to coffee (she said yes) (Dan Bacon on YT has some top-tier advice about attraction and dating - just disregard the bits about having sex)
>finding new hobbies (I started practicing Spanish and learning how to dance yesterday… next I may pursue hiking)
Just by doing some of these simple things, I've become disconnected from PMO, feel much more confident about myself, and am developing a much more healthy view of women. Before I was deathly afraid of even talking to girls my age, because porn conditions you to view them from afar and masturbate rather than socialize with them, but now I can talk and flirt with them in a healthy way, viewing them as people rather than these highly sexualized, unattainable objects.
To all the lads here, I'd just encourage you to cut porn out of your life, pray throughout the day, start working out, find new hobbies, and start socializing with/asking out women (it's okay if she says no). Focus on self-improvement, transforming yourself into the ideal male. If the regressive Leftists want to reduce themselves to the status of animals by acting only according to their passions, then fine, but we shouldn't allow them to drag us down too with their perverted, mainstream practices. Through God, we're capable of so much more.
