The Priests did it in the old testament, the Apostles did it in Acts, can we do it now? is there scripture against it?

this is a good and important question. It’s not advised against, unless you consider it to be tempting God. For example, if you roll some dice to see if you can commit sin, God may be angered by this and punish you by removing his influence from the dice. So I would suggest using only good outcomes as possibilities rather than bad and sinful ones. I think using lots throughout our daily lives would help cultivate within us an appreciation of God’s sovereignty and his good plans for us. Whatever happens is the will of God, so we have no reason to complain because of the things we face in this world. People already accept the validity of lots even from a secular perspective, so imagine how accepting Christians would be, knowing that God is overseeing everything.
Proverbs 16:33
>The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.

I would say if you're using it to cause contentions to cease rather than using it to create contention then it is a useful tool for that. I don't know any scripture against using it specifically, but as the majority things there are good and bad uses.
The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty. Prov. 18:18
