Why should western thought be saved? This is a genuine question that no one has given me a satisfactory answer. By this I do not mean whiteness, albeit the two are confused. Slavsq are white but not western, for example. I ask what does western civilization have the others do not that unifies it. I take it to be the view that love is a suffering. I don't believe it is compatible with Christianity, since it demands intoxication instead of sobriety.

Even piety is taken by it to be akin to suffering, think of how suffering is the apex of western Christianity. Be it also physical and mental, in the sense of the Roman stigmata, or mostly mental, as in the Protestant shout-preaching.
