I don't believe a word of the Bible beyond it occasionally mentioning a person or place that we know for a fact did exist; since the Bible and Christianity as a whole has been disproven on a factual basis I believe the only future the Church has is as a bastion of culture and community. As an American who grew up in the Lutheran church I find it an incredible missed opportunity that worship wasn't done entirely in Deutsch; it would make my Kirchengemeinschaft feel more insular than it really is. It would make learning Deutsch really simple if we had sung "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott" instead of "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God".

What I'm saying is that the Lutheran Churches in America should ignore their petty differences and unite to become the Deutsche Evangelische Kirche(not to be confused with whatever they have in the BRD) and replace their American flags with Hakenkreuz flags. Their role is to be bastions of Deutsche Kultur in America.

For Catholics you could have mass entirely in Latin I suppose.

what is the point of this thread to be racial or something? Because to put brothers and sisters of christ in racial categories doesn't work especially among hispanics where they feel more related in their culture and most of the time (not always) have spanish blood.
