What do you guys think of The Book of Enoch? I'm not to sure if should read it or not because it may be false but some of it actually sounds like it could've happened

It is canonical within the Ethiopian Orthodox if I am not mistaken.

It’s a complete satanic lie that supports reincarnation. Something not supported once in the original 66 books we were given. Neither are the timing of its days and weeks supported by revelations. It’s nothing but a clever lie.

You should read it like you should read all apocryphal texts

>What do you guys think of The Book of Enoch?

It's important scripture for the end times that the jews, catholics, and protestants tried to erase from history. The Book of Enoch covers in detail things that were only glossed over in the bible. The reason why the bible only glossed over them is because the book of Enoch was already scripture by the time Moses wrote the torah.

You should study the book of Enoch as much as you study the bible.

No. That’s not the one. I replied to it several times and mentioned the fact that I now knew the names of seven demons and their crafts because I read the book of Enoch a little to finally shut that anon up the way he needs to be. I went on to say I didn’t know a single demon name and hadn’t read any in any apocrypha book except the one that he kept mentioning. I ended with calling him a baphomet worshiping “turd” (not the word I used) and told him the names of those seven demons were his for-fathers. Yeah I got pretty heated in it.

I woke up craving his reply so I can argue some more. But it seems the whole convo was deleted. Maybe it was the whole thread and maybe just up until that point. The thing about posting late into the night is your never sure which one it was.

The Lexham English Septuagint has Enoch in the back. Interesting, I was planning on getting this version anyway.

It's an alternative gospel, so not part of the bible.

I read it the other day. I wouldn’t call it an alternative gospel. Gospel refers to the NT does it not? I would call it a false book that tries to summarize the entire Bible in a few chapters while at the same time educating you on the names of 21 demons and there crafts. It’s the most confusing “apocrypha” book I’ve ever read and the name of Jesus is not mentioned once. I’m very confident it was written by someone who wanted to make a book that sounds biblical but is clearly not. Also it’s written like Enoch wrote it and Enoch talks like he wrote the book and then physically handed it to humans. He talks like he was in heaven when he finished it. It’s a very poorly put together hoax. Just my take on it.

The book of Enoch used actually be apart of the canonical bible. The story is that it was taken out to save money on printing back when printing was very expensive. Another story is that jews didn't want it as canon because it predicts Jesus as being the messiah so accurately.

It is not “apocrypha” as others call it. It is referenced to multiple times in the bible. The books of Enoch were written before the flood, later being passed through to Noah, then eventually Moses, etc.

IMO there was a conspiracy to get rid of these very important books from the bible(not just Enoch) for multiple reasons. It's also convenient how they ended up with 66(lol), the original bible had way more than that, 81-83 something like that I believe.

Give it a read and treat it as canon, because all the earlier Christians did. Cheers! Yeshua is King!

Unfortunately I couldn’t find that scripture in it. But I know what I saw when I first was sent to the book of enoch to reference something. Methuselah was on his death bed and telling his children they would return to the earth through birth several times. It pissed me off and that’s why I remembered it. I was researching an extended and censored part of revelation book and it lead me through a reference to the book of Enoch. Both the extended revelation book and the book of Enoch are fakes. But I read the book of Enoch the other day and I’m more convinced than before it’s a hoax. Let me bring that thread to the surface so you can read my explanations.

We don't need a council to decide this for us, if you read it at any time you would know from the outset, the book is outright ridiculous like something some false prophet would come up with. Same goes for all apocrypha. That's clearly what it is.

>The story is that it was taken out to save money on printing back when printing was very expensive.

Do you have a source for what you say?

> Another story is that jews didn't want it as canon because it predicts Jesus as being the messiah so accurately.

Sounds like a really convincing story but is any part of this story actually true? I thought we were telling truth here not making up stories that sound believable trying to make one that sticks.

>It is referenced to multiple times in the bible.

No it's not. Copying stuff from the Bible such as the name Enoch does not count. Simply because you call it that doesn't actually make it written by the person. You have to actually prove what you say. This isn't a hug circle where everyone's opinions matter.

>IMO there was a conspiracy to get rid of these very important books from the bible(not just Enoch) for multiple reasons.

Who cares about your notional opinion, we should only be concerned with finding the truth. Why should we care about your opinion? What if your opinion is wrong? Just because it's your opinion doesn't make it right. Why are you wasting our time? This is no different than how the Caths argue for apocrypha.

>Give it a read and treat it as canon, because all the earlier Christians did.

Just because you say something doesn't mean it's true. Maybe you won't realize that until one day the pavement finally gives you a reminder I guess. None of what you said has any reason by anyone to be believed. Just because you think it, means nothing, because you could be wrong. The facts are what they are, it's not a democracy where everyone has a vote and each person has their voice to materialize facts out of thin air just because they think so.

> if you read it at any time you would know from the outset, the book is outright ridiculous

Then why was it considered to be scripture for thousands of years before the catholics suppressed it? Why is it quoted in the bible? Why is the book of Enoch alluded to dozens of times in the bible? At the outset is talks about the fall of the watchers, which the bible also says occurred. Does it sound ridiculous to you in the bible as well? The book of Enoch was found in a community of Ethiopian Jews that left Israel during the exile in Babylon. It's not some recent forgery, we know the Jews viewed to it be scripture for a minimum of hundreds of years before the birth of Christ. Of course, the catholics tried to stomp it out and burned every copy they could find after the council of Nicaea and the jews were worshipping the devil by that point so they didn't like the Messianic prophecy and they also suppressed it.

>Sounds like a really convincing story but is any part of this story actually true?

Yes. It prophecies the messiah more clearly and numerously than any other book of the bible. If you'd read it you wouldn't need to ask the question.

>No it's not. Copying stuff from the Bible such as the name Enoch does not count.

You have it completely backwards. The bible copies the book of Enoch. Moses read the book of Enoch. Moses left a lot of out genesis because it was already written in the book of Enoch. That's why his record of things like the sons of God and the giants is so fragmented- because Enoch had already written it down.

More importantly, you're not a Christian so why are you here? You can tell by you hateful attitude and demeanor that your only goal is to start trouble. You don't care whether the book of Enoch is true or false, you just want an excuse to use a person as your whipping boy.

The book of Enoch is Bullsh!t. You haven’t read it. It clearly does not fit anywhere in the Bible. I just read it the other day and found many serious contradictions. No other apocrypha book I’ve read is so heavily wrong. It’s clearly a hoax book. No one in their right mind would support it. And there is no proof Moses had the book. I don’t remember the name of Jesus in a single verse of it. And it mentions the names of demons several times. Anyone supporting the book of Enoch is a fool.

Stop telling people they are not Christians, read the book of Enoch carefully. I’m a fan of some apocrypha books, but the book of Enoch is like the retarded cousin of the family of apocrypha books. No one with a basic knowledge of all 66 available books would defend it.

Read the damn book you preach about all the time. I’ve been through this already. I listed the contradictions. Your just gonna ignore them? I gave good reasons. You defend this book to a fault. You defend it blindly. Just because someone told you it’s a secret book you ate it up and dillusionally defend it like a beaten up wife defends her abusive husband.

Your suspicions on the book of Enoch is sound, but I would not say the same goes for all apocrypha books. I have seen clear reasons as to why some are truly kept away from Christians in order to keep us ignorant of some things, but the book of Enoch is as stupid as you suspect it of being. I hope you won’t judge all apocrypha books according to the book of Enoch. In fact, I think I’ll start a thread of another apocrypha book I know to be false and explain why I believe it’s false so I can show others here how I judge such things.

the same could be said of the bible. What it comes down to is that it's worth reading. once you read the book of Enoch, you understand how the world works, how the fallen angels established their dominion on earth and how they maintain it. Then all the conspiracy theories start to fall into place. Occultists shouldn't know our history better than we do

It is my belief after reading the book of Enoch that Occultists wrote the book of Enoch. It is a clever lie mixed with truths. But a lie is a lie. Enoch did not write the book. It is a false book. It does not explain the things you say it does, it just sounds like it’s explaining them. It contradicts bible principles. It’s explanations of Heaven are contradicting revelations’. I can go on and on and I have. Everyone here can read it if they like, your not gonna get curses or anything. But for those that read it and want to ignore all the faults in it and focus on what they see as truth, well, you may need to re-educate yourself in the original 66 books.
