On a personal note - as a Christian. I don't think it's my place to judge an individuals sexual orientation.
1. Homosexuality is not the norm. More people are straight than Gay. That's a simple fact.
2. I expect to go about my day and interact with individuals based on cultural norms.
Anything that's out of the "norm", will stand out. Especially if its thrust in my face and, and a demand is made that I accept it.
3. Basically, if you want to be Gay - so what. The whole thing is up to you. But the moment those things are imposed on me, and a demand is made that I accept it as being normal. That's when I will push back.

In our culture we used to have a saying; "don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer." The answer to your question is that the God of the Bible is against homosexuality. People in this world would get along better if we recognized and respected that nobody is under any obligation to agree with anyone else about anything. First off, I don't think anyone hates you. We're told not to hate our brothers and even our enemies.
That being said, homosexuality is wrong for several reasons that some have already covered.
It's against natural law. We were created man for woman, woman for man. For most people homosexuality is an environmental factor, caused by pornography and lust. Perhaps some few people may be predisposed to having desires for the other sex, but they are disordered and unnatural. If someone's predisposed to alcoholism, the best course of action is to help them become sober, not to encourage them to indulge in their harmful drinking.
